Same here. I've always been a big Rory fan ever since I started playing. I think it partly had to do with this commercial, I'm a sucker for things like that.

Completely agree (and with jlukes comment as well). Rory reminded me of his earlier years when he was an unstoppable force who just churned out birdies. I think a lot of Rory's game hinges on confidence. When he thinks he can beat you he does and in impressive fashion.

 

Tiger looks sharp. Wow. Count me as one of the people who said he was done. Not a tiger hater, just a spine/back realist. I'm rooting for him every tournament.

 

I also really like seeing Bryson do well. I think he gets undue criticism for experimenting with the game, but I like that he has brought some out of the box thinking to the game. Adds a different kind of variety to the leaderboard.

I disliked Rory at the beginning of his career, but now I feel he is much more down to earth and humble. Well deserved win!

I like this new Tiger.  I had DVR'd Sunday's rounds and saw him walking to the first tee, reaching out and fist bumping a few fans and high fiving a few others...he use to ignore the fans coming up to the first tee.  I'm just glad to see him out playing again, but to see the effect on the tourney is just crazy.  I kind of think that the other players have started to bring up their game too knowing he was playing the way he was (of course it could be they are starting to peak their games for Augusta).

He definitely had the old Tiger vision going on. I don't care who you are, it's good to have him back. I'm betting all of the events aside from the majors have record attendance. Heck even those too.

First off, I don't like Tiger, never have never will, but that doesn't mean that he isn't playing really well right now. Will he win, it seems like he could win, but with all of the talent we are seeing on tour, it will be really difficult for him to do so. Golf is in a great place right now, it was in a good place before Tiger, but now with him back it is in a great place, I don't have to like a guy to know he helps the game we love to play and watch. Looking forward to the Masters, there are at least 12 guys playing well enough right now that could win. With another 8-10 more that could win if they were to figure a couple things out heading into the Masters. Then there's always a guys or 2 no one has really ever heard of that shows up. So realistically there could be any one of about 25 players that could win. This is good competition, and will be fun to see it play out.

Right or wrong, IMO the adults should let him and the other players be (physically and verbally), let him/them stay focused on playing, and then look for attention or interaction before or after the Thur-Sun rounds. I know it's highly unlikely but I'd hate to see a guest hurt a player grabbing at them deliberately or by accident.

 

Rory said there was a guy heckling him and yelling his wife's name at him during the round. Rory also said the fans heckle Tiger a ton, enough to cost him strokes. JT was complaining about fans as well. 

 

I think the tournaments should crack down on yelling by fans and fast. It affects other fans too. I'm fine with a "get in the hole" but all the mashed potato, bababooy really needs to go.

Security should have found him and removed him. Along with 3/4 of the rest of them. Giant party is what it is turning into. I'm guessing they bet on who can say the dumbest loudest thing their buddies back in the dorms can hear on TV.
