Unfortunate for Georgia, the BIG 10 refs jacked you out of a game. Tough loss, but a 2nd year coach that is dang near a Saban clone and you're already playing for the marbles? Good grief, the rest of college football will be chasing these two teams for years to come.

What a game! I'd never heard of Tua, everyone has now.

 

One of the top prospects in the country, had a lot of starting QB offers but chose to go to Bama even though he knew he would be a backup. Worked out well for him. I might have to put some money on the local am who qualified for the Sony this year #gohawaii

I believe this game brought on more questions than it answered.  At least in my hyper-analytical mind.

• Do Eason and Hurts stay in what is likely to be back-up roles or transfer?  Both QB's, at least the ones that contributed and finished the game, are true freshmen.
• Should conference divisions remain?  If so, why?  They are irrelevant given Alabama just finished 3rd in the SEC but won a National Championship. 
• Should conference championship games remain? See previous response!
• Should the playoff be extended to at least 6 teams?  

In my opinion, conference divisions and conference championship games should be eliminated and each conference required to play 9 conference games, 3 out-of-conference games and another "preseason" game on a national stage..  Extend the playoff to 8 teams and eliminate doubt and speculation.  This system is better than the crap we had when I was a kid where the best teams rarely played one another in bowl games.  But because it's better than it was doesn't mean it can't still be better!

I am not a Bama fan but Hurts does not seem like the normal QB that plays for Saban. Saban normally likes QBs that can throw better than run. Hurts seems like a running back that got pushed to QB because he could throw.

Played 9 this morning and as luck would have it there was an Bama fan in the 4some. Insufferable 2 freakin hours and breakfast to boot. After the morning everyone (7 guys) hated Bama. Boy what a pantload

Great game and lived up to most of the hype. I may be a Dawgs fan for a while

You're probably right but we'll never know. I thought Auburn was going to kick UCF butt. It's the system, not perfect but hope they will keep tweaking it to make it better.

In the end the game was a hard fought one, and didn't disappoint. Other than the outcome . As long as there are humans and opinions the arguments will live on.

Not sure about that, Auburn is the team that gave Georgia 1 loss, and Alabama 1 loss. If my memory serves, UCF beat Auburn, so to say they wouldn't have a chance isn't really a fair assumption.

I've never liked using transitive properties for athletics.  Mercer lost to Alabama, who lost to Auburn, who lost to Georgia, who lost to Auburn, who lost to Clemson, who lost to Alabama, who lost to Auburn, who beat Mercer, who lost to ETSU, who lost to Samford, who lost to UCF.  So, by way of transitive property, UCF belongs in the playoff?!?!?  It's never ending and could go round and round and round forever. 

 

Auburn was a schizophrenic team all season.  Probably the most inconsistent quality team in several years including the Clemson teams who made "Clemsoning" a verb.  UCF didn't play anyone with a pulse until they played a disinterested, inconsistent Auburn in the Peach Bowl.  They would have gotten slaughtered by any of the 4 playoff teams! 

 

It's all speculation until the playoff is expanded so these disagreements are settled where they should be.....on the field.

Man all I can say is a DAMN well played game by Georgia. They played a hell of game. Fromm is and will be special. Mark my words.

 

I realize I'm the only Bama fan in this forum. Which is fine.

Tua is an absolute animal. I'm more proud of him than yall will know. A lot of my fellow Bama fans have given me so much crap for pushing for him to play more all year.

This may be the proudest I've been of any Bama team that I can remember. People don't understand the amount of injuries they've overcome this year. This was special. They overcame so much. Roll Tide!

I do find it odd that you are the only Bama fan here, or at least the only active one.  I certainly don't hate on them for any reason,  matter of fact I rather like watching their games when they show lots of shots of the student section       Any team (other than Uconn...sorry Rickp) that can win that consistently deserves credit and admiration.

Tell your friend, it may not be normal, but he is certainly not the only one to every experience that not so wonderful feeling!
