Morning all and happy Friday!

Early Masters coverage while working from home on a very wet Friday. Nice! Looking like the rain means no round this afternoon, so I'll have to wait for Sunday and maybe Monday. That should mean some sim time this afternoon instead, so not all bad.

Ref Masters: With that double bogey and missed birdie putt just now, I'd love to have a mic on Hatton. LMAO.

Good Friday Morning Spies!

Whew… glad it is the last day of the work week. My new position has taken a toll on my available free time. I feel like I barely have any time to scan the forum or read articles these days. It will get better, just hectic right now. Haven’t been on a community call in a couple of weeks either. 

I also saw the AI Smoke Driver Testing! Wow! MGS is really setting the bar with great opportunities for the community! Hats off to the MGS crew for the continued hard work and effort to bring these to the community .

I did try out the AI Smoke driver when it came out. Minimal improvement over what I am currently using so I couldn’t justify the price point. Hoping to see some great reviews getting posted!

I had the Masters on while working but honestly, only got to catch a few nuggets here and there. Will be watching throughout the day today (a little break to actually try and get caught up). I have a gig tomorrow night so that will be fun to get out and play with my mates. And, it is at a golf course! I might have to play 9 in the morning…

Today is National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day  and National Licorice Day! 

It is also a few other things today but I always try to zero in on the food. It’s a priority of mine.

Good morning spy’s happy Friday. Hope everyone has a good weekend, it’s my long work weekend but have my tee time set for 1pm on Monday at Carolina Colours and that’s all I need to look forward too lol. Also it’s just me so if anyone is local and wants to play just call and add on, if you go through golf now it’s $40 after green fee and tax.

We've had 3 straight days of rain and I'll be spending my morning replacing the drywall in my half bath ceiling with this wonderful tournament playing in the background

Good morning, Spies, and TGIFF!!

Well, it did in fact stop raining!! It's a clear blue sky this morning with lots of sun shinning. It's a bit chilly at around 46* with a high of 56* today. But the warmth is coming, with highs going 68* tomorrow for my first round of the season, 77* on Sunday for round 2, and nothing below 70* for the rest of next week for highs. Granted more rain is coming Tuesday evening thru Friday when temps drop again. *sigh* Mother nature needs to get back on her pills.

It hasn't been the best of weeks for me on the workout or eating front. Been very lazy this week and I feel it. I need to get back on the horse, especially with 2 rounds this weekend and the MGS outing not too far away. I need to see about making some changes to the plan though, as even when I was going good with the treadmill and eating I wasn't seeing any real weight loss or anything. So, something's missing. I may need to think about finding a nutritionist to consult with who also has trainer experience to help me with a plan.

Anyway, everyone have a great Master's day 2!!

Good morning all and happy Friday! Some excellent golf played yesterday in round one and looking forward to round two of the Masters today! Need some members of my pool crew to pick up the slack a bit so I can get into the mix . I am a criminal offender of changing my lineup repeatedly for pools like this, and it once again did more harm than good. Maybe this time I will learn my lesson lol.

Heading to the in-laws cabin after work today to do some fishing, and hoping to squeeze a round of golf in when we get back Sunday, but yard work and general cleaning of the house beckons.

Good Morning! all, if a bit later than typical for me .. wide awake in the middle of the night then out cold from just before my wife's alarm at 5am thru to 8am 

So sipping my coffee, catching up here. Lots of good stuff going on, fellow Spies!

No outside golf for me today - we got pounded with crazy heavy bands of rain overnight along with some of those wild Wyo winds. Calmer now but you can see big puddling everywhere .. so the course needs a day to drain .. so will put in some indoor reps and putting later.

And a little house cleaning (oh yay ), as we're having friends over Saturday night, but heck it needs it plus I always earn a few brownie points for doing the floors, kitchen counters, main floor bathroom.

OK well hope it's a real TGIF for you and you make it through your day unscathed, unharassed and ready for happy hour!!

Nothing like early Masters coverage and a light day on meetings. Moved work to the basement to be able to watch coverage all day. Pretty crappy weather but should clear this weekend hoping i can maybe get out for 9 or some chipping practice.

Good morning Spies! The battle with the sore neck continues. For some reason Tylenol helps more than ibuprofen, and the heating pad varies in effectiveness. I think I just need to back off and let it heal. Hitting balls the other day didn't seem to make it worse, but not sure about that. I'll be batching it a bit this weekend; GF is leaving this afternoon with a friend to shoot some content for her nascent YouTube channel. She'll only be like 15 miles away but still gone for a couple of days. So I get cat duty for the "eight is enough" group. An excuse to stay home and watch the Masters, which I will be doing as soon as a morning meeting for work ends.

Not much on the agenda today as my spousal unit has seen fit to allow me a day of relaxation! Not sure what to make of it and a little unnerving when considering the possibilities tomorrow may bring...

A beautiful day in store here so I think I'll take advantage of this pass and get some practice in with the net. Still chasing the elusive in-to-out swing path... and then of course plenty of time in front of the TV for The Master's.

I've got the masters going on my secondary screen and cant wait to see how the leaderboard shakes out after day.  They really just crush it with their app and viewing experience.  so much golf you can follow.

Rain should be letting up later today and make way for a sunny and 70's weekend. My grass will be looking me in the eye by then

Doing a LOT around the house tomorrow to get caught up and ready for the final round Sunday. I been watching in between work duties and man the course humbling a ton of quality players. I think the wind has really played a factor.

Still no golf in my future, but I like i said before, I still practice and study like I am about to get a round in! Be well and have a great weekend spies.

Really is!! Along with all his successes I do respect that about him. If you've seen his "Game For Life" video, or read other articles about him, he has a crazy-for-an-old-dude daily exercise program in his home gym along with an over-the-top healthy eating regimen!

Tracking shows I should get a package today with a basic net to set-up in the backyard for additional practice without leaving home.

Any recommendations for a pad? I have a generic section of turf, anyone recommend a certain pad?

I am going to start by hit off grass, maybe save myself a little mowing at the same time, heh.

I have a Spornia ProStrike Commercial net, 5 by 5 feet, very cushioned and feels a lot like real turf, and I'm very pleased with it. May or may not be useful for you for a backyard setup because of its size (killing the grass underneath).

Good morning spies! Short game practice nearly every day is starting to work. With my 58 degree, using the Pelz finesse swing, 40 balls monitored on the Garmin R10, 35 of them in the 40 to 43 yard range from a 7:30 swing. That was pretty cool. IMO repeatability in the short game is the key to scoring well. 

@Shrek74 hate to tell you this, but weight loss does not occur in the gym or on the treadmill.... It happens in the kitchen. By staying out of it.

Agreed. I've actually made a lot of changes to eat better (and less), mixed with the other activities. Still no joy. That's what's really got me down the most.

I would like to harken back and reminisce about my college life.. But if like myself, you went to college/university in the 60’s /70’s and again like me … did college right… That time frame is probably just a mishmash of hazy glimpses of misremembered events.

I worked in New Bern for a few months a couple of winters ago; never played Carolina Colours but hit some putts on their practice green after work. However, I'll be in Charlotte Monday afternoon.
