Looked for a thread I thought I made. If someone finds it let me know....

 

I don’t stray too far from MGS for my golf intel, but I checkout another place from time to time... it’s getting rather warm on this topic. Looks like they are releasing these things in 4 days. Taylormade is pulling at my heart. My childhood golf idol, my favorite brand of clubs... in a combo.

 

I was about to jump ship to Nike before they left the golf market, I hit those Vapor pro’s and they were amazing. If they (I’m sure they did) match that feel I’ll be in trouble............

 

I said I’d own a set, but if they are priced anything like those new titleist concpts...

Mike Taylor has still been pretty involved in Tiger's irons even now he's with TM so feel should be fairly similar.

Can't imagine a pure blade could sell for even half what those concept irons are selling for even with Tiger's name on 'em. Probably be around 1500 USD at most for 3-PW.

I hate the direction golf equipment prices are going.

Much like gas it has been made out of the same materials for ever, and it’s not like these are spaceships.

I get the whole cool box release thing. Well no I don’t actually.

Sure, $2000 for a set of blades is a bit pricey, but I’ve heard the unboxing experience includes a copy of Tiger’s little black book.

Nope. Cheaper than pxg and on par with miura. Plus they are limited release and can’t be bought other than 3-p with the exact specs of tiger. The design process Tm has gone thru to get tiger what he wants in his irons from looks, feel, launch is pretty interesting. They have several videos up on their YouTube channel about it.

I was able to go to the customization and pre-order process and took out the 3-iron, and it brought the total price down. So, I'm assuming you don't have to order 3-PW. Also, you can adjust loft, lie and length to your own specs.
