I'm thinking about adding a specialty PW, mainly because I LOVE the different shots I can hit with my 3 vokey system... but that GI tech in the Stealth PW was MONEY the last few months since dialing it in.

A cutty driver to 250?  Sounds like my standard "big" drive.  haha

Do it! Why not try it, it may give you some options that could lower scoring!

Titleist T200 Irons - 5i thru Gap Wedge - Stiff AMT Black

Fairway Woods:  Callaway Maverick 3W & RazrX Black 5W - Stiff Flex

Rescue:  Apex 4 (22 degree )- Recoil 75H stiff flex

Wedges: Titleist SM8 - 54 (D Grind) wedge flex; SM8 58(M grind) wedge flex

Send me some of that 3.7 index and I'll send you a few more yards off the tee! haha

Did you say Vokey? If they come out with the SM9s in Slate Blue for year 2 this Spring my wallet is going to be hurting.

Lately I've been looking at the websites for Edel and L.A.B. putters....oh, but the price!  But, I keep looking.  It's insane the amount of $$$ for a putter, even when it's your most frequently used club!

I think that I can officially declare my Shot Scope watch as lost.  We've have had so much chaos in my house with the remodel that I thought that it had fallen behind something in the makeshift master bedroom.  Now that we are completely moved back and I've torn apart my bag, I think it's gone.

I also suspect that I will be getting a replacement for Christmas.  Why?  Because the Amazon Prime account is under my name and it told me that one was delivered last week.  🙂

If that's the case it's time to look at a replacement for my hitting net.  Nicole opened the door to my shed and did some damage to the stuff that was stored inside - including my net.  It still works but it's pretty beaten up.

Club wise I'm good right now - that can change though.  I'd still love a crack at one of those new Titleist drivers where I can really try the whole line out and get accurate numbers on the shaft options.

Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  Aldila  R flex   - 42.25 inches

SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft

Ping G410 7, 9 wood  Alta 65 R flex

Srixon ZX5 MK II  5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex

India 52,56 (60 pending)  UST recoil 75's R flex

Evon roll ER 5 32 inches

It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD

I just got a decent net last season,  I would like to upgrade my mat, though.  The one I have works okay, but I'd like to get a full-sized one that I can fully stand on, more like a proper driving range mat.  My backyard practice setup got quite a bit of use last season.

Cobra LTDx LS, Nicklaus AirMax woods, knock-off DCI irons, Adams wedges, Odyssey blade putter

Currently teetering back and forth between the g430 lst and the Srixon ZX5 MKII LS. They are available from Japan already and thinking of taking the plunge on one of them just not sure which. I’m leaning more towards the Srixon as I can’t get the f85 woods out of my bag for anything.
The TSR3 experiment ended already as it is super fast off the center but once you stray a little it droped quick for me. The TSR2 is also a consideration but I hit a $5 6 leg parley on Saturday with CMC’s garbage TD and may use the winning to get something no one around me has!  Petty? Yes but oh well hahaha

I'm playing the Edison 53 and 57 degree wedges, graphite shafts, +1/2 inch, 2up.  I'll preface this with, I am not a good wedge player....it's definitely the weakest part of my game, probably adding a couple of strokes a round every time I play...but....having said that, the Edison wedges play nicely.  They have a good feel to them (forged), and they set up nicely at address with a very good look to them.  The sole is a bit different that what one is used to with traditional wedges, but that's not a hinderance.  They react well on both soft and firmer turf and play very nicely out of the sand.  Tight lies give me the heebie-jeebies and I struggle the same with Edison as I did with a more traditional wedge...but that's more my fear than a comment on the wedge.

I haven't notice that I hit the ball on a lower trajectory or any longer than my previous wedges.  And, I surely don't end up 35 feet closer (or whatever they claim).  I don't place any special magic to them over and above a Vokey, Callaway, or Cleveland wedge...but, they are a truly nice forged wedge with great feel and strikingly good looks.

I bought a 49º a couple of years ago; plays very similar to my SCOR 50º that I had years ago.  The only difference seems to be the shaft.  The SCOR Genius 9 graphite  shaft was much easier to hit than the KBS Tour 90 shaft in the Edison.  The v-sole was very similar on my turf.  I would still be using it except after I stumbled on to the Callaway PM Grind 54º and 60º wedges, I went back to my MacGregor irons and the set PW is 48º, so I don't need a 49º anymore.

I've got visions of gear and clubs dancing through my head as I got a gift card for Christmas....

Could it go towards new Wedges?  Maybe

Could it go towards a 3-wood experiment? possibly

Could it go towards a new hat and some drip?  there's a good chance of that too.

Oh the possibilities!

I love the V-soles and and interested in the weight movement. That said, I am having difficulty deciding on the shaft. If I get a PGI 59gram shaft to match my iron shafts, Fubuki MV 50 g, I dont get the 30 return policy they offer on the PGI 80/90/100 gram shafts because they would special order it.

Kenny, I have the SCOR wedges and the Hogan Tk-15 wedges, all designed by Terry Koehler.  Now trying to get wedges with lighter shafts that match my Titleist T300 irons with Fubuki MV 50 grm shafts. Besides, SWMBO said I could order them for my Christmas/Birthday present.

Just looked over the MGS article on the new Evnroll lineup for 2023 and gotta admit that ER12 with a slant neck has my attention.  I’d have preferred a mini version of the 11xv as I don’t care to through the putter to the ground but that’s just my weirdness. If it works I can overlook it I think lol

I'm in the market for a new driver. Hard to see past the Titleist TSR2, but will get fitted and take what works best. Also been thinking about a putter change, really want to try a blade putter with a dot to see how that lines up but equally interested in the Taylormade putters.

Irons - Titleist 620MB/CB - Nippon Modus 125S

Wedges - Mizuno T22 Raw 51*/08* S Grind, 55*/09* D Grind 59*/09* C Grind - Modus 125 Wedge

The Evnroll lineup looks really nice this year.   I was looking at them over the past week and believe they have really up'd their game this year.   Can't wait for putter testing to start so I can see how they perform.

Can't help but think the weighting on the bottom is awfully reminiscent of the LAB lineup - I know they don't offer a center-shaft, but good LORD that ER5 (my preferred shape) looks hella-good.  Wondering what kind of weighting options those weights give you...but it feels like there could be some interesting combinations.

Such a great-looking series of putters, though.

I don't think it looks like lab putters.  LAB just has an overabundance of weights in their putters;  these seem to be there to simply control head weight.  I also haven't seen any weight kits around HQ so I don't know if there are kits so we can adjust the weight ourselves.

I mean, I'm not saying they're identical or anything, but you don't think these look similar? And again, I know they serve different purposes (ultimately) but...

... Nice but I am going in the opposite direction. Friend of mine was in town for 11 days through the holidays and we played every day but Christmas. Last day I told him I was gonna give him a chance to beat me and replaced every club in my bag but my wedges. You know, trash talkin' guy stuff because he is about 40yds past me off the tee and plays the tips. I was holing everything with my Bobby Grace so I am keeping it in the bag. 🤪 Pretty techy for a heel shafted blade putter with roll technology and weights in the heel/toe (hard to see with the lead tape). Better pics on the website:

Bobby Grace has always had pretty techy putters.  Probably one of the first inserts to even out speed control with his HSM face;  adjustable weighting, and now he is pushing the stability shafts.  The 6330 is a great model;  had one for a while but just didn't work out so I sold it.    I am trying to narrow myself down to a single putter 😢   but will still try all the new ones  🤪

I mean, I'm not saying they're identical or anything, but you don't think these look similar? And again, I know they serve different purposes (ultimately) but...

I don't think the MEZZ is that similar to a #7 style and just because there is a line of weights in each wing of the putter that they look similar.  As a putter guy, I guess I am more about the details instead of just looking at the generic bottom of the putter.    If we generically started comparing the EvnRoll putters to other putters,  there really isn't anything new about any of the models.   The swappable hosels have been done,  weights on the bottom have been done,  shapes and configurations have all been done.

... Said this before but my original 6330 was stolen in LA. Played with some Indian guys and some may remember their quote "Maximizing my dollar value" because they played the tips and shot 125 or higher. Told me I was paying twice what they paid if calculated by shots LOL! Awesome 3 guys and I holed a chip for eagle on 18 to shoot a 68 and they had never seen an eagle or a 68 in person and kinda mobbed me. In all the excitement I forgot my putter in the rough but discovered it when I got to my car. Went back and it was gone, I missed the group right behind us but asked the next group on the green if they saw it and nobody did. Left my number with the Pro Shop but nobody turned it in.

... At the time Bobby wasn't making anymore but promised to cal me if someone traded one in. About 6 months later he called and said he had one coming in and it was in great shape. Then a day later called to tell me it was going to a Head Pro at Medinah. Super bummed. Then about two weeks later he called to say the Pro didn't like it and it was mine if I still wanted it. I did. 🤑

That's fair - again, not trying to accuse anyone of anything - I've just never seen that many weights (eight, if I'm counting correctly) in the bottom of a putter before LAB, and here the ER5 has the same amount.  I love my LAB (not Mezz, mind you, the DF2.1, which looks like a frying pan, not a sexy ER5 (and I agree, the ER5 and the Mezz don't really "look alike")), and I'd love to roll the ER5, so again, not saying they look the same - just I'd never seen that many weight ports on a putter before the LAB.  I'm okay if there's inspiration taken from the LAB - I've never experienced a putter that's as easy to roll as my 2.1, so I'm all for companies trying different things.

To be fair, my original statement was not that they looked the same, just that "the weighting on the bottom is awfully reminiscent of the LAB".

To each their own, though! Let us know if you find a weight kit around HQ - very curious what the various weighting ports do to feel/stroke/etc.

The Evnroll lineup looks really nice this year.   I was looking at them over the past week and believe they have really up'd their game this year.   Can't wait for putter testing to start so I can see how they perform.

I will wait until I see them in person but I will more than likely have the 12 in the bag for a few rounds this year at least.

I think it is only 6,  2 of those are screws that attached the various soleplates/flanges.    It is a lot of weights,  I've seen 5 in Bobby Grace putters.    I do understand what you are saying but I think it is more like a machine putter than a LAB because of the swappable parts.

I have the original ER2 and I still love it. I was at Golf Galaxy with my brother a few days ago. He was demoing drivers and I went to the putter 'room' and started playing with the new EVNRolls.... nice putters! Then, I saw the putters by SIK. Sooooo good! I'm not sure $400.00 good, but.......................
