For charity, I overpaid (very slightly) for a Vessel Tito’s Vodka branded carry bag.  It’s much more gorgeous in real life!

Was in driver fitting yesterday. We actually had one session with fitter earlier but we couldn't find a combination that would work for me. This time we found something and I pulled the trigger. I will be getting AI Smoke Max head with Tour AD CQ 6X shaft. 

I don't know if it is my current swing but or something else but I really noticed how big impact the shaft has. With some other shafts it felt like whole different club. Current club has been working otherwise quite good but I was willing to get a bit higher trajectory and finding more fairways. I really believe that this one ticks the boxes

Ordered a GrooveIt brush with the MGS discount. My old brush was dying, and this should be significantly nicer than having a soaking wet towel hanging off my bag at all times.

I've basically gotten a whole new bag. Cobra Darkspeed X Driver, Taylormade Stealth Plus 3 Wood, Callaway AI Smoke 7 Wood, Cobra 3 Hybrid, Sim Max 2 4 Hybrid, Odyssey Cruiser Double Wide Putter, and should be getting some built Mizuno JPX 923 Forged coming in the next few days!

Underrated golf course product (almost a necessity). I need to order some as gifts for a couple of my golf mates. They keep stealing mine to clean the rock hard soil out of their clubs. I'm pretty sure they only clean their clubs when they have access to my GrooveIt brush!

Most recent purchase was a Cleveland HB Soft Milled #4 w-UST shaft. Immediate massive results, best bang for buck as far as payoff to my scores personally, over any previous equipment change.

 

On the prowl for a new 3W to replace an older Taylormade M2 that I really liked but somehow has a small split developing center of the lower lip on the face. I am unsure how that even happened? Recommendations welcome.

Morning MGS!

Wet again today but might try to hit some pitch and chips at the practice free at the range. Tee time for Sunday hopefully they don’t close due to rain this week, but if they do I’ll watch the masters from the couch instead of on my phone. We were going to try for Saturday but my 8th grader is in for 2 events at the track and field invitational and to be honest I’m way more excited to watch him run than play! Hit em straight and long if you get out this weekend!

Bought a replacement driver shaft for my new-to-me Ping G430LST. I found the Ping Tour 2.0 Chrome 65X too high launch, high spin and flexible for me. So I picked up a Mitsubishi Kai'Li 60X shaft to try out. Might have time to hit the range tomorrow, but likely I'll be taking it straight to the course Sunday morning to see if it suits me. Ha ha.

I tried out a G430LST with the Kai'Li shaft in the hitting bays at Golf Galaxy a week ago and it immediately felt better suited and stiffer. Their launch monitor showed a more controllable fade and lower launch and spin than I have been seeing with the Ping Tour shaft. Can't wait to try this out!

Also fitted a new Jumbomax Ultralight STR8 X-small grip to try out. I've been trying out different size Jumbomax Ultralight and Zenlite grips to find an oversize grip to settle on for the bag. First time trying a STR8 grip, but I like there not being a taper (I have Golfpride Tour Velvet Midsize Plus4 grips on my irons).

All I heard was whatever golf clubs you want.... as you try and explain the $5000 new bag. 

Also as a huge proponent of Cleveland cbx wedges for most amateurs, i play them myself. I highly recommend considering the CBX full face 2 in 56 and 60 instead of CBX 4.

Just got my Shot Scope X5 yesterday. It's charging up now.
I have an H4, and the only reason I'm giving this a go was the $70 discount I got. I'll save the v2 tags for new clubs later this spring. My v1 tags are still supposed to work.

Miura wedges.
LAB putter.
TSR driver/fw/hybrid with Ventus shafts.
