... As long as the tee marks are in the middle/bottom of the face they serve as a badge of honor. Of course if they are all the way on the toe ...

... LOL, not you but I have seen more than a few with tee marks on the toe of the side of the club, not even the face. You know that guy, lining up 25* left of the fairway and ending up 25* to the right of the fairway.

@Tom the Golf Nut, I love the look of the newer Titleist drivers. That face looks like something out of the space age. Hit it well!

As promised. It came with a reg shaft that won't suit me, but thankfully I have my Epic Shaft which will do the trick... I hope. Either way can't wait to get to the range and see how this performs!

 He picked up a set of irons Tuesday  that are nto supposed to be on sale until Friday.  But he's a good customer of this place. 

So he's listing them for sale on the same day they are released to the public. 

So they lasted a total of two days, 1 range session and 1 round.  

Now that's a whole new level of ho'dum! 

Reminds me of a guy I know from the old GEA days.  He had bought a set of irons, they were en route to his house.  He sold them before they ever arrived, just slapped a new label on the box and took it back to UPS.

Best part, not an isolated incident.  He was the Ho of Ho's in those days...

I love that guy! Its additional entertainment for the round! 20 yard opening for the first 100 off the tee, and hes still gonna try driver too! Love it!

Just bought a couple of small items (golf related).  Forgot to take a glove on my golf trip to Houston (Lochinvar Golf Club), so I bought one at their club house.  Also bought a nice metal Lochinvar logo ball mark, as well as a pair of Peter Millar shorts while I was there.

Im going to play around and see what works. 

I had the 9 playing 10, so I'll try this 10.5 playing 9.5 and go from there. 

There are so few options being lh and used that i couldn't really be picky so try it and at the very first resell it.

I feel like Roberto De Vicenzo after the 68 Masters.  I bought a Callaway Epic Speed after doing a web search for a RH 10.5° Senior Flex driver.  When I clicked on the link it went to the Callaway PreOwned page for the Left Hand Epic Speed drivers and I did not notice it.  When you add the item to your cart the picture of the club is a right handed driver so I now have to get in touch with CPO and arrange to return the driver and purchase one that I can actually play with.  Never had anything like this happen before, so be careful when you order folks.

Decided to go ahead and order a dozen of TP5X to throw into my testing for 2022 ball. Pro V1X, Z Star XV, and BX are the other contestants with BX having the early lead.

I’ve got many a club (Ping G25 irons, Odyssey Metal X Matrix putter, TaylorMade RBZ driver, M1 3 wood…) through my old company’s rewards program. The only thing I’m actively using though is my Clic Gear push cart. That’s the thing about clubs we always change them.

I've never really had a thing for matte finish but I got a demo sleeve of Wilson Staff "raw" a month ago and really liked the look. Not sure these will perform as well as those but they really remind me of the finish and I'm already sold on the Maxfli Tour X so hopefully these will be just as good. 

 

Update on my balls...

If anyone cared to know..

Played the entire round with the ball on the left. Feel and performance is top shelf! Love the look of the matte white. Any grass or dirt stains wipe off easily and don't leave any discoloration. 

The biggest scuff mark was from hitting a full chip out of an AZ waste area. As you can see, the used ball on the left nearly looks like the new one on the right. 

So far I'm super stoked about these!

Played in a scramble on Wednesday and was using up the leftover BX that I had. I quickly remembered why I went back to the V1x personally, I just can't get enough spin on the BX around the greens. If you end up sticking with the BX lmk, I got probably 2doz left that I'll sell you on the low, or trade you for V1x if you got a supply!

... Right there with you and love these Maxfli tour balls. Fwiw I played with some college kids last year and they gave me a great idea. They were playing forged CB's and when their ball went into the rocky desert:

If they had a clean lie and a shot at the green with no big rocks around the ball or obstructions on their shot path they moved to the closest grass with no penalty.

If they didn't have a clean lie or were on some big rocks or had any obstacle blocking their shot path they moved to the closest grass with a 1 stroke penalty. 

... My very first shot from the desert put a big gouge in the sole of my 7 iron so I really appreciated this iron friendly local rule.

That's a pretty cool rule. Not sure I've heard it before but it definitely should be applied at all AZ courses. 

Luckily in this case it wasn't a usual AZ desert lie but more like cracked clay that was soft enough to put a good compression swing on the ball without knocking my fillings out. 

@chisag you ever play Southern Dunes in Maricopa? That's where I played today with my pops. Miraculously was able to avoid 99% of the sand. This place has bunkers like Ocotillo has water. Pretty crazy layout.

... Awesome! One of my favorite Phoenix courses and I always play really well there with the exception of one day when the winds were 25mph plus and the sand was a nightmare both trying to avoid it and worse being in it. Several courses here I just seem to always play poorly so Ak Chin is nice to have in my memory bank.
