There is the Harvey Penick Golf Academy in Austin. Not sure if they are too commercialized. I also heard good things about Beyond Golf Performance. One of my buddy’s said to check out Garry Rippy, he is in the Austin area.

Thanks!

@StrokerAce what putter were you using before your putter quest?

Meanwhile, the same friend who helped GF put together my sim last week came over to build a backyard palace (it's like 8 by 12 feet) for our cats, since we have been notified by the local constabulary that they can no longer roam the neighborhood; $600 fine awaits the next occurrence. But GF is not going to leave them locked inside, thus the palace.

I’m lost—the local governing body can tell you that you’re not allowed to let your cat roam outdoors? How is that possible?

Yep. They've paid us two visits now. Most recent one threatened the $600 fine. Evidently our neighbors have called Animal Control to complain. However, there has also been a white cat roaming the neighborhood who is not part of our menagerie; I have to wonder if the neighbors assume the white one also belongs to us. Come to think of it, though, haven't seen the white cat in a while. Perhaps its owner also got a visit from the Animal Control folks.

Obsessed with chasing the dimpled orb.

That's Branson for you. When I was in the midst of my running obsession, I attended a medical conference at the Radisson in Branson (I remember that because it had a Sleep Number bed), and of course I had to get in training runs while I was there. Those were ... not fun. Needed ropes, crampons and a Sherpa to get up some of those hills. IIRC Thousand Hills now owns the Radisson, so there's your connection. My golfing memory of Branson was that was the weekend that Tom Watson almost won the Open in his geriatric period; Stewart Cink won the playoff.

Yes and when you’re used to flat lands, it can be shocking. I can’t imagine running any extended length around here!

Branson-related trivia: Branson is in the Ozark Mountains, which geologically is the only known mountain range built from the top down. It started out as a high plateau and erosion carved the mountains out of that plateau.

Thanks for the trivia! I did not know that!

I just made it back from the dermatologist and according to him, it's it looks like Actinic keratosis. It's a scaly bump caused by if UV exposure and can turn cancerous in certain situations.

They numbed the spot and removed it to send off for a biopsy and I should know in a week or two what the results are.

For now, I have to keep it bandaged and put Vaseline on it.

Thank you all for the kind words and support.

@sirchunksalot you know I will be praying for the best news!!

Just caught up on 67 new "morning posts" sorry if I missed reacting to so many.

For those who need them, I have prayers and good thoughts on speed dial for ya!

Where the heck is an Evelyn Wood speed reading course when you need it…
