@Golfspy_CG2, as the guy who set it all up, is probably signed on the dotted line somewhere as liable for our conduct right?  So Saturday we can put on The Thong Song and tear the place apart, and it’s on Rob right?

Same - bringing the electric trolley plus an extra push one for someone else if they want just in case, and will depend on total heat + humidity factor, buuuut.....

Bottom line for me am there more for the camaraderie / hanging with golf bros plus, really, trying to watch and learn from all the better players vs actually trying to play too-serious golf on my own.

Just gave a check to Accuweather... bring light colored shirts and shorts and plenty of water. Real Feel for the weekend tops out over 100 both days with actual temps in the 90's.

I am thinking Blue and Green tees; about 6500 yards.

Here is a course map of the the River.  For the walkers you're only real lengthy trip is between 5 to 6, but it's a doozy!!  4 to 5 is a bit too but not horrible.  Other than those two, it's not too bad.

Looking at the cards I think that seems pretty reasonable. Blue or Blue/Gold on the River, Green or Blue on the Lakes.

Discretion is the better part of valor on the River.  Some decent forced carries, if you are too far back.  Blue is a real challenge and will need to be 240 to 250 off the tee to not hate it.    Blue/Gold should be fine the majority.   7,9,11, 14 and 15 are ball busters from the blues.

No tee shaming here CK, play what makes you feel comfortable! Just throwing out where I think the majority of us might choose to live on the courses, but anywhere you can have fun is alright by us.

Yea 100 degree real feel I’m not walking in that did that once this year couldn’t finish my round due to heat issues

I hear ya man. Again, discretion is the better part of valor here. Last thing I want is anyone to feel sick or potential hurt themselves on this trip trying to 'prove something.' We're all human, or at least I hope we are. No shame in trying to take it easy for a fun round with friends.

No doubt, I've gotten to the point that if I"m playing a round (non competitive of course) and I get to a tee box that I know will just make the hole too long for me, or that I might not carry a hazard, I just say, I'm teeing it forward on this hole then go to the next.  

I'm almost as short of hitter as there is and the Blue/Gold are generally fine for me there.  There will be a hole or two where I know I'm not going to reach the green if my tee shot was a bit off, but the really tough holes as mentioned above are fine from the Gold,  maybe throw 4 in there as well depending on the wind

 

Man..just talking about the course already has me depressed about missing out on this

As far as tee choice goes, we could keep options open to include using a different color tee placement for each hole when looking at what the carry looks like (my driver is about 200 with exceptional hits max at 220).  

The River course does come right past the clubhouse and parking lot on the way to 10.  But remember your car will most likely be parked at the cottage down by 2.   I think there is also a small snack shack right by the 10th tee. 
 

As for weather the course is right on a very large river..almost a bay.  So you get a bit of breeze there often.

Kind words but I know my reality with a flat stick. I don’t putt anywhere near well enough for my index, been that way for 30 years.
