that is so funny you should mention "shell wonderful world of golf" Yesterday was a down day for my wife and I, she was reading an article about a Stanley Thompson design golf course in Nova Scotia, I think it was called Highland Links, a course built in 1938... Anyway I heard that George Knudson and Al Balding played the course in a wonderful world of golf series in 1965... so we watched the darn thing, some good golf was played and fun to see some old footage...

Early session at the range and I forgot my coffee.

A little anxious about today. We’re bringing our dog to have an ultrasound around his lower abdomen because the vet didn’t like what she was feeling when she examined him. Could be nothing. We’ll see.

I'm feeling a bit tired this morning after a post work round, I know this because my brain isn't braining well yet. Hopefully the coffee will kick in soon enough.

Oh what we put ourselves thru to have pets. I wouldnt dream of having it any other way though. I will say a few words for your buddy and hopefully all goes well.

Good morning all, a balmy 38° this morning in Florida where I moved to get out of the cold!  Though we will make it to the low 70’s today , this river of cool temps just keeps flowing , almost as warm up north yesterday . Tale of 2 nines yesterday , front played like a dumpster fire 40° when we teed off but after shedding some clothes played best of the group on the back , guess I’m a slow learner . Today is gym , practice and home chores as the norm . May you each have a day to celebrate in whatever you undertake . Be grateful, kind, and your families blessed .

Had a nice day yesterday with the kids getting out to the library for a bit which seems to have helped having that change of scenery. I also was glad to get a great run in for the first time in a few days with a busy work schedule. Kids have skiing this evening and I have a morning full of meetings coming up.

Well, good morning spies!

Pleasant wake up at 0200 this morning to the fire alarms going off within my complex. But for once, it was actually a fire, albeit a small one. Somebody left their cast iron on the hot stove after dinner and I am curious, how long does a cast iron have to be scorching hot before it's toast?

Mr. Pickles hates the noise and I feel for the guy. If it is loud for me I can only imagine his little ears!

Thankfully, it has stopped but now I am awake 🫨 

Hope your Thursday morning starts better than mine everybody!

Cloudy today, and not as warm as yesterday, as the temperatures now seem to be on a downhill slide though the weekend.

8am shotgun start for us today looking to reclaim our title after losing it badly last year due to some bev cart gal spiking our drinks with Bourbon on the rocks. Just can't find good help these days it's a balmy 62° here and today's high is a very rare perfect 72° perfect golf weather and a great day to do something positive in the world!!!! Good morning and happy Thursday spies! Sitting at 32° at the moment but we are looking at another afternoon right around 60°. That is definitely making the drive home quite pleasant. I’ve been taking walks with my wife in the late afternoons lately and yesterday’s ended up being more of an early evening. Less traffic made the walk a little more peaceful but the absence of light made me realize that that there are a few trees and bushes that need to be trimmed along the sidewalk in my neighborhood.

Best of luck at the vet today @berkeleybob, fur babies are family in my household as well.

Hope the rest of your day goes well @Michael.Sandoval33. That’s not the type of wakeup that anyone needs to start their day but good thing it was small.

Good morning all, and best wishes for your pupper @berkeleybob. I just brought one of our pups in to check out a growth that’s been getting a little bigger and grosser. Waiting on a biopsy result now.

Meanwhile, I am finally making it in to my doc to chat about blood pressure. Should have time for a quick workout, and might stop by the range after as a reward for taking care of myself.

Nearly the weekend and it’s really starting to warm up now! I’ll be able to get some rounds in soon and start working on getting that handicap down, we’ll see if the all the practice pays off.

Good morning everyone. Another beautiful weather day in store as we are expected to again be in the 60s. In February no less. Really have to find a way to get on a course this weekend before the next cold snap comes through.

@berkeleybob I hope the vet visit goes smoothly. I’ve had to many of those trips over the years with bad news waiting. Hoping yours comes back with a clean bill of health. 

Wont be able to be on the community call today but next week looks more promising. I’ll be eager to read about the contents later this afternoon. Hope everyone has a great day ahead.

Good morning, Spies!

It's a balmy February day in Indy.  52* at present, which is 6* warmer than at my parents' place in Tampa.  Should I call them and casually ask about the weather?  

Made it to the office early.  I tried all the way here to turn the SOS mode off on my phone.  Figured it was a fat thumb error.  Nope.  The nationwide cellular outage has hit Indy.  I am fortunate to have functioning wifi at home and work; I feel for all those whose lives will be disrupted by this today.  And I truly hope the cause is not something nefarious.

What a way to start the day, 62* and headed up into the 80* range. Going to be a beautiful day on the course today even if it is windy. Hard to believe this weather but definitely not complaining.

Hope all is well with your fur baby @berkeleybob. Looking forward to the community call today after this morning's round.

Me bride has just presented me with a couple of sausage and egg biscuits, so I better get busy and enjoy before heading to the course.

Good Thursday morning, golfers!  It is golf day here in SW MO and the weatherman says a high of 65°.  I will have light layers and plan on finishing my round in shorts, which as I have probably mentioned before, is unusual for February.

Great news @berkeleybob! I have a vet trip x 2 scheduled Tuesday for my cats. Mostly annual shots, but the slightly younger cat has been throwing up too much lately and also has scratched herself to shreds. I suspect the cure for the latter will be just claw trimming, but we will see. The older one is ridiculously healthy at age 12, despite having only three legs. I think I've mentioned here that we have 8 cats; six are GF's and my two. We try to keep them apart to minimize territorial conflict, but occasionally they mix in the backyard. I'm told my 3-legged one took a swipe at one of GF's kittens on Tuesday out there.

Another work and travel day on this chilly morning in southern NC. Should be through at work shortly after noon, and may hit a local driving range before (or after) driving back to Raleigh this afternoon, to work on the stuff the teacher gave me at the lesson Monday evening. Since it was driver-oriented, no chance to try it out at The Cradle yesterday.

Good morning MGS Troops! I was going to get out today and play a round until I looked at the weather report. I’m hoping it’s just a dusting and maybe get out a little later but it looks like I’ll have to wait till tomorrow. Los Poopies didn’t want to join me for my morning cup o Joe outside this AM.
