What are the odds he's on his way to a family ski vacation for the Holidays....and taking Justin Rose's (MRose) wife with him...I'm sure Sybi will have something to say about that .

I just can't read the news anymore.  None of it.  Our world is nothing but massive chaos and fear.  It does nothing but raise my negative emotions to the point where it affects my attitude.  None of this can be good for anyone's psyche.

I just need to tune it all out and focus on golf and other positive things.

That's why, in the mornings, when I'm getting ready to greet the world, I tune to "Morning Drive" on TGC.    There are several shows on TV that I follow and like.  But I always DVR them.   The one thing I dislike as much as the news are commercials, this allows me to fast forward through them.   Sometimes, I watch the shows again in case I missed something the first time.

Occasionally, for domestic points, I will watch the Bravo channel with the wife.   She likes those "Real Housewives of ......." shows.   The one consistency seems to be that all of the so-called housewives are living the good life, so to speak, but they just don't know how to be happy.   I guess it shows that a happy person will be happy, a miserable person will find a way to be miserable.

So the other morning I step out my front door - to the not heard around here sound of clattering hooves! Look up to see this LARGE buck trotting down my street .... now there are deer in the area, but you pretty much never see a buck, much less a large one with a .. well .. a "nice rack" ;-) and out in the daylight!

Beautiful animal.

The sad counterpart to that story is this evening as my wife was driving home she saw the car in front of her - that was speeding - hit a large buck.........

Likewise.  Never felt better than having ditched watching the 24/7/365 news media talking heads a few years ago.  I get just enough world wide info from the interwebz "news flash" blips to stay current... and without most of the spin.👍

I hate keeping score in a match play event. As the guy keeping score, you always have to keep up with where the match stands, and at some point there has to be a discussion as to where all the matches stand, and the only way to do that is ask, the trouble comes in when there’s 6 holes to go and you know that you are beating the crap out of the other team, but you have to make sure everyone knows where the match stands. I hate that.

I don't like announcing the score if we're up. It just feels discourteous to me somehow. If I'm behind I will ask as we head to the next hole "that puts you 2 up, right" or something like that. That way I'm letting my opponent off the hook if they feel uncomfortable about saying it.

When we announce it , it is something like what you said. It is in a courteous manner and we state it whether we're up or down. So it could be  "you're 1 up correct?. All our our teams do it so it's not out of sync.

Additionally part of the reason we do it is eliminate the math at the end of the round, especially since everyone scatters for dinner at the end - so it's a good way to make sure we have it correct.

I get that and was not taking issue at all. I just personally feel uncomfortable stating position when we're leading so tend to keep quiet unless they ask. I do keep a card and all scores so have a reference if there is any short term memory loss later in the match.

I think that if the procedure is to always read after every hole, it lessons the uncomfortableness of stating the score when you are ahead.

I know this ain't golf related or whatever but I bet your day was not near as interesting as mine  😳

It's a good thing my Dad trained me on how to be a good goat wrestler back in the day. I'd be the one whose job was to tackle the goat and hold him still while my Dad gave em a worm pill. The pills were rather large and those goats weren't particular happy having one slid down their throat. Anyways today my wife called me and asked if I would come down to the shelter and help her while she was taking pics of the dogs. She is a good photographer and has helped several of the dogs become adopted are fostered through her skill. If folks don't see em they won't adopt. Ok so back to goat wrestling skills. We had two pit bulls and one lab to take pics of today. For anyone not familiar with pit bulls, they are really strong dogs! So I hop in the first cage and put the collar and leash around Diamond which was not as big as Boomer who I later had the pleasure of wrestling. Because Diamond was not a particular huge pit I figured she would be a breeze. Well I get her out of the cage and about to take her outside when she turned up the jets and pulled my old arse around the yard like a rubber duck toy! 😯 I walked her all around the shelter trying to wear her down a bit and boy was that a joke. She reminded me back when I would help my Grand Dad with the plow mules. So after I got the drift that this little heifer had rocket fuel in her blood, I suggested we take her down to the holding pen and try and get some good pics. We finally nailed down some solid pics and took Diamond back to her launch pad.

I was worn out when my wife said ok now we need to get Boomer out for some pics. Oh my GAWD! I found out quick why they named that hoss Boomer! I thought the female pit was strong. I got him all harnessed up and we left his cage and out for his picture taking session. Well Boomer wasn't interested in picture taking. He took off and dragged me around the yard like I was behind a jet ski! He had a chest the size of mind and his head was twice as big... 🦁🦍That ole boy seemed to enjoy how much he dragged my 200 lb frame around the yard at record speeds.... My wife yelled out, " Hold him still"! I replied back, "hold em still my arse"! That pit had to be a rodeo bull in his prior life... We or rather him took us down to the holding pen and turned him loose so we could try and get some good shots. My wife was finally satisfied with her pics. Me and my buddy Boomer had this little match going back up the hill to see who could out pull the other. It's a good thing I was a goat wrestler back in the day. Where's my extra strength pain meds!!!!! 🤪

I know this ain't golf related or whatever but I bet your day was not near as interesting as mine

I walked her all around the shelter trying to wear her down a bit and boy was that a joke.
🦍That ole boy seemed to enjoy how much he dragged my 200 lb frame around the yard at record speeds.... 🤪

Now that's a funny story OG! Keep popping those pain meds because it'll hurt even more tomorrow!

My son's girlfriend and he gave a Pitbull. Her name is Lucy, and she is a hand full. Although she absolutely loves me and just wants to wrestle and Chase each other around the house. She also thinks she is a lap dog. IMG952018112595204200608.jpeg
