The Good Morning Thread

Good morning MGS! Happy Saturday to everyone. I volunteered to go in to work today to help out with the finish department, we usually have a couple of guys to go in and since we had lousy weather yesterday I figured why not. Thanks for the offer of coffee yesterday, @EasyPutter . I did make sure to make mine better this morning. It was a pleasure to get to speak with you and our fellow spies Thursday.

The wife and I are planning on hanging out with some friends tonight and we're looking forward to it.

Goodmorning all.  Got some baseball camp later on, then all the kids have a birthday party to go to at a trampoline park, then maybe doing a hibachi dinner and catching the Bruins on TV.  Should be a good day! 

 

Now... if the snow that fell last night wants to melt that's cool too.

Good morning on this wintery Saturday morning, nothing we make a big deal about.  Busy day on tap, going to pick up son's race packet for next weekend's Shamrock Run, 45th anniversary and I lost track of how many he has run, 8k for those on the actual race and they do virtual participation too since pandemic started.  Then getting taxes done before heading off to Rochester for lunch with son and helping with one of his hobbies.  Can't stay too long with him because session 4 of 6 for PGA HOPE at Wild Wood CC is late afternoon.  Best part is coffee is hot and ready, and also in the thermos for the drives today

We got ourselves a new coffeemaker after the old one was getting a bit tired and worn .. plus butterfingers yours truly cracked yet another carafe while washing it (..I usually keep spares in the garage!) .. and while the new one does a great job of brewing, it has the LOUDEST! "ready" beeps you've ever heard from an appliance!!

..I think maybe it really wants to be a smoke alarm...

Good morning all. Just finished my 3rd cup - one more than the usual. Our puppy had me up at 1:00 am so I'm still a bit bleary eyed. My wife had a 24 hr stomach bug was I was the one in charge of the puppy. I'm getting ready to head out for our normal Saturday morning couples match - sans wife. She wants another day to recover since we have our monthly couples event tomorrow. Thankfully the wind has died down to the normal 12-15. Yesterday's game was in winds of 25 - gusting to 31. It was interesting to say the least - especially on the greens. 

Hope everyone has a great Saturday - I should be home in time to see JT's and Speith's progress towards the top of the leaderboard and Rickie's elevation to something better than 14th.

8:30 got out to do backyard shrubs and pickup all my neighbors leaves that blow in my yard.  1st hour everything OK THEN wind picked up, oops dry leaves were a problem, had to hustle get everything bagged.  Did I mention the shower, yup got a mini burst near end.  So finally picked up all the remaining wet  leaves….

Good morning everyone! It's going to be a nice day today and I'm going down to North GA here in a bit to play another round of golf with my buddy. 

Right now I'm drinking coffee and giving the dogs some much needed love after them not getting any while their pet humans were asleep.

I feel for you, my wife has bad allergies and I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with them. 

That ain't quite like coffee, I think it might have the opposite effect.

gm, having coffee and watching pair of bluebirds build a nest in the house I put up last fall.  They sure are hard workers.

It doesn't make sense to me, I've resided in the south my entire life and for the first three decades absolutely no problems. Now I hit 30 and my sinuses want to kill me. 

The initial benadryl affect has the nice same comfort as the first sip of coffee, it just goes all downhill from there

Allergies are terrible to have.  I can’t take anything with Benadryl in it or I’m out for the count, use Flonase everyday.

Mine are brutal in the spring, of course right when golf is kicking in. I have to bring handkerchiefs to blow my nose, I will never give in!

Oddly my allergies were more severe when lived in CT than FL.  Must be old age.

Mine are bad as well. I just saw on the news channel weather report that allergies are 9 out of 10 scale - so don't feel alone. 

On my 3rd cup of coffee - our puppy had me up at 3:00 this morning so I need an extras jolt of caffeine. Getting ready to head out with my wife for a couples scramble event. I've got to finish this cup of coffee first. Should be back in time to watch the guys finish at the API.

When I was in San Diego and deployed I never got them. It’s Definitly the area. Pine isn’t to bad it’s everything else around here….time to move i guess

Huh, maybe.  I worked in the yard yesterday and allergies were not a problem.  If I was still in CT I’d be a mess for rest of the day.

Good morning on a chilly BUT SUNNY! Sunday morning in WNY.

Lots of things to catch up on in this thread in just the last hour alone! 

First allergy was to 99% of the cats I met, then pectin food sensitivity.  Avoidance solved both.  Army basic soldiering and combat engineer training in Missouri started a whole spectrum of airborne pollen allergies, who knew I would be allergic to tree sex.  First tried Benadryl while working, big mistake, that cartoon balloon head guy - the one where his head is floating way above his body on a string - I was the guy that was drawn about.  Not really.  Had the allergy starting age 20 and it suddenly disappeared age 56, must have reached it's expiration date.

Waffles, great idea.  Now I'm thinking I need more breakfast... the oatmeal with Lyle's Golden Syrup was [past tense] perfect.

Keeping coffee topped up in the mug of SWMBO, and honestly it would not have anything to do with influencing her support for my 2023 golf season.
