Puttout AirBreak

Anyone tested or have an opinion on this from the good ole Puttout boys?

 

I currently have  a pro advanced Matt that allegedly allows me to adjust it to 4 different stimps, and add slopes by putting styrofoam underneath the Matt lol. I also have platinum pressure trainers at each end of it. 
 

Curious as to if folks think the new output thing is a significant upgrade over what I got

This looks amazing and I am definitely eager to try and see how it works. Have been a big fan of Puttout for a while now and really think they do an excellent job coming up with good and unique new products.

The only thing giving me pause is if the mats have been improved from their standard mat, which is okay.

The base design is super cool though.

this seems really unique and very creative. I would use this a lot in the winter time. I wonder if there's a way to make it longer or wider?

I love this idea, and I have a whole bunch of PuttOut products already (two Pressure Trainers, the Devil Balls, their Plane Alignment tool, and their mirror and gate set). I am in the (unfortunately?) privileged position of not having any place for another putting green. I have a 6x11' green in our basement and a 15' Perfect Putting mat that I keep at my office. I have an ExPutt on the way. I was literally talking about this PuttOut AirBreak with my son this morning, but we couldn't figure out where we'd put it.

One concern that occured to me: I have lots of kids. This would be a lot of fun for them, but I think it's inevitable that while it's inflated, a child would step on the green. I'm wondering whether the inflation mechanism would burst or if there is something engineered that would allow something to release that can be reset.

Watched a promo video for this but not convinced the putting mat itself is good enough to warrant the cost. The concept is great but the short length is big negative for me as well.

My concern is that my dog might be interested in trying to pick up one of those air pod inflators and chew on it. 
I like the concept but I would like a longer and wider version that you could actually stand on.

I could go both ways. I miss far too many short putts, and the most nerve-wracking are the short sliders. Having a way to practice those, at least for me, would be pretty valuable.

I really like the concept and the fact it comes with an automatic ball return is pretty cool. I'll just echo what @Tom the Golf Nut said, I wish it were larger and able to be stood on.

For sure. Working on 5’-8’ putts are a key part of my practice. I also like to work on my swing path on longer putts too. Can’t imagine a 20’ version of this being very practical or cost effective.

Cool concept. And I see they have added a ball barrier at the end of the mat. 

But what I feel is missing is some side barriers starting about from the middle of the mat on both sides. I currently have a 4m WellPutt mat at home and if the occasional ball leaves that carpet and rolls on the wooden floor, that will wake up everyone in the house. With the added break and the height of this thing, I can already hear the bouncing balls making a lot more noise . 

Of course you could call it a feature, since it forces me to never mishit a putt very badly!

Maybe they can make a "connector" product, so you can connect 3 AirBreaks with 2 connectors. Or more. No limits basically, I'm a genius

a real neat concept. Its also unfortunate you cannot stand on it as this could be used to help train your feet for aimpoint along with the mat. I think for a rev0 this is cool and curious if other companies come out with something similar. I wish it was 12' so you could work on 10' and in. Still should help a lot of golfers. I agree, the first platform should be so that you could stand on it (unless you make that one tilted already).

wow! that is more but exactly what I was thinking. Also a bonus, if you get pissed missing too many putts you can just kick it really hard to let your anger out and it will add break for you.

I found a website that gives you the directions to build your own putting practice area like Lou’s. Looking at building a 8x16 area for the basement and add features that allow you add slope to it as well. It’s a heavy build with all the material though so not portable.

If I got this I’m guessing it wouldn’t make sense for me to have my pressure trainers?

I think they teach two different skills.  The trainers are more for aim, start line, and face control.     The airbreak is to help with reading break.

Good idea.  Looked a bit clunky at the joins in each section when looking from the side.  Could just be me being picky though.  I'm sure it would help practice on breaking puts.  Big problem for me would be shipping to Australia would be a small fortune
