The teams have still yet to be decided and we will update this thread with future challenges, updates as well as the testers will have their full reviews, introductions, unboxings and much more all here in this thread!

As a final housekeeping note, please keep all memes, gifs and those such posts in the PreChatter thread as this thread will be meant for the reviews and challenge discussions.

That's a great thought, and as someone that has always played irons anywhere from 1.5 to 2 degrees up, I had the same tendency with my wedges.   During a fitting at TPI a couple years ago, that's exactl what he said, to go flat on the wedges for me would be a good thing, just from the way I came into the ball and the fact they were over length, added to upright. 

But I'll say that's just my experience, but definitely a great question for your fitter.

... As a west coast semi retired thespian I wake up at around 11am Eastern Standard Time. A little surprising to see 6 pages of replies before I even knew who was picked LOL! Still sinking in with my morning coffee but of course crazy excited already. I have been a member for 13 years and this is only my 2nd testing so I am plenty rested. 

... I would like to thank The Academy and my Agent ... whoops, wrong speech. Obviously I really appreciate this opportunity from MGS and Cobra and look forward to the competition, challenges and reviewing/sharing my thoughts with an entire bag of Cobra clubs. 

... Should also be fun on a competitive level with the Tortoise and the Hair using the King Tour or MB/CB irons. Depending on the physical demands of playing 4-5 times a week I have good days and bad days so a 79 is just as likely as a 69 where I think Tom is rock steady. Of course the 3 levels should be informative for every level of player and I will follow the Forged Tec and Aerojet competitors with equal interest!

And not that I don't like @chisag or @Tom the Golf Nut or their golfing abilities .. but as far as testers more alike to my game and so product reviews more applicable to me, will be curious to see how @CFreddie and @sirchunksalot get on with the TEC/TEC-X irons and what @Jnoble89 and @JerryB think of the AeroJets...

Also curious to see how the testers build out their bags.. and how that ends up working out for them over the (6?) weeks...

Think there will be a lot to be learned on both ends of this unique test-review!!!

I think I am going to hit them at my fitting this weekend just to see what they are like, but not sure it’s something I’d like or not

If any of the challenges involve inadvertently hitting into the water, I'm going to be tough to beat!!

Hitting my irons like garbage right now so a fitting will be an adventure, but even with that I was leaning towards going hybrid heavy as much as I can; I've always tended to hit them better.

Just bought a Rogue ST driver last year so I'm curious to see how they compare.

... You are not alone Jerry. Many more struggle than excel at this game* so even if you play poorly, and lets not assume that before we even start , there will be plenty in the same boat that may appreciate hearing how your clubs perform when playing badly than when playing well. At worst it is a lose-win proposition so no pressure. 

* Regardless of level and I am always reminded of Chip Beck that shot a 59 on the PGA TOUR, then couldn't make a cut and lost his card. Everyone struggles!!!

Not me. It took over 30 years to get used to traditional. I don't have another 30 years left in me to try something new!

I've toyed with the thought in the past and I'll talk to the fitter and see if they think it's right for me. It's a fascinating concept and worked out well for one of the past competitors, @daviddvm.

Fitting is locked in with a Cobra rep for Saturday at 2pm at a golf course about an hour and a half from me. Got lucky with a connection who knew someone who knew someone at Cobra! Can't wait to go through the entire process and report back!
