Rhoback has the Blitz Tech hoodie that’s light weight and perfect for keeping the sun off of you. Has silver knitted into to help with stink after sweating in the sun. Not cheap, but code GOAT15 helps bring the price down. Might need to try a new email if it’s says you’re not eligible.

I like the train of thought but the Oklahoma wind makes bucket hats unbearable for me with them blowing in the wind all the time lol

I bought the D3 new and still use it. It's a great driver. Nice, easy swings get me 270+ yds and relatively little left or right deviation (most of the time).

I bought the new VGP01 and just got it in the mail today. I'm itching to use it and compare it to my odyssey lab stroke mallet.

Putter Grips.jpg

Putter Heads.jpg

So, after a few practice days and one round, this putter has definitely improved my play on the greens. The feel of this putter is far and away better than my odyssey stroke lab seven. I was able to get my first putts much closer to the hole and actually felt like I was putting the ball with an even soft and fluid motion. Each time I hit the ball it felt the same as if I were making an indent with my fingernail in a soft piece of wood. The putter is much heavier than my odyssey as well. I opted for the 36 inch 140g black shaft and that has helped with the feel of the putts as well. I also feel like it has been much easier to square up my putts looking over the ball.

First week with this thing and nothing but positives so far.

Just ordered myself a TSR3 hybrid 21° - the TSR2 21° that I have been playing just isn't right for me. The head shape and turf interaction is just... off. It's hard to explain but I don't hit that club well or consistently. Here's to hoping the TSR3 suits me better.

I'm convinced the TSR2 head is just too big. It's a fairway head on a hybrid shaft

Isn't that called a "Super Hybrid"?

I have a few Adam's super's in my collection.

The idea of a fairway wood with a hybrid shaft sounds good, but sometimes they can feel weird or awkward to look at or swing.

You may be correct. I have a TSR2 5w. I actually like it as a fairway that I can hit higher, land softer. Opposed to that is the TSi3 3w that I really like, flat ball flight, great distance, etc. I read the TSR3 hybrid head is smaller than the TSR2 hybrid head but bigger than the TSi3 hybrid footprint. Looking forward to that one arriving soon.

Found someone selling a lot of clubs for $10

It included a Dual Force 2 #1 Odyssey putter, a Ping Anser with a TigerShark grip, Titleist DCI 990 irons PW - 4 (missing 7), and 3 Cleveland Tour 900 wedges.

The Odyssey shaft is cut down to a kid size, but I have another shaft/grip combo that I am going to put it on, but the head is in great shape.

The DCI's are in good shape for their age, and they have basically brand new midsize Lamkin Crossline grips installed.

The Cleveland's are very, VERY rusty, looks like they were left outside and forgotten about for a while, but nothing a little coke bath and elbow grease won't take care of. They also have the same new Lamkin grips.

There are a handful of older clubs and junior clubs in the lot as well that I will either donate to a local range or post for free.

After trying a few I bought a Cobra King Tec.

Took it to the range last night for its first outing and all I can say is wow!

Averaged 210 yards with it, great flight and straight so looking forward to getting on the course with it

Funny coincidence I just picked one up on sale and took it for its first range session today .. "I think this may the start of a great friendship" (quick: name that movie)

Already tinkered with it - head felt a touch heavy for me so removed the 2g weight in the rear and covered the open port with a small piece of clear plastic tape. There are also two heavier weights heel and toe, plus an adjustable hosel.

Next range session I'll try it with the rear weight back in; also test it against the 5W that it's likely to replace.

Stupid easy to hit .. and for the first time out with a lower lofted club, easy for me to hit relatively straight .. and with a nice lower trajectory with less spin vs the 5W is what I'm looking for!

With this being said, didn't realize being a tester would cost so much lol.. I see something I think will help me test and I buy it without a 2nd thought.. New tripod, scales, putting green, pic accessories, etc.. Looking at an outdoor simulator now for future test but the SWSBO keeps looking up my purchases lol..I'll sneak one by her somehow!

I could argue that being the travel bag tester is very expensive with a "test" trip to Ireland, however the trip was booked long before I got picked to be the tester. 🙂

I will say, I've been fortunate in the way that MOST of my golf purchases are goodwill/thrift store bargains I find. Some have been "cheaper than Amazon" online alternatives.

Now as for the "did you really need that?" queries from the lady boss over the frivolous golf related items purchased on her temu account?  Yeah, purely for my idea.of "yes,  I did!"

I honestly don't mind spending a little.. I have enjoyed this forum and all but 1 of my kids have flown the coop and are pretty independent so I figure why not spend a couple bucks in hopes that I save everyone who reads our reviews a few bucks on something they might not like or spend a few and be satisfied with the purchase

Btw, if u ever run across a decent launch monitor for a great price just let me know.. Will send u the cost, a finders fee, and shipping cost.. Can't justify paying $400-800 for one bc I won't use it enough but would love to have one

I've been eyeing the basic lcd display ones on Amazon just for backyard and range use. They remind me of my bbq temp monitors 😆

Still 200-500 bucks though!

I went with 6 to 9 200’s and PW and GW 150’s. Much cleaner looking clubs to my eyes than the Callaway Paradyms (which I really like). However, the Titleist irons were awesome when I hit them.

Play like a champion today!
