No golf today, stuck in the office but will get some range time in after work tomorrow and have a work golf outing Thursday. Weather here in Michigan has been great for golf, supposed to be sunny and 80s all week

Good Morning All, 

The morning started with coffee and contemplation. It progresses with a swim lesson for the youngest. I’ve been thinking about a change to my long game woods. This afternoon I may go hit some demo woods in pursuit of that line of contemplation. Have a marvelous Tuesday!

Morning all! Work from home day for me, with meetings at 11 and 2. The cat's asleep in my lap (she's mad at me for telling her to get away from the plants her mommy brought home from her classroom for the summer), I'm listening to hometown boys A Wilhelm Scream, and I'm hoping it heats up a bit more so I can go work outside for a bit. Tonight is our first community band rehearsal as we prep for the summer concert series, which is always a fun time.

Good morning everyone! I played a match yesterday with some friends and all four of us shot the same score (88...) so the tie breaker was match play points which I lost... But, the good news is I think after my last 10 rounds or so I have learned that my new "bad" game is closer to 90 than 100-105 which it was not long ago. I am seeing a lot of improvement in my game right now and am down to a 15 handicap after starting as a 29 less than 8 months ago!

 

Also, my trusty Cobra Bio Cell Hybrid has officially bit the dust (memorial service to come later this week) but its replacement is en route! I'll be adding a 23* Srixon ZX Utility Iron with a UST Mamiya recoil 95g shaft to my bag set up this weekend and I am super excited. Although I have really enjoyed the Bio Cell Hybrid, my natural high launch angle combined with Oklahoma winds is not super helpful much of the time. So, I have made the switch from a hybrid to a utility iron and am excited about it. I will post an unofficial review of the ZX Utility Iron in a few weeks!

Happy Tuesday All!

 

In-town baseball season is winding down this week, family vacation next week, and then just summer ball for a few more weeks after that!  It's almost prime golfing season!

Didn't get out over Father's Day weekend but I did get to the range and had a good session to work through some consistency issues and get some more data on the Edel's.

I'm hopeful that with a little more practice I'll get back into form and start putting up some good rounds.  I can't stay near the bottom of the Virtual Tour all year!

Good Morning Everyone!!  Still a chilly 50º in the morning here and cloudy so likely won't get up to 70º as forecasted.  Coffee and exercises complete and ready for the day.  I did go shopping yesterday and ended up with 2 pair of New Balance Brighton golf shoes... very comfy!  I was looking for white, but I needed a pair of black shoes too!!  Got a sale because our only golf store in town is moving to a new location.

My annual golf trip starts today.  This year it is here in my hometown which has good golf and is centrally located.  My brother and cousins are coming in from Florida, Iowa, and Tennessee for six days of golf and fun.  It’s always a good time.

Good morning and happy Hump Day everyone! The weather here is nice right now and my coffee is warm and delicious. 

I woke up this morning having missed a lot of activity on the forum and am working diligently to catch up. It's such a good thing to see.

We're looking at another wet day so any golf activities will be limited to the PuttOut mat and trying out the new putter grip. I did get all the new golf balls marked last night so they're ready to be taken to the course.

Morning everyone. Another day of high 80s and sunshine on tap here. Feels like I may have gotten after it a little more than i thought at the range yesterday. A bit of tightness in the back this morning has got me to grab the massage gun. Probably a good day for a nice stretch and ice bath after work.

Good morning MGSpies from my zero commute Wednesday basement command central where all things work and Forum happen throughout the day  hot coffee waking up the senses as computers come online.  Yesterday got in 9 holes at the local course and still working on consistently good hits for irons to get to the greens but L.A.B. DF2.1 was spectacular with only 3 lag 2-putts, 5 1-putts and a holeout from the first cut for a very decent 48 thanks to a couple triples - as I said getting to the greens is the focus but (T)Less is the driver in my bag now as sometimes shorter distance is better when playing short grass the whole distance from tee to cup.  PGA HOPE session 4 of 6 at Glen Oak GC this evening, hope golf is a part of your day

GM & Happy Wednesday!!  Looks like no golf today, raining now and wil be for a while coupled with yesterday rain going to be CPO and sloppy.  
Too bad been playing almost all Executive lately and start to lose long game feel.

Good Morning Spies,

Such a lovely morning in Central New York. The weather has been great. Enjoying some coffee before taking Riley for his walk. I played 9 yesterday morning. I can’t praise the Paradym X irons enough. Something happened with them yesterday for the first time. When getting fitted, I hit the 7-iron 171 according to Trackman. I had not seen that on the course until yesterday. I had 155 to the center of the green. This is hole is the hardest hole on the course with the green protected in front by water. So I didn’t want to be short. I wasn’t. I caught it flush. To paraphrase the great N.Y. Yankees announcer, John Sterling, “It is high. It is far…”. Flew well over the green. I wasn’t wet so I take that as a win. 
My driver though has been most problematic this season. I have a lesson this afternoon at my home course in the hopes of sorting it out.

It's hard to get excited about your round when you start with an 8 on the first hole but I played better after that, 47 on the front, 42 on the back. Golf this morning at 8:30,our usual 9 holes. Finishing up my cup of joe and getting ready to leave for the course. Have a wonderful day everyone.

oh boy.  gonna be a long day this one.  usually in to work about 6am.  live maybe 30mi from work.... soccer game is tonight at 730... soooooooo im just gonna hang around downtown and kill time till the tailgate starts at 4ish.

Good thing you have the longest daylight hours today!!  Happy Summer Solstice... or as we used to say when kids... Happy Summer Saltine!

Good Morning Everyone!!  I decided to take my black pair of NB shoes out for a test yesterday.  Joined my wife and two of her ladies group friends on #11 (shorter and flatter of our two nines).  Just to give the shoes an extra test, I carried my new MGS Forum Jones Bag.  First time I have carried a bag... ever!!  I always used my carry bags on a push cart and only carried them to the range.  Both shoes and bag were great; my swing wasn't as I had to go directly from my car to the 11th with no warmup.  When we finished at 18, my wife asked if I wanted to play what she calls "an emergency 9"... her way of saying that her round was not what she wanted or expected.  Well, that put us right at Happy Hour at the restaurant/bar on the way home!!

Good Morning All, 

No golf today, as we are taking the kids to Kings Island, a local theme park, for a day of roller coasters and general family fun. Time permitting, I may hit a bucket at the range later, so we’ll see.
