That's a sad picture HITH if you know what I mean. At least you didn't leave a banana in there. LOL

Achievements? Hmmm? I can't say exactly. I suppose consistency might be it. I played most of the year (until recently) very well I thought. My handicap hung around 3-5 mostly. I had visions mid to late summer of actually breaking par for first time. Didn't happen. Will the game still love me when I'm 64? I'll find out this next year.

I'll qualify my reply as end of season achievement here in MT since my Yuma winter golf is just a few weeks away:

Played two new courses, Old Works and Madison Meadows.

Shot a 76, third best round of my life.

Finally upgraded from my GBB to a Razr-Fit driver.

Found a cool golf forum called MGS 👍

Those are some good achievements Har. Breaking 90 and especially that 41 are some scores to be proud of. My biggest accomplishment so far this year on the course was breaking 100, twice. I'm not complaining about the new clubs, those were a bonus.

Good luck to you on whatever goals you set for next year.

Broke 80 for the 2nd time ever (1st time was in 2016)

Matched or beat personal best at 6 courses

Established an official USGA handicap (10.6)

Bonus: Played a new course and scraped together an 83 without ever even seeing it.

After a back fusion I got some new clubs this year and had a few rounds in the 60's which was awesome. I can't always finish 18 because of my back BUT the last few years I only played a handful of times and this year I played a lot more so a really good year - even took a golf trip to Scottsdale - been a great year!

Started the year with big hopes- planned series of TPI lessons, new clubs, new putter and get fitter- hoped to get h/cap back down to 4 or even 3 this year.

The Golf Gods heard me and said "you think so"

h/cap has gone UP- head was full of every new swing thought and change, tweaked my swing on every shot- result......misery.

Back to basics for now on and next year. Fundamentals first, grip posture alignment then focus on where the shots going not how to do it.

Love this game.

The Golf season in Hawaii has neither a beginning nor ending. It’s like the everlasting gobstopper. Still if I look back over the last 8 months my greatest subjective accomplishment was simply getting to spend 4 hours a round with some pretty incredible folks. It’s amazing to me how open and honest complete strangers can be walking down a fairway with a bag on their back. There is no judgement, prejudice nor hatred; only a common bound forged through a shared journey.

On the objective side I’ve taken my handicap down from 9 to 1, shot my all time low round of 65 and got my first hole in one. I also tested the i210 irons which was both a joy and incredible challenge.

Looking back, I had some high hopes this year, but it just didn't pan out.  The one bright spot, I got to go to Pinehurst on a buddy's trip!

I can only say that I was the most "in to" my game I've ever been. I made the most progress on my swing and recorded 3 sub 40 rounds(I only play 9 on a par 36) this season. The last few rounds I was hitting the best shots I've ever hit. I consistently scored around 41.5 on average this year. Great year and I plan on playing as much through winter as possible, cold doesn't bother me, if no snow I'm playing. Gonna keep this train a moving.

Haha - no but I can relate a little. What he's doing is a level above amazing. I'm playing muni's from the white tees - he's contending and winning at the highest level - truly mind blowing since I have some appreciation for the physical part.

Had a few this year that worked out and others that didn’t. I’ve tried to set multiple goals at both ends of “simple enough” and “yeah... good luck with that”. Helps to make harder long term targets more manageable for me. Knowing our Texas weather we might not have an off-season or it could get jipped out of a golf season entirely next year, we’ll see.

Great topic.. Where do I begin...Lets see I did not really "Set" any goals, but standard goal has been to break 80 which i shot 3 years ago..

I was selected to take part in this years Cobra Connect challenge. One of the things was to establish a baseline set of stats to monitor my progress throughout the season.. During my baseline rounds I broke 80, shooting a 79. Check.. turn around and shoot a 78 on the week we needed to post our best round of the challenge.. check again.. I also posted that week 12/12 fairways in regulation. the same week, as well as 13/18 GIR's.. I played down to a 12.4 hdcp from my starting baseline of 19. I had long drive of 303, and driving avg of 244 . I hit a 3wd off the deck 267.. My last 10 rounds were 86 or less including 78, and an 80.. So i would say i had a great summer... it is now the time of year where rain, wind, and generally crappy weather stick around until march.. I will get in my final round (probably) of the year this weekend after not playing for almost a month ( due to life and bad weather.) so yeah i had a great  summer...

Time to do some hunting and enjoying the fireplace with mama...
