I was relieved from duty, and new tradition has it now that three of us go to breakfast the Thursday prior to the drill weekend. So good breakfast will be coming so I can stuff my face. Writing up the unofficial review of the Wilson triad balls and I realized in my haste, I didn’t grab pics on the course. So I will delay posting it until I can get some pics next Friday on the course.

Golfing today because Midwest and we have all 4 seasons here in less than a week.  65 today, 70 Friday.   Snow… Sunday!?!?  Sigh.

Hey MGSpies, I tried something totally cool that works! 

Wanted to respond to a post that was about a subject not really another  "Good Morning" as I already made that post.  You know how those tangent comments drag the focus down a rabbit hole.

With 2 messages I wanted to quote (used the "+" next to "Quote" for them) I went to the thread where it is part of the discussion and BAM! the quotes were still there and I made the post there and everyone on that thread can see the comment and continue the conversation if they choose in context!!!

Just an idea as you know how many pages this thread gets to at times and catching up on a missed day can seem to take forever.

Yah, living in the Midwest is a doozy. Glad I had just enough room for the net in my garage I set up this year.

Good morning MGS Troops! Looks like the weather isn't going to cooperate this weekend here in wonderful Wyoming. It is spitting snow this morning and it's not even in the forecast for today. This weekend's outlook is snow. Hopefully Colorado has warmer weather, but my daughter has hockey at CU over the weekend, so no outdoor golf for me. At least I have the family over for the superbowl. Go 9ers!!!

Solid layer of frost on everything this a.m. so guess it's not quite Spring yet; tho we may have a little warmup tomorrow or Saturday.

Last email from the golf club I belong to, which is part of a group, just took over a very fancy looking club out in Monterey CA so now we have a potential stay and play there someday.

Also I've been exercising pretty steadily since the end of last year, and feel like I'm in much better condition vs last year (or last few years?) and .. no surprise .. I am *pumped* for the Kingsmill Outing!!!

Good morning forum-goers ! 

North Georgia has been blessing us with some fantastic weather as of late. The sun is even starting to go down later. I can feel spring approaching and I couldn’t be happier.

In other news, the pro shop down the hall put the new Qi10 Drivers and fairway woods on display! These things look absolutely incredible. I wasn’t expecting to like the look of the woods as much but this year’s model looks to have a bit shallower face, which is a look I prefer. Even still, the drivers are what have my interest. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to test one.

Good morning all,  going to be 60 and sunny today a great day to be on the course, too bad my clubs are in Arizona already . Planning on taking a couple irons from my old set to a place with a simulator and hit some balls to get a few swings in before we leave. Last year it was so warm in February we got to play 3 times before we left. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone and happy community call day. Sadly, will miss the call today but that’s because I will be on a golf course! Gonna be a great use of a sick day, lol. Gonna have my phone holder mounted on my Nitron so I can get photos and video and this will be my first time getting to test out the Odyssey Ai-One in the wild. Hopefully the greens are in decent shape. Sunday is shaping up to be a decent looking day as well but the overnight lows might prevent courses from opening. Hoping I can sneak in one more round before the next cold snap comes through. Hope everyone has a great day ahead and may golf be in your plans.

Hello from a soggy northern Mexico. Ensenada has been caught in that atmospheric river of moisture that soaked Cali earlier in the week. I guess it is our turn now. At least the course will be looking green and the waterways on course will be getting full. Hoping the rains hold off so I can maybe get a round in today. My best to you out there, whatever you're doing.

Thursday has arrived bringing 70’s temperatures with it. Tee time at 10:00 with the Ancient Agers, hopefully we will be more than one foursome. 
  Early, so early this morning, the family’s CEO/CFO asked me if I had any idea how much I spent on golf last year… It was early and  I was feeling a little insubordinate.. So, I replied; “ Not nearly enough, but I will make up for it this year “….. Oh, man if “ LOOKS “ could kill. Currently in the club’s parking lot in my man cave/truck. Thought it was better to go with that, discretion instead of valor thing. 
    For those that can, enjoy the community call, looking forward to someone posting a Cliff Notes recap of the call.  
   May the rest of you have an easy peasy Thursday as you headed towards Friday.

I also buy chiro ..... it's helped me.  Same result: first visit the guy told me one leg was shorter than the other, and then explained why.  As I've corrected that I certainly feel better.

Good morning Spy world, hope you all are doing well.  Today's going to be a great day: I have a tee time!

Started the morning early, my wife and I like to do breakfast for our daughter and two of the grandkids some mornings - the kids live next door to us so it's easy to deliver.  Today is our daughters birthday, so they kids got cranberry-walnut stuffed French toast with eggs and bacon.  We're good grandparents, arent' we?  

A little running around this morning, then pick up the grandson at school and head to the tee box.

Good morning spies!

Woke up this morning feeling pretty refreshed. I love Thursdays as it is really a free day! Coursework for the week is about 90% done, but unfortunately the actual courses aren't looking good enough to play on yet. Same for the ranges. Anyways, going to get the day started and make the best of it!

Got some driver practice in yesterday.  Warming up was fantastic, with several good iron shots and some driver rockets.  But then the right thumb decided to get involved in a big way, which caused the usual issues. It’s incredible how much that one digit can impact swing path, club face alignment, and all sorts of mechanics for me. I have a nice blister to show for it.  The good news is that diagnosing the problem is very simple with the blister! With a lesson coming up and pain as a motivator this should be fixed quickly, and I will go back to hitting my version of driver bombs.  Sometimes playing drums can be a real detriment to the golf swing!  

The garage sim materials are starting to arrive. It’s very exciting for me. More to come on that front.

Good Morning all!

Bossman was in market this morning heading to my coworker now, but find out that in his opinion I’m doing a solid job. Always welcome hearing things like that as I have a tendency to be a bit had on myself and my abilities. Should be able to finish everything I need to today so that tomorrow is about a half day of work and potentially at least a 9 hole late morning or early afternoon. Have a good one all!

Morning all! Hitting the road shortly. Had a wonderful visit with my dad. Apart from helping out with chores around the house, I got updated with what’s happening with aunts, uncles and cousins and their families. Talked about the old days and laughed about past. 

I’ve got an outside chance to play an old favorite course of mine later this afternoon before heading back. We’ll see how it goes.

I also stayed up and watched most of the Good Good Desert Open. I missed the final 2 or three holes, but it seemed like there was a lot of good golf from the more well known creators!  I do wish they would've shown more shots from everyone there, but the commentary was funny and right on-brand. Gets two thumbs up from me . I'd watch another one.

Good morning, Spies! Got back from my work trip last night to find my garage sim is slowly coming together. The TV, which I am using in lieu of an expensive projector, and the Garmin have arrived and are sitting in my bedroom. Waiting on the Spornia net, which I have been assured is en route. Now to get the garage cleaned out. While waiting for the net, I may unpack the Garmin, take it to the range and try it out there.

I see I'm not the only one putting those pieces together, Nice setup @IndyBonzo!

Happy for my son. Tonight is his last night as the night desk clerk of a hotel in @BKervin territory, Pawleys Island SC. Monday morning he starts a new job at a nearby hotel that hasn't even opened yet. He'll still work nights, some, which is OK with him, but during the process of getting the hotel ready for a March grand opening he will work a lot of days, which he hasn't done since a summer job in college. But this new job is definitely a promotion for him. Something his old man has never had; I've changed jobs a lot, lateral moves, downward moves or doing entirely different, but I've never been promoted.

Good Morning everyone!!  Hope you are having a great day and the weather permits some golf.  37º now but headed to 51º and sunny this afternoon.  Yesterday's practice session went well, and I would do it again today but a contractor is coming at 9am to tear down my patio cover and erect a new one.  Here is what it look like now, except this photo was take a couple of years ago in the spring...

This cover is 20 years old and while it still is functional except for a couple of leaks, I don't like it.  New patio cover should be completed by Monday.  Stay tuned...

If I asked about launch angles, most of my buddies would ask what have I been smoking or drinking when at the end of the day, we’re just trying to get the ball as close to the hole as possible. lol... that is a great post... and I wish I could embrace the numbers I deliver on launch monitors, and I do see more and more golfers understanding them and using them to improve. Which is awesome as it makes the game more fun and engaging. 

I do most of my work "in the dirt" so to say and by watching the best players at my level and how they are striking the ball etc.

51 Degrees at 7am tee off, a bit cloudy, but then this thing called the Sun popped out about an hour later.  No wind, beautiful morning.  Only able to walk 9 holes this morning, club had tournament at 8:30am.  Still a nice walk.  High today 75 degrees. 

On first cup of Nespresso espresso at home (3rd cup overall).  Working from home today.

Glad that temps are sneaking into the mid-50s today. Seems like a lot of people are enjoying nicer weather this week. Hoping it doesn't come back to bite us in the near future...

Excited for the WM Phoenix Open to start today. A very fun event with a lot of the top guys competing. Hoping to watch a bit in between work and the community call later.

Coffee in hand and lots of work to do.
