robertsummers
As usual MyGolfSpy comes though with another fantastic opportunity for the enthusiastic golfer! Thanks MyGolfSpy! My selection was the Cobra Forged Tec X model I hope to get more forgiveness, instant feedback by feel and performance, clubs that help me swing with great rhythm and relaxed feel and not needing to swing out of my shoes just for distance. Shapotomous
Thank you to Rob & Cobra for this opportunity!!! Bob from North East, MD I chose the Forged Tech X configured below because I am getting older and need some more forgiveness and help with distance as I am losing swing speed with age. I am currently playing Mizuno JPX 900 Forged in a stiff Proj X LZ shaft. My handicap started the year around 5 and I have lost a couple strokes to its current neighborhood of 7. I will be happy to write up a complete review of the clubs and continue to add to it with updates as time goes on. DiscipleofPenick
This is an awesome opportunity! Thanks MGS! 1. KING Forged Tec - Even though these are a players iron, I expect them to be more forgiving than my current set. And the lofts are stronger so I should gain more distance as well. I am also interested in the feedback and feel of the hollow-body construction as I've never hit those type of irons before, I've always played forged. 2. Tom - Cleveland, Ohio 3. vandyland
Built up a set with no upcharge options: -- I elected to try the standard forged tec because I like playing a softer players iron that still has forgiveness in it. Also, I am more accustomed to standard lofts so the stronger lofts on the X are not as appealing to me. I would hope to have a mid ball flight with spin consistency and hoping to not have any low spin rockets randomly come out on center strikes like can happen in super GI irons. -- Brent/Nashville, TN -- 3.8 Index -- Currently playing Ben Hogan PTxPro irons -- Yes of course! JonMUSC08
1. I chose the Forged Tec OL irons for a few reasons. One length offers the ability to greatly improve my ball striking consistency. It eliminates the concern to know exactly where each progressive iron needs to be placed in my stance. Additionally, this will allow me to focus on the upcoming shot and allow me to improve my shot shaping given the pin location. 2. mikeanthony
It was the CCC4 competition during the Covid summer of ‘20 that kept me sane, entertained, engaged and really brought my attention to Cobra as a serious OEM iron player … so much so that I bought their OL F9 irons when they went on sale. While it was a fun experiment, over time, the OL concept just didn’t gel for me. But it was Boston Brian’s love affair with the Forged Tec that caught my attention (not the fact that he won ) … plus the speed foam tech in the irons and more importantly, the combo “phorged” tec is highly appealing to me. - Explain why you chose the model you did and what you'd hope to get out of them performance wise: chose the Forged Tec for it’s more in line with what I’m looking for in an iron set. DeBartola_B
1. I am currently playing LTDx irons mostly due to the cost difference between LTDx and the Forged Tec. Personally I am always skeptical of buying the most premium models of new clubs, I think new clubs are new clubs and mostly perform better than your previous set. I think this would be a great opportunity to compare a standard and premium offering of the same year to truly see if it the additional costs are worth it. 2. Blake from Fayetteville, GA 3. Currently playing Cobra LTDx 4. 8 Handicap 5. Like I mentioned earlier I would love to do a study to show the difference between the same years model of clubs from the standard player improvement and the premium players distance offerings. Dawg061
Thank you Cobra and MGS for this opportunity! Explain why you chose the model you did and what you'd hope to get out of them performance wise I don't hit my current irons as good as I used to, so going with the Forged Tec X should give me that extra forgiveness I need when I'm not finding the middle of the face with every swing. After never having any experience with Cobra clubs, I've seen them grow in popularity and my son loves his Cobra clubs. Based on his feedback and performance, I expect these will be plenty long and forgiving, and it'd be nice to experience a forged feel in the irons. I hope that by finally updating my irons to one of the best offerings on the market, I can regain some confidence and distance and get back to really enjoying this game we all love.
