Good morning spies! Scramble day, never played with the group I’m going to be paired with so I don’t expect we’ll be I the top 3. It’s for a fundraiser for girls softball. I’m happy to oblige! My daughter unit played until she had to play hockey year round. She loved it so what the hell. For Friday fun day I don’t know if I used these funnies but if I did, sorry bout that! Good Friday morning Spies!

Not much happening today. Will be spending the majority of the day in the car headed to SWMBO family reunion for the weekend. Not a bad trip just a boring drive...

Good morning, Spies!! TGIFF!!

I'm a little anxious this morning, as the member-member starts tomorrow. It's 2 rounds on two different courses at Heatherhurst GC (Brae, Crag). I'm not sure why I'm so anxious/nervous since I've played both courses a million times over the past 20 years. Must be that although it's not a super high-end tournament, just playing in any tournament is a new experience and I want to play as well as I can both for me and for dad who's my playing partner.

We have our pre-tournament meeting this afternoon where we'll get the rules and more details about everything. Our tee time tomorrow is 12:24p, which is the latest we've played this season by far. We usually play on Sunday's at 8:30-9am at the various courses here in the Glade. Hopefully the humidity will be down by then and the temps stay in the low 80's like the app has been showing for the past few days. Obviously I'll have snacks, Powerade, Liquid IV powder for my big water mug, PB&J, and my cold towel with me to help with energy and trying to remain hydrated. I'm just trying to tell myself to enjoy the experience, have fun, enjoy the time with my dad, and learn along the way. That helps.

Good morning all!

Was a looooooong night last night with a couple sick kiddos and one waking up at least every 30 minutes if not less until about 3:30 or 4 this morning. Not sure how I am functioning but for now I am for now.

Trying to wrap things up before vacation this week, which should be a great time.

Rainy day here so a good day to pack, run to the store, and relax.

Good Morning!

Played 36 yesterday, so no golf today, but had a great day yesterday.  Really enjoyed the weather and the rounds.  Golfing with great and fun people makes for a great day on the links.

Loving all the new test opportunities currently ongoing at the Forum.  It’s really impressive compared to a few years ago.  From PXG, Titleist, Calloway. etc.  it’s Epic!   Such an amazing level of testing with OEMs.  Clearly the engagement with a vast swath of golfers from various parts of the globe giving real feedback on clubs and other golf items is appealing to them as well.  

Can’t wait to hear more about Community Meet ups in the future.

Ended up with a 2024 Honda Odyssey Sport which was a nice mix of the 2 we were looking at back in March and had the one feature we actually wanted which was the integrated window shades. Busy day at work and need to done by 3 so I can be on full blown dad duty while the wife goes to a movie with her mom and sister. I decided to join a tournament last minute for my High School alma mater this Saturday. This will be a great day to test out the Triple diamond as it's a scramble format so I can let it rip.

Good morning fellow spies and happy Friday! Full day today at work and it's looking to be a relatively busy one, so should go by quickly. The 2nd Annual "Herbie Cup" golf tournament is tomorrow, which I am really excited for as I had to miss the inaugural last year. Herbie is the name of Reedsburg's high school mascot, which is how the naming came to be . It's a Ryder Cup style format and there are 16 players this year, up from 12 last year. We are all getting together this evening for the captains to pick their teams, and then tomorrow, IT. IS. ON.

Handicaps aren't used as not everyone plays enough to have an official, so people report scores if they don't have handicaps and then captains draft accordingly. For the singles portion of the day, you play against the person closest to your skill and play straight up. Should be a super fun day.

Good morning spies, or afternoon as it is here now. A lovely day with temps in the high 70s and expected to reach low 90s over the weekend, which is hot for us. No disorder again last night but they are planning for major disorder over the weekend, add in the high temps which means more alcohol consumption, and there’s a good chance it could kick off. 
We’ve been put on 12 hour shifts and most of us are working our days off for overtime to cover the staffing needs so no golf for me again. I’m hoping the intel is wrong and we have a peaceful weekend as hopefully we will revert to normal hours then and I can get back out on the course. Do these people not realise I’ve got a very important MGS test to be getting on with?????

Morning Party People! While the power crews are still restoring power (I think we’re down to 175k without power now), I’m prepping to venture out to scout the golf courses. Why not call, I hear you cry. Why I can’t, as my cell service here hasn’t been restored and the estimate today is another 67 hours - yesterday it was 51. *flat lipped side eye* However the honest truth is I’m bouncing off the walls and need to get out. Metroparks seem to be open so I’m hoping the little privately owned courses fared well. 
 

Everyone getting heavy rain today, PLEASE be smart and safe. Having lived through Hurricane Harvey, I can say that flooding thing is no joke.

Good morning spies! So I had my conversation with the SLOW guy in the Wild Bunch. Presented the groups point of view then stood there and took it while he got mad and ranted. Once that was over we got down to talking about how the group plays and if he was compatible. We decided that he would try another round or two and work to speed up. 

I will put him in my cart today so I can encourage faster play with a high powered positive spin on the words. I believe the biggest issue is he plays to practice, and instead needs to focus on the shot in front because the shot behind is done and irretrievable. Wish me luck....

@sirchunksalot Covid is exploding here in the Phoenix metro area and pretty much all over the US. It has mutated enough to be not much more than a common flu, but it also might be worth testing to make sure that isn't what you have.

Helped my brother replace his router (with one of my old ones).  Here is his cat "assisting us"

Figured why not add more RGB to my networking equipment...  The replacement is so big it wont fit behind my tv... I will say though it is quite fun getting almost 100mb/s down from 100yards away (Yes I 100% used a range finder to find this).

 

I'm thinking 30 more plant$.

Good Morning everyone!!  Wish we could get some rain here; nothing since early June.  Annual rainfall is about 7 inches, and I think we are on target for less than that.  Reservoirs in the mountains are extremely low.   97º and cloudy today with humidity a little high for us… 25%.  

Not doing much today; it’s a rest day before golf on the weekend!  Next weekend is the Ladies Epson Tour event in Pendleton, OR (about an hour drive away) and I’m thinking about going over next Friday to spectate.  

RIP Chi Chi Rodriguez. Always loved to watch Chi Chi play; such a showman!!

Good Morning everyone. Cannot believe it is already Friday. Here in Austin, TX it’s a comfortable 105F and sunny skies. That still won’t dampen my itch to play golf this weekend. I’m playing a new course outside of town and I’m excited to check it out. I hope yall can have a weekend full of golf as well, and hopefully a little cooler weather.

Morning to everyone. Best thing about Friday is that it's not only work from home day for me, but it's also a half day. Nothing major scheduled for work today, so I'm mainly just finishing up a few little tasks for the week. Hopefully it will be a quick day for work and then I can spend the afternoon in the gym and at the range. 

Still in a holding pattern for my FIL, waiting on insurance approval and some other things before he can be moved to a rehabilitation center. We were hoping that would get done today so that could take care of anything he needed before my BIL and MIL head out tomorrow morning, but that may not be in the cards for the day. Just taking it day by day for now.

Ok guys do not laugh at me. First off I am not a big drinker any more maybe a beer every now and then. In our Member's League we have several Canadian Seasonal members all of them great guys. After play one day I had an Guinness. In season my course stocks them. I had never had one. I liked it ok. I told one of my Canadian buds that was my first Guinness. He laughed and asked where I had been all my life? I told him Down South in the Carolinas where we drink PBR, Budweiser or if we are really broke Milwaukee's Best or Busch. He about fell in the floor laughing at my response

Is that pic some of the Rock Hill boys? You might disown me. I got a call from my Sunday League bud. He is one of the wheels in this are for the USC booster club. They had an event at True Blue Monday Before last. He had several side bets because like 12 players from our course and league play in it. Man it is expensive like $150 per player. He called me like 2 hrs from starting time. One of our guys for some reason had called off at the last minute. Now this guy has more money than you know who and had paid for everything. Please Stuey come I need you. Come to find out he had made several side bets with other teams. In fact one team cancelled the bet when they found out I was the substitute. LOL we did not win the overall event but according to club scuttlebutt our team won every bet. Really nice people and I ran into a guy I had not seen in like 7 years. In staging he had seen my bag with the old lead taped Macs in it and he recognized the Zing too. We talked and he said he knew it was me because no one he knew played such stuff. Yeah Old Rusty Scotty is on vacation for now. Yes it was a well ran event and I enjoyed it but that does not mean I will pull for or become a USC booster. Hope you do not disown me for this. I promise not to wear the USC SEC shirt they gave me when around you. Had fun ate well and it did not cost me one red hot cent

Good late morning spies. Yesterday was a long one. Had a few jobs late in the day that absolutely had to be done for a customer and the only person that was available to run the machine was one of the supervisors. I volunteered to stay to help which put me into a 16 hour day. Have not done that for ages. Just a touch tired today but actually feeling pretty good overall. Definitely no golf this afternoon but hopefully a round or two over the weekend.

I am late to the thread today. Nothing too pressing. Enjoying my afternoon cuppa. Had chores this morning. Catching up on things after 2 1/2 weeks of vacation and a stormy no golf sort of day seemed like the day to do it.
Tropical Storm Debby has brought a ton of rain and a high wind warning from the National Weather Service. No golf league this afternoon.
