It's called G-Paint. From what I've seen it's available in 2 packages, each with 4 colors. Black, red, white, blue is what I got. Did my putter on July 4th weekend.20230630_185729.jpg.0bdbd238d484ac9be4acabe9e9efdd75.jpg

You can also use Testors model paint or paint pens/marker. This is what I have used for all of my paint fill projects.

Went to the annual tent sale at Windmill Lakes in Ohio and bought a demo set of Mizuno JPX923 Forged irons yesterday! What’s amazing is the term “demo” is used loosely here, because the 7 iron looks like it was the only club in the set to ever be hit before I picked them up (and even that club only had a few ball strike marks on it).

I’ve been playing with the same Callaway X16s I got when I started my high school golf career 20 years ago. They served me well, and they continued to do so this season, but it’s time to build a new bag!! Took the Mizunos to the range this morning and got them just as well as I did my Callaways, and added 10-15 yards per club to boot!

Super stoked to get them out on the course next week!!

Finally, after playing different bargain bin drivers for years, I went and got fitted. Decided on the G425 LST with an Extra Stiff shaft. Felt great swinging and saw a pretty nice jump in distance overall, my swing still needs work but I finally have a club that fits and feels great.

There are certain truths in life that are best faced head on. With that in mind…

My name is Ben and I am a club ho. My last purchase was today. I am not in recovery because rehab is for quitters.

As most of you now may know, I was selected to test the Titleist T Series irons. An unbelievable opportunity, that in turn created a dilemma of the best kind. You see about a week prior to finding out I was chosen, I traded a set of Mizuno Pro 221’s in for a used set of Titleist T100s’s. After grabbing baseline comparison numbers at the range this week, I was faced with the prospect of having a perfectly usable set of irons that are going to collect dust during and most likely after I test the new T Series.

With that in mind, I went back to the golf shop I got them at and determined they were still within the 30 day playability window. So I traded them in for the following:

Clearly I have a problem. But I’ll remind you all of the Club Ho’s mantra:

I ain’t wrong

I ain’t sorry

and it’s prolly gonna happen again

I heard there is an intervention group forming for you 😱

My Apex UW's came in from Callaway CPO and they were not "like new" as listed. They were brand new with the plastic still on them.

That’s always a pleasant surprise from CPO. I’ve also ordered several clubs from them in the past and they are always better than listed.

Well, I finally pulled the trigger so to speak. Alphard sent me $100 off code so like a dummy I copied and pasted it just to see what the final price would be. Little did I know, that means I bought it!! I did not press "Buy Me" "Place Order" etc. Ibought it.

So I was surprised when it showed up on my porch a couple days later.

But I have to admit I am liking it a lot! I got the moveable wheels for my Clicgear 3.5 also.

Have only used it once, but this coming week should get a lot of useage.

Stay tuned.

I Play in SW WA and in the PDX area

I like to walk, I have a Clicgear with all the accoutrements and I am considering getting a V2.

Hey didn't check where you're located but if you're at all interested in trying out an 0211 iron with an MMT 60/A in it, PM me and we'll try to work something out with shipping.

Fyi my first set of 0211s (these are the second) had MMT 70/R in them. For me .. no idea how you play or how hard you hit the ball .. but for me the 60/As are a LOT easier to launch the ball and get a lotta spin, too.

I just took advantage of the double trade in value at Callaway Golf.
Ordered a new Paradym 9* driver and after trade in and military discount it only ended up costing 59.00.

Then I went to Callaway CPO and ordered an Apex UW 19* Like new.
Now the hard part is waiting for them to arrive.

The new TEMU-ordered shoes arrived.  Spikeless, BOA, under $30.  It was a gamble.

They were super comfortable, and I did not slip when wearing them.  Color me impressed.

This is more of a combo of a "What have you built?" and "What have you bought?" post.  My son recently broke his 4 iron's Nippon 130x shaft off at the hosel (looked like it had been overheated when inserted.  I cut it off and filed down the tip to smoth it out.  When I was done, I checked it with my calipers to see what its OD was.  It was .369-.370 all the way up to well past where a ferrule would go, and I got to thinking that I might try to make a wedge out of it because it ended up right around that length (I normally and at +1" on full clubs and +3/4 on wedges) so I decided to go ahead and grab one of the clearance 45* heads from Edison Wedges and build it as a possible replacement for the PW in my Mizuno set.  Of all the clubs that SHOULD be easy to dial in, that's the one iron I suck with the most (even after a bunch of trackman time, I haven't been able to dial it in).  The Edison arrived Saturday and I built it early Sunday morning.  The 115-degree temps in my garage had it cured before I left to play some hockey around 10AM, and by the time I hit the course at 1:30 PM or so, it had another 3+ hours curing in the truck.

In short, the 130X should have felt like a 2"x4" and didn't, and the Edison 45* head produced shots that were straighter and higher than my Mizuno PW (also a 45*) with almost identical distance...maybe a little farther even.  This was only a quick test and I didn't have time to get out the Swing Caddie launch monitor we have to test spin or ball speed, but it felt good.  I am strongly considering getting 3 more heads to build out a full set of the wedges in 49 / 53 (and having it bent to 54) / 59 since that would cost less than a single SM9 Vokey.

All I know is as time goes by the reviews for them seem to get better and better. Im considering a hybrid and TEE is in the final few countdown.

I still rec the Exotics exs 220 hybrids. If you want one for a nice deal I have a like new 19 degree w headcover and Recoil stiff shaft. Multiple grip options. Have a 22 and a 25 too, but I have been using utility irons recently an typically bag the 5 exs 220 hybrid 25* . But with the 21 degree apex utility wood, I dont need it as much so its just sitting.

Another callaway preowned impulse buy. They had a Bettanardi bb1  in Avg condition for $89. No picture or anything confirming the model I figured if I didnt like it, reselling it for 120 or so would be easy. Ill let you know what arrives. The description was this years model so Its kinda a mystery

It's called G-Paint. From what I've seen it's available in 2 packages, each with 4 colors. Black, red, white, blue is what I got. Did my putter on July 4th weekend.20230630_185729.jpg.0bdbd238d484ac9be4acabe9e9efdd75.jpg
Love that putter! I have the same one and it's the best combo of blade and mallet ever!
