I will playing a 1970’s bag of Wilson Staff irons, Powerbilt Citation woods and trusty Bullseye putter. It will be a lot of fun.

I love the choice of clubs!!  I listed the Powerbuilt Citation as a favorite in the recent favorite driver thread.  And Staff Dynapowers are rhe irons in my vintage bag along with a bullseye wide flange or ping original anser depending on my mood.

Beautiful cool morning out here in New England! Cold weather is rolling in. Hope all of you in the storm areas are safe and family and friends are safe. Stay safe and love each other. 
Was able to get out on the driving range the other night and kinda just taking steps through the swing and something was hitting pretty good. Definitely going to need some more experimenting but we will try that out soon. Luckily son slept through most of the range balls while my wife went to get her nails, overall a good time. Went and did all the family things like apple picking, family photo session, etc. These past few weeks have been VERY busy but hoping it starts to slow down and I can get out on the course more before snow starts to fall.

Good morning, Spies!!! Happy Pre-Friday!!!

Although today is my Friday (I'm taking tomorrow off for a PXG fitting and because I want to), it's Pre-Friday for everyone else.

I hope everyone in Florida is doing ok this morning. Milton was supposed to make landfall last night as a Cat3.

Tonight starts the whirlwind again of soccer tonight, football tomorrow, and football and soccer Saturday. Then I drive home Sunday morning. I'll be sure to enjoy seeing the boys play, especially as Ian wraps up his senior season as starting keeper with varsity soccer this Saturday evening at senior night.

Well, I actually have work to do today with me being out tomorrow. Everyone have a fantastic Pre-Friday!

Good Morning tho well just "mornin" to all the Central Coast Floridians. A monster hurricane is bad enough but the number and size of tornadoes was truly scary.... Very sad to see....

On the forum side this week's Community Call sounds pretty interesting, but have to miss it again. Meeting up with a few former windsurf buddies for an early dinner at that same time. 

Thinking about some golf today. Wanna try out my SC4 and also a friend may be playing later so may try to join him for 9.

Good morning everyone!

Continued thoughts and hopes that everyone is safe in Florida. Seems to be quite a bit of damage, and that number of tornadoes crazy and always an interesting phenomena given that hurricanes and tornadoes need the exact opposite upper air conditions to form.

Normal day here, with a brisk morning and not much besides work on the agenda. Kids enjoyed a symphony accompanied viewing and talk with one of the people who helped make the Our Planet show on Netflix. They said it was really interesting and they all learned quite a bit which was wonderful to see.

Uppa with a cuppa. First and foremost, my thoughts and prayers are for those affected by Hurricane Milton. Stay safe. I was shocked to read about all of the tornadoes as a result of the storm.

Nine holes are on tap for this morning. FedEx as usual lied about the delivery of my new wedge. An hour after yesterday’s delivery window closed, they emailed indicating delivery today. After golf I will clean out the pool and install the new pool cover.

Good morning Spies on Community Call Thursday.

Had to take SWMBO to her PT at 7:00AM, so later start for me here today. She also has a doctor appointment this afternoon, so I am unsure if I will be back for all of the call.

Glad to see some Florida Spies online, and prayers for all Floridians to get through the last couple hurricanes as best as they can.

As @William P mentioned about @Dead Solid Bogey, seems that @Kenny B has not been active lately, and hope that all is well with him and Martha?

Hope that all here have the best day they possibly can, and that something enjoyable is in your plans.

Good throwback Thursday morning to ya! 

Found these gems so I thought they’d be good throwbacks today! Played golf yesterday with @Puente37 

He’s been helping me with my next article that will be posted soon. He’s been a real fun person to work with on the playing research we’ve been doing for it. It’s shown us both how to reevaluate our approach to the game. So far we’ve got about 8 rounds in on the player research. Not gonna give anything else away, gonna have to read the article when it’s done! Hope you all have a great day!

Ripper looking through the window behind my desk at a customer he definitely does not like.    Lots of people come and sit in my office, but there was something about this guy that drove Rip nuts.  

I know I should clean the window, but Rip and Beth constantly paw at the window to get my attention.  So it stays clean for like a day every time you clean it.

Good morning spies! Sad to see Mother Nature's ire on the east coast again. 

Played the last round of golf for the next 12 days or so as both of the community courses are now shut down for overseeding. I can get out on other courses, but freshly overseeded courses are a mix of mud, soggy ground, and long furry greens. They charge winter prices to play. Not for me. So I will most likely put five hundred or so miles on my ebike. 

Posted up my fitting experience at the Scottsdale Club Champions. All said and done the QI10 Max is a beast when it comes to ball flight but takes no more effort than swinging an alignment stick to get the ball moving.  Well, maybe not. It has to be approved because I edited it. Odd.

Good morning everyone,

Looking forward to the community call this evening! Today is my wife's first day back to work and navigating childcare since our daycare flooded has been a challenge. We managed to get a babysitter to come from 9 to 12p so will put her down for a nap around 12p which will give my wife 2.5-3 hours of more work before she wakes up. The course is back open today, so some friends are going after work, but I have a feeling my wife will want to get another hour or so in of work once I am home so would be hard pressed to make it. However, we are planning on going out as a family after her nap on Saturday with a buddy and his girlfriend so really looking forward to that! 

My in-laws have a house in our hometown that we have adored. It isn't any larger bedroom wise (3 bedroom, 2.5 bath) than we have now, but has so much more living space. Kitchen is twice as big, primary bedroom is twice as large with a walk-in closet that rivals one of our spare bedrooms, a shower that is as big as one of our guest bathrooms, full formal dining room, bar attached to living room, full basement, half unfinished for storage, half finished with pool table, game room, and home gym space, outdoor patio with natural gas fireplace, etc. To top it off, it has a detached 3 car garage. Hello permanent sim!  They have a house in NMB that was completed in March that will essentially be their retirement home, and were looking at building a small 1200 sq. ft. house as a home base in the area and sell theirs. However, with the hurricane, new builds will be put on hold for quite some time as everyone is trying to repair the damage. Last night, he had the idea about after the new year, potentially moving out of this house, and move everything up to the mountain house for the time being so we could sell our home, buy theirs, and be in sometime in the next 6 months. 

With that in mind, I am looking to buy my own LM now and just let my brother-in-law use the Full Swing Kit full time that we have been passing back and forth. I am intrigued by the Uneekor Eye Mini Lite at its price point, since it will be strictly indoors and can putt with it, and already have a mat and can buy or build an enclosure/screen and a mid level 4k projector with cart or floor enclosure. I already have a gaming laptop, just have to get Wi-Fi installed or a very long Ethernet cable ran from the house and bury it. Overhead would be nice, but need the ability to shift everything around if need be if another vehicle gets added to the garage.

Good Thursday Morning Spies! 
What a Central Florida Morning! Sustained winds about 65 mph, then the eye passed over about 5am and got calm, then winds hit after passing over. Not much rain with hurricane passing through. The outer bands dumped over 10 inches on us yesterday afternoon. Internet is back. We made it through, a lot of debris in the yard, tree limbs down but no real damage to speak of. 
Finishing up first cup of espresso! 

Not sure I’ll make the Community Call today. Also 43rd Wedding Anniversary today. Not sure if we will celebrate today.

I've looked at the Mini Lite as well (and actually recently entered a contest giving one away, not that I expect to win). As with many monitors, though, to get the full benefit you have to pay a subscription fee on top of the purchase price, especially if you want to use it as a simulator. The max software package is $400 a year with 20 courses, intermediate is $200 a year with 5 courses. You may be okay with that, or you may not. You get three free months of the max package with your purchase, but after that

That is a good point! Since Uneekor allows for third-party software usage, I would probably go with GS Pro at $250 a year! Or TGC 2019 for the ~$950 lifetime subscription.

Anyone interested in this kind of thing: A huge burst of radiation from the sun, known as a solar flare, reached Earth late this morning Eastern time, and may have caused some problems such as a glitch in Microsoft Outlook. As a result, the northern lights may be visible as far south as Alabama tonight; apparently 8 pm-2am ET will be the likely time. NOAA isn't guaranteeing anything, but it will help to see it if you get away from city lights and use the night mode on your cellphone camera which gathers more light. The Casa is obviously farther north than most of Alabama, so I'll go out and give it a look tonight.

First off welcome to this corner of the world. Good Folks here and we talk about a variety of things here and most any subject is welcome as long as it does not violate the forum rules.

Yes those Busas (as we call them here) are not only fast but nimble. Actually one of my buds who is a motorcycle officer on the County Police has a personal Busa. He can flat ride anything on 2 wheels. Saw him take that Busa through an obstacle course on an exhibition in record time. He used to Motorcross and oval track race. For me those things even in my uninjured 40s were too quick and fast for me.

I am set up for my Sunday vintage play. I have a Mac Keyhole Driver and 4 wood, the trusty Power Bilt 7 wood. I also threw in my beloved Penna Jupiter Slugger. The Slugger is a later one and has a factory graphite shaft in it. I plan on playing my 55 Hogan Precision Irons which lately I have became very fond of. Since that set did not have an Equalizer I have a K Grind 51* wedge and a K Grind 55* SW. I am leaning towards my flanged Bulls Eye. Had a stellar round about a month ago in the league with that thing putting on slick bent greens. I love the Slugger but for me it is more like cheating (in my mind anyhow) since it has a Graphite shaft. But WTH? it is my round and my rules

I did not post in that thread. My all time GOAT driver was a little blonde Power Bilt. I got it in the early 80s. LOL bought it at another course than the one the old man ran. I was looking at it and it looked and sat right and had perfect grain. I bought it on the spot never hit it and had a Master Clubmaker named Harold Dale put my normal pressed fiber insert in it. Used it until like 96 or so. It had cracked 2 times previously. My friend and also a master club maker Don Grigg in Corneilius NC put it back together twice and told me the last time it cracked would be fatal. It of course cracked and trust me I cried. 3 days later the little Spalding Top Flite (1964 vintage) 4 1/2 wood cracked. That was extremely hard since I had carried that since High school. In all the years since I have not found a metal or persimmon driver that I loved as much as I did the little blonde PB. I did end up with a Penna Custom with a HM-55 graphite I played until about 02 or so. I was the last man standing on the SE Mini Tours playing Persimmon. I still play Persimmon on my Sunday rounds with the vintage stuff I told @Hickory4ever about in the previous post. With me and vintage I can switch around quite a bit since I have so much vintage stuff. Look at my signature It is a mix of vintage irons and in most eyes vintage Metal Woods.

As far as vintage putters I switch around a lot since I have around 100 vintage putters. But the GOAT there is between the flanged Bullseye and a Hickory shafted Calamity Jane Otey Chrisman. I play my Hickory shafted stuff on the Par3 including the Otey on Saturdays with my wife. If I get tired of the league I will go back to playing all vintage.

Dogs are smart and they know who to like and who not to like. I would say be careful with that customer. BTW I guess I am ok because I have never seen a dog who did not like me and I have never seen a Dog I did not like no matter the breed

Good afternoon! I was able to get some golf in over an extended lunch break. I ended up golfing with another pair who were just awesome! They were playing for fun/practice, and we all got along great! Everyone played good rules for pace of play and we finished 9 holes in 1 hr 34 min (according to the golf carts). Now, I'm hoping to hop on the community call!

I haven't kept up on the damage in Florida from H. Milton, but my wife texted me that the roof of Tropicana Field was tore off?!?! Terrible stuff! Prayers to all of those folks down there!

We came through the storm nearly unscathed. We had some sustain winds of 65mph and I believe a gust of 81 at the airport. Nothing unusual  for a tropical event. Now for the unusual. Very heavy hearted to report 30+ fatalies and counting within 20 miles of us. The police still have the bridges closed as they are still doing search and rescue of numerous destroyed houses and condos. We are getting very little information currently and what we are getting isn't good. This was all 250 plus miles from the center of the storm. The center is always rough, but this time the tornados were unimaginably strong. EF-3s and EF-4s NEVER happen in this area. EF-0 and EF-1s are very common with landfall systems and just our normal afternoon thunderstorms. I am a weather nut. I've followed hurricanes since I was in middle school. This was a whole different animal. Sorry to be a downer, but just want everyone to know what is actually happening. Not sure what the news is saying.
