Was very lucky today.  The missus bought me a new driver.  The Cobra King LTDx with the Smoke iM10 shaft.  Sounds amazing when striking the ball and the distance is *chefs kiss* Bellissima!! (that's Ralph the cat in the background)

This week I finally opened up my Ghost Golf Bag (I held out for nearly a month!)

Since my putting has been bad recently, I bought a WellPutt mat to practice on daily. I found a box of Chrome Tour "Lone Wolf" balls on eBay that I couldn't pass up. I have always identified with the Wolf, not sure I am ever going to put these in play. Maybe a sleeve. Maybe.

And finally the Accra shaft I ordered has been fitted with a Star Grip and is ready for play this week!

I was saving it to take out for my birthday round, and I even forgot it on that day and then I had a bad round last week and finally decided to bust it out to feel better about the day. I freaking love it though!

I bought a Sunday Golf "Sunday" bag. I have 3 "active" golf bags now that I change based on where I'm playing, using a cart or walking. If walking, how many holes and terrain. Most Florida courses are flat by Northern standards; however, green to tee distances are,  generally, much longer.

I'm trying to use just one bag all the time  As my ex-wife would say "We'll see"

The headcover my 3 year old picked out for me from Daphene headcovers came in and it's a hit! I think the shark from my 5 year old and the gorilla will be best of friends!

Was able to snag a $200 callaway gift card from my work rewards program. So I custom ordered a new 54 deg wedge with the same shaft that I have in my irons. I’m hoping that going from 56 to 54 with a stiffer shaft will fill a little bit of a distance gap that I’ve developed. Either way it was free so it’s nice to be able to experiment a little.

Well, I think I got something interesting for this forum!

Recently picked up a Ben Hogan Powerthrust Iron set (2-3-5-6-7-8-9-E) from a guy for 60$ CAD 

They are in a pretty good shape for their age (I'll get a picture later) and surprisingly to myself, I hit way better with those than my original Top-Flite Inertia Irons which are cavity back! It's supposed to be the opposite since the Ben Hogans are full blades... oh well! My gain! I will say though... when you don't hit it dead center, they are physically punishing. The shock from hitting the ball off-center is felt through the arm and it is painful. 

Overall, I am very happy about this purchase and plan on playing those irons for a long time until I decide to splurge on a new iron set.

I was getting tired of my prescription Ray Bans falling down my face while putting so I decided to get some prescription athletic style sunglasses. I went with the Rudy Project Rydons. This is my first pair of Rudy Project glasses and I am very impressed with the quality of build. At the optometrist I tried Oakleys as well and comparing the build quality was night and day. I’m so impressed by the Rudy Project glasses that when I have to replace my casual sun glassses (Ray Ban Wayfarer) they may be replaced with the Rudy Project equivalent.

Got outbid again on eBay on a L.A.B. DF 2.1, but lo and behold a seller popped into my inbox with a $15 price cut on a 2.1 I was already watching, so I pulled the trigger. It's a tiny bit beat up, but so is my current putter. And I wound up paying less for this than if I'd won the auction.

I'm looking for some golf-specific prescription sunglasses but my visit to the optometrist has been postponed several times, so I'm going to wait until I see her and get the proper prescription. I have a bunch of FSA money designated for vision/dental that has been sitting there, so I may splurge on a couple of pairs.

Nice! That is what motivated me for this as well. Being able to make the purchase with pre-tax HSA funds made the high cost of these more palatable. Hope you are able to get your appointment soon so you can rock some proper eye wear during your summer rounds!

Already have the appointment in mid-July (yes, she's busy). Unfortunately that's after my trip to Scotland, but them's the breaks. I just emailed them to put me on the list if she has any cancellations before then.

Really wasn't planning on buying a new putter but after a few rounds this year and leaving putts consistantly short, I went looking for a putter that had a firmer face, no insert, and one that felt and played like my old Ping A Blade putter. Ended up with this new Ping Anser 2 (milled face) which is firmer and jumps off the putter face. Hopefully this will solve my issue of leaving putts short.

Finally, I upgraded the big stick from a TM R540 to a Callaway Epic Max LS with the MMT 60 S shaft. Will take it out to the range this week, expecting massive differences with the 15-20 year change in technology.

I recently bent my 7 iron (accidentally stood on it), so I replaced it with a set of Sim2 irons. So far so good!! I think the fact I got fitted and they gave me the stiff shafts has made a massive difference as well.

just re-upped my Wedges... replaced Vokey SM8's with some new SM10's 

50.08* F Grind - just an upgrade, same great feel and control... full swing and deadly from 110 yds and in...

56.10* S Grind - loving it out of the sand, and open-faced around the green from 10-15 yds...

In addition to the free Bridgestone Tour B RX pack I got from the MGS x Bridgestone Survey opportunity (seriously, so awesome that they did that), I picked up a box of the Maxfli Tour balls from DGS. I'm really interested to see how the perform against the Vice Pro Plus I have been using.
