Out of sorts all day, some excellent shots only 2 or 3 complete holes. I think I was rusty.

Some might say driving 3.5 hours each way for a day of golf is ludicrous. I say those people have no place in my life, lol. Wild Horse is truly a special place. Windy conditions made a few of the holes extremely hard today. Hit a 5 iron from 170 on 13 and from 225 on 14. Struggled again to get up and down or it might have one of those rounds to remember. Will get another bite at the apple when I go back in August.

Best round so far this season. 3 birdies helped offset a triple and a few doubles. While I feel like my approach shots are improving my driving let me down a few times. Putting not bad although I did have some 3 putts.

That's awesome! It's a great course not too far from where I live and in fantastic condition year round. Definitely one of my go-to courses during the offseason here in the PNW.

Got an unexpected round in since the rain held off. Not my best day at all, hit the ball extremely well but got frustrated with long wait times. Seems like the course was overbooked and we caught up to it just a few holes in.

Our greens were just top dressed - so they were fairly unpredictable. But overall not too bad of a day. A couple of memorable holes - a natural birdie on a par 5, my chip landed about 6 inches from the hole - so pretty close to an eagle = my partner picked up the ball before I could take a pic.  Then a chip in for a par on a hole where I duffed the drive. The chip hit the stick about a foot above the hole and just dropped in.

Who needs GIR?? 2 GIR, 11(!!) 1-putts, some insane up-and-downs, a few genuinely great drives, and other than one double, I never felt out of reach of par. 

Some good things starting to click. 

Fun fact: installed a new shaft after a year experimenting with the OttoPhlex, and although I only hit two fairways, I missed 6(!) others by literally two yards or less (all to the right). I'll be putting a midsize grip on this week to see if that makes any difference - doubtful, but I've gotten very used to a midsize grip, Soo mostly just curious. 

Fun tidbit: hit a 7-iron 202 yards today. Sure, it was a flyer that rolled forever, but...lol...I felt VERY strong.

Never played here and it is a beast. So beautiful, nestled in the Shuswap. Playing a guys weekend with 8 of us, played killer all day but the greens are nasty. Couldn't have had a better time!

Hard day! Don’t play golf after lifting and swimming. Front nine my legs were dead. Shot 42 and struggled off the tee. Then we made the turn. Legs came back and shot one under! Saved the day!
