Happy Wednesday morning spies. Early rise for the next week as my coworker that starts an hour before the rest of us decided to take his remaining PTO for the next six days. I’ll get to go in an hour early but I’m sure I’ll still end up working late as well. It’s supposed to be in the mid 50s tomorrow and Friday so hopefully I can get out of there at 1:30 at least one of those days.

Hoping to be able to work on my own responsibilities today, rather than covering for some who are part of the "not working from home" gang. 

Hope that your day is the best it possibly can be, and that something golf related may be in your thoughts or plans.

Another day grinding away at work, but on the plus side I will be off to the simulator and get some extra time in with the deWiz as I have been making some changes and now to see how it translate to the results. Also want to test the on course mode as I play a simulated 9 and see how that goes. Should be a good time.

Good morning spies! With the holidays, work, and officiating, I have been being busy the past couple of weeks. It feels good to be back on the forum. I hope you all are doing well and staying healthy. I've got another busy day ahead of me, but the weather is looking pretty nice for the next couple of days, so I think I'm going to try to get out and hit some balls.

Cool 53 degrees in Central Florida this morning. Brrr! No golf, work is getting in the way today. Actually have to go out to visit clients, ahh the old way of doing business, Love it!  Getting ready for 2nd cup of Espresso!

Thx. Seemed straightforward to start but did require a brief tech support call, then an expedition through the small access hatch into the attic crawl space to look at the A/C air handler control panel and then back downstairs to change one wire on the back of the thermostat - and omg it's working! (ie. can't believe I figured it all out )

Used the app to setup the initial schedule so time will tell how well, or not, all the smart comfort and convenience features work...

I just remembered. I already have a smart thermostat, my wife. Her official title is Environmental Control Officer.

Good morning friends!  I hope y’all are all doing well on this hump day! Let’s get ready for work! Starting a little sim league with friends tomorrow in my garage. Looking forward to the competitiveness I hope this brings out, as well has the conversations, and good drinks! We should have a good time! We are gonna try to do this 1 to 2 times a week, just hoping we can continue it and life doesn’t get in the way. Anyways my newly found friends on here get away to do some golf things like this as well. I would also say if you’re near or in Huntsville Al, let me know and we can find some fun to get into! I’ve had; I should say my wife has had, a smart thermometer for years.  In my opinion it works great, just set the schedule and it does the rest.  Still have to do occasional manual tweaking between seasons as you get wider temperature variances and have to switch between heat and cool or part of the day is hotter/cooler than normal.   Doesn’t loose the schedule during power outages.  think you will like it.

Morning MGS!  44⁰ out, high of 55 predicted.  Really displeased with having to turn on the heat this morning!!!

Dunkin' run completed for coffee, as the 10 year old old Keurig decided it wanted to piss water out the bottom when I hit brew. Ugh!  Another day off with no golf for me.  

Honey-do list is strong, have an eye exam appointment,  plus have 6 foster cats to drop off for transport this morning too. New batch coming in Friday probably. 

Hopefully some of you get to hit the courses today!

Cool, thx, the old one was programmable so did have a schedule but it didn't seem to sense or manage the indoor temperature too well. And then we'll how this things works out next Spring. Plus I don't have to change any batteries on the new one.

 

Anyway off to another chiro treatment; then thinking I may go do some outdoor putting practice. Still trying not to hit balls to rest the back (getting better) and the wrist (still bothering me).

Good morning Spies,

31 degrees and light snow. 2 cups down. A rough night for our old pup. Another seizure. He is at the vet now. When he comes out of the seizure he is so disoriented and uncoordinated. After a night’s sleep, he is his good ole happy self. Right by our side as we eat breakfast ready to share whatever we are having. Hopefully there is something we can do to lessen the seizures. He is already on meds for them but the frequency has increased. If you have pets give them extra pets and treats today.

Welcome my friends to a wishful Wednesday.. Wishing the weekend was here. 
  First off, I am a little more brain dysfunctional than normal this morning. The bride’s TED talk about my short comings in tree decoration lasted way too long. Feels like we decorated a forest instead on one tree. 
    Results from yesterday’s play were varied and cause for some intense pondering. The yardage of my home track is within a hundred to two hundred yards of that of the courses played in Florida, but… “Oh my,”what  a difference in outcomes. While I didn’t play overly well I was on more GI in 18 holes yesterday than in 72 holes during the “ Sunshine State “ tour. My expert conclusion is that while familiarity may breed contempt, it can also  aid in confidence 
   The Edison “Enforcer” wedges, did just that, enforced the fact of life that equipment can aid a limited skill set just so far…. Especially on the full force shots. 
To be fair all of the full wedge shots were hit from ( for my course ) exceedingly wet conditions. The 1/2 to 3/4 swing shots had better results. Either I had  beginners luck or the Edison’s are the missing link to my green side bunker play. Only had two bunker shots and neither resulted in an embarrassing outcome. Going to skip play today; instead the plan is go to the  practice area with the wedges then go eat lunch and then  go back to the practice area and see if I retained anything I learn from this mornings session… Want/need  to work on more distance refinement along with observing altitude.

Good morning, Spies!

Year-end is nuts, with travel and work projects, etc.  I wish I had more time to be on the forum!

But I did want to swing by and wish you all well, and say I miss this place!  Once stuff slows down for the actual holidays my annoying multi-post days will resume.

Now, who wants to help me collect some bills before year-end?  Anyone have some long metal sticks around they could use to help convince some deadbeats to pay?  LOL.

At the end of next week we are heading off on a big 16 day vacation. We are flying to Amsterdam. Then heading to Copenhagen. From there off to do a cruise around Norway.

This morning there was a little snow in the air, but tomorrow and Friday are supposed to warm up. I'm trying to clear my schedule to get a couple rounds in outdoors!

Good morning all!

Busy week at work. Relying heavily on this coffee to spur me onwards.

Planning on going to the PGA Superstore at some point this week to try hitting some 7 woods. I'm hoping it can be a nice addition to the bag in 2024 to gap my 4 iron and 2 iron.

Already sick of the cold weather in Chicago. Someday I'll hit the lottery and become a snow bird...

Good morning MGSpies from it's no longer morning in Cary NC, but on the good news side of life my brother is improving in leaps and bounds enough to be able to do all things except reading fluency so continued work with words using games and reading is his road to complete recovery, blessings indeed and thanks for all well wishes and prayers from everyone. Thinking about possibly fitting in golf before pointing the vehicle north once he's finally released to go home and that's still a work in progress.  Thankful for the time we have been sharing and nonstop flow of conversation that's no doubt fueled the progress we've seen so far.
