No surprise Maxfli continues to churn out good tour-quality balls.  I’m a fan of the Tour S personally.  I found it to be straight, with a low, penetrating flight and very good greenside performance.  Thanks for the work on the review and excellent write-up.

Echoing @IndyBonzo- I’ve played the Tour this summer and I’m very impressed with the performance.  Planning to try out the X and S next to compare the differences - my friend is a huge fan of the X.

I have been playing what I had left of my 2021 Maxfli Tour X balls for the last several weeks, and I absolutely love those balls. I think that it’s going to be a difficult choice when I need new golf balls among these three: Vice Pro Plus, 2023 Maxfli Tour, and 2023 Maxfli Tour X.

I picked up some Maxfli Tours for comparison in my Sugar Pure testing, and they quickly became my favorite/best performing ball.

However, in a blind feel comparison I would prefer the softer Sugar ball compared to the regular Tour. Interested to see if the Tour S gives me both good performance and better feel.

Also, the ball lab testing has transitioned to HQ so the reports will be coming from there in the future.   Tony brought all the gauges down during the ball test prep.

Solely based on the ball lab, I am thinking about giving the Tour S a try. I prefer a softer feeling golf ball, and with just a slightly lower compression than the Tour, which I already enjoy, I'm thinking I might really like this ball. Excited to see how it performed in testing!

I also picked up a dozen Maxfli Tour X earlier this year - based on a previous Ball Lab report. The results have been great!! I like the extra step of CG alignment....something no other ball company (which I'm aware of) offers.

I am a fan of the TM Tour Response, as I also liked the previous TM Project a (which the Response replaced).

The Tour S sounds like it may be a blend of the Maxfli X & TM TR, which would make it my new gamer

Missed this one and will admit it's not a golf ball I would consider playing, but there is a reason why a Lab was done on it as there are a lot of golfers our there playing this golf ball!

I’ve tried their ball more than once over the years and never like the high spin rate. I’ve spun many off the green in my day. It was even more intriguing to see how much variance there was from ball to ball. Wonder if the PXG balls from the same plant have the same issues.

I would love to see a ball lab on the ODIN X1 after how well they performed for our testers 

Could easily become a cult favorite like the Maxfli Tour series with the price point and performance!

That would be awesome!  I do plan on trying them out after I play this round of Maxfli

They feel great based on the indoor hitting I've been able to do with them. Definitely a softer feel than my current run of gamers which is the ProV1x & Left Dash and Maxfli Tour X (yes, I'm a ho, no shame). A couple new sims just opened up at a course about 15 minutes from our house, So I will for sure be taking a mix, including the X1, to see how it's performance differs from the firmer balls I am planning on playing this year.

I used the old MAXFLI in the 90s. I would often hunt for them in the single ball bins in the golf stores in Myrtle Beach. They great balls but I found them consistent. I look forward to the Tour S as I am a little older now. Is anyone aware of specials deals on them?

I just saw an MGS email for a deal on Maxfli of your choice: $120 for 4 dz, I believe.

Might be worth the flyer on the Bison Trust V. An inexpensive urethane ball geared toward faster swings. It appears that their only issue was some of the balls exceeding the weight standard, which might lead to further distance. hmm

I've played the Trust ball before, but a version for a step-up in swing speed, the Bison X.  I decided to try them when I saw the deal they had going of $20/dozen and needed a decent ball for fall golf in WI but that I wouldn't mind losing (disappearing balls in the leaves gets expensive!).  My thoughts on it are that it performed well for a very inexpensive ball, but it has a very firm feeling.  I got the yellow ones and am not a huge fan of the color.  Its not a bright yellow, but more a of a muted yellow.  The spin and flight were good for me (I spin the ball too much with a Pro V).  Worth a shot and worked for what I needed it for, fall golf. 

Another DTC one that I tried and do like more than Trust that you probably never heard of is the Saintnine U-Pro Tour.  They have 4-for-2 deals throughout the year to take advantage of.  Great ball, IMO.

The PXG ball just isn’t for me as someone who puts a lot of spin on the ball to begin with. However, with their hero’s pricing it’s hard to beat
