fixyurdivot
Well now, I may just have to keep the new sticks in the box until the current mojo on the G410's wanes. Do you think it possible clubs get a "sense" of change in the wind? 39/42 at Desert Hills today. B2B rounds with some solid ball striking and some long (for me) drives. Just on the apron on the 505 yard par 5 #6 in two and putted for the Big Bird - rolled right up to the cup and stopped short a couple of inches. I have added a new pre-shot routine, between my ears, reminding myself of tempo (so important for me). I played with a young guy (late 20's I'm guessing), from Kentucky, who is with the National Guard and here on a one year assignment assisting Border Patrol. He hit it a ton... nearly drove the 310 yard #13 with a 3w . Great company and fun round. sp0rtsfan86
Played 3rd 9 of 2021 and mirrored a lot of my rounds so far. Couldn't hit the driver on a few holes and had to scramble. Had a 3 putt while mulling over a swing change and not devoting attention to the 4 foot comeback. Parred the next hole. Then took an ugly ugly ESC 8 by nearly hitting an iron lay up in the water, chipping it out, thinning a short iron into a bunker and taking 2 to get out of the sand. Of course that was the 9th hole and was on pace to end with a 45 with a par... instead ended with a 48. MattF
Played at The National at Ave Maria yesterday and shot a lackluster 96. 77% of fairways on the front and 11% on the back...dunno what happened. Shot Scope doesn't have the course mapped because it's brand new, so I tracked it for them and they'll use my raw data to start mapping it. Looking at Google, there's nothing on the satellite view. I'm writing a small review and posting a lot of pics that I took in the Courses section. I'll add a link to it here when I'm done. Popular Post Getoffmylawn
Finally got out for my first round this past Saturday, and it didn't go well. I posted in the SuperSpeed review thread about this, but after a winter of those protocols I hit a ton of big push fades, with damn near every club. Add in 20 mph winds, low 40s temps, and being late to the golf course with no time to putt before the round, and an 85 is what I got. Putter actually warmed up significantly and has me very optimistic for the season, but it's time for a lot of Orange Whip and range time to straighten out the ball-striking. RollingGreens
Played 18 on Sunday. Great day for golf. Played 9 on Saturday which showed as the front 9 went wonderful. My driver on the back 9 got a little loose, possibly fatigue related. Started to have my hips open early allowing the club head to get in front of my hands for some large pulls. Unfortunately houses come in to play on the back 9, excuses or not a birthday song started in my backswing and I hit a house. Luckily for me all I heard was vinyl siding vs a window. Rickp
Played 9 Monday & Tuesday mornings. I’ve switched to the G710 irons and probably not going away from them for a while. They’ve been good and can’t blame them when I get out of Tempo.Odd outing Monday we had a guy cancel and so a walk up took his spot. Probably late 50’s old beat up clubs, Crocs with no socks and looked almost homeless. First woods out his mouth was that he is a Golf Pro and dropped a ton of names (any of us can do that). He did hit the ball a long way and seemed to be a really good player. He also said he was preparing to play Senior Open this year. What also seemed strange besides the beat up mismatched clubs were the lack of Logos or clothing with equipment names. Wish him luck on his journey.BTW he was kinda lobbying to join up with our group againSent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy RollingGreens, tony@CIC, GaDawg and 5 others 7 1 Quote Rick Left Hand, Driver; PXG 0311XF Cypher 50 gr Senior 5 wood; Ping 425, Senior Shaft 55 gr 7 wood; Ping 425, Senior Shaft 55 gr 5 hybrid; Cally Steelhead, Hazardous R2 Irons; Mizuno JPX 923HM 7-GW Recoil 460 F2 Wedges; Titleist S9 54*, Mizuno SW 56* Putter; Waaay too many to list

I shot a 90 which included 77% of fairways on the front. I birdied the first par 5 on the back and parred the monster par 5 16th. RollingGreens
Couldn’t have had a worse day but I took it in stride. Showed up to the course and they didn’t have my tee time. Turns out they butchered the name so bad I couldn’t recognize anything even close when looking at the sheet. The pro shop was helpful but accused us of a few times of booking the wrong course. They finally agreed to let us start in the back 9. First hole was good piped a drive. The next 5 holes were a different tale. I developed the yips on the tee box. Topping and shanking everything. Tempted to let the alligator eat my drive after the 5th time on 18 things started to shift in my favor going towards the front 9 I was hammering my driver. Irons were good and wedges were decent for the short game. Even made a few good putts. Definitely a tale of two different 9s with the back being close to 55 and the front a mere 44. All the frustration from the pro shop caught up to me and I was scatter brained. Even left my 4 iron with my rangefinder in a tee box I had to go back from. Group behind us would have just left it there. Lessor learned for tomorrow. R E L AX. Playing country club of Hilton head.
