ZenGolfer
5'10" - 34" putter. I started out using 35" putters, then tried 34", then play 33" for a number of years and am now back to 34". NativeTxn
I'm about 6' 3" in golf shoes, and I've always used a 35". But I prefer a more upright posture, and I've recently felt like a 35" required me to lean over more than I care to. I recently did a putter fitting, and 36" was the sweet spot for my preferred posture, so that's what I'll be trying very soon. in3948, fozcycle and fixyurdivot
Popular Post ED13
The problem with the idea of using height to determine putter length is the length of your arms will have a huge impact. That's why many putting fittings use height and wrist to floor measurement. I still don't think that makes a perfect recommendation because some people use a more modern putting style that is more upright and others use a more classic style of being more bent over. IMO, anther thing that often gets overlooked with putter length is how it can change your eye line. If your putter is too short, it can cause you to stand on top of the ball too much and move your eye line outside of the ball, causing you to miss your putts to the left. If its too long, it can move your eye line inside of the ball, making you miss your putts to the right. I found when I played 35" that I always missed to the right and when I went 33" I always missed to the left but 34" seems to be the sweet spot for me.
