I'm really wanting to find a rangefinder or shot tracking System. My cheap one lasted a season and I will try replacing the battery, but think it's about done.

I think the H4 LX or whatever it's called from Shot Scope is likely the answer, but still want to see what's out there.

Outside of that I am pretty set. Maybe wedges, but the ones I have now are still good.

Wanting to upgrade my driver shaft for 2024. Hoping to do a shaft fitting over the winter and then look for deals on a used premium shaft. Wanting to try the Tour AD line as well as Ventus for sure.

Two things:

1.  A watch that does everything but delivery emails and texts - so tells time, logs steps, heart rate and acts as an accurate golf gps but won’t sync with my phone’s ne and disrupt me.

2.  A different shaft for my irons.

Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  Aldila  R flex   - 42.25 inches

SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft

Ping G410 7, 9 wood  Alta 65 R flex

Srixon ZX5 MK II  5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex

India 52,56 (60 pending)  UST recoil 75's R flex

Evon roll ER 5 32 inches

It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD

New range finder. My bushnell V2 jolt kicked the bucket this year. I am transitioning out of arccos and just using the ghin app and think I need a range finder to compliment.

and of course….a driver….can’t wait to see OEMs line up this year 🤤

Since it is a wish list, and a budget doesn’t need to be satisfied, I would include the following:

1. A rangefinder, preferably non magnetic, IYKYK.

2. The aforementioned driver head/shaft combination that fits my swing

3. Steelfiber i110 stiff shafts for my irons

Beyond that, I can get through next season without changing the iron shafts or driver out, so really the rangefinder is the only priority for next season.

I need to replace my wedges this next year. I haven't had these for a super long time but found them used and the 54° has some wear.  I know people love the Vokeys but I'm not 100% sold on them.  I want to do some testing with a few brands and dial the choice in.

I also will probably replace my 3 wood at some point.  I attempted to recently with a Callaway buy that was too good of a deal but after a few rounds with it, I'm not liking the flight.

For me:

maybe wedges but my Cleveland’s still have a lot of life in them

maybe a fit driver but my current setup is totally gameable for me

my iron play has me thinking of more players like setup but I just need to stop that nonsense. although sub70 and Takomo look on fire! 🔥

balls, may ask for left dash as I really don’t need more spin. I am able to one hop and stop my XVs. I wish the new snell balls were closer to the mtb -x.

lessons. My last of my three pack is gonna be used in a month or two. Did have the chance at a 5 month off-season plan for $700 (live, chat plus submissions which would be about $70 a lesson). Just can’t drop that amount right now.

edit: forgot I need shoes. My adidas are starting to peel on the toe from my trail side slide

Great thread.  It's never too early to start thinking ahead and what might be on the horizon for your golf game.

For me, it's:

  1. Decide if I continue to accept the halo I see in the initial version of the Shot Scope Pro LX range finder.   Because I wear glasses (both prescription progressive regular and sunglasses), the eye piece to lens distance creates a visible distortion which is a bit annoying.  I have to try the new one as it seems that critical distance is shorter.
  2. Decide if the Paradym X irons I reviewed are right for me in the long run.  I've struggled with my irons over the last nine months.  Lately, I've come to the realization it's the archer not the arrow that's to blame and sought professional help with my swing.  So far it's helped.  Once my swing has stabilized a bit, I want to put the Paradym X's through another round of testing to prove they should stay in the bag.
  3. Update my wedges.  I've been very happy with my Edison wedges, but I've put over 300 rounds on them.  Since I'm "distance challenged" with my game, I rely on my wedges as I rarely hit most par 4's in regulation.  So it may be time!

The only thing I'm thinking of is a new bag. Woods/hybrids are all set for quite some time. My irons are approaching 9yrs old at this point, but every time I try to replace them I just come back thanks to their forgiveness and how well they work for me. Wedges are still great. I could be talked into maybe trying a new putter... maybe.

Launch monitor to make my practice at home more worthwhile.

I’d also like to join the push-cart mafia. I prefer the experience of walking, but carrying all 18 can be a little tiring.

Also, I’d like to do another fitting next year but haven’t found a good spot to do it. Suspect I’d end up with new irons, but open to other changes if those come up too.

2 things, back fusion surgery that will hopefully happen in December or January if the doctors ever get their act together, the pain doesn't allow me to practice and I can only play with the correct amount of meds and adult beverages.

I certainly want to try the Paradym Super Hybrid, but with back surgery on the horizon, not trying to many clubs at this point.

I am actually very happy with my bag at the moment, ZX5 MKII Irons, Cobra Hybrid, TSR3 4 Wood, Rogue ST Max LS Driver, Cleveland Zip Core wedges and Odyssey Tri Hot 5K two putter. I am always looking to fill the spots between my driver and Cobra LTDx 4 Hybrid.

A 7 wood. I have a large gap between my 5 wood and my 4 hybrid and 4 iron. Need something for 200 yards - experimenting with my 5 wood by adding loft to see if I can close the gap, but that will only take me to 19 degrees. We will see!

Titleist T150 4-9 irons, Standard length, 2* flat and 2* weak, Lamkin crossline full cord grips, 1/2 wrap under bottom hand only, X100 shafts soft stepped, swingweighted to D4.  Throw in a Vokey PW @ ~47* to hopefully fill the gap between 9 and my 52* GW, at the same specs.

Still need to update my 3wood from the 906F4 to match my 7wood TSR2.

Would love to add a Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5.5 in 33" 350g.

The one thing that has been on my mind since the fall.  A set of Wilson Staff CBs, w/ DG S300 and either midsized GP Plus 4s or Jumbo Maxs.

But since I get to dream a little, my wedges are getting in the replacement zone, so a set of the new Ping S159 blacked out, Dynapwr 3 & 5w to match the driver; a Jones forum bag, and an endless supply of Left Dash Pro V1x's.

And a black pair of Footjoy ProSL's.  And a black shaft/grip combo for my Bettinardi.  /dreamwishlist.

Any single length companies on the test horizon? I've recently seen some ads and reviews on these, and very few topics regarding single length clubs here. Admittedly I haven't looked too much into them.

I started off 2024 wishing for a new putter. I ended up with a Cleveland Huntington Beach SOFT 14 putter. Loving it so far.

Right now, wish list consists of either the KE4 Max irons or the Takomo 101's. Though, if there was no budget, the Ping Blueprint S irons are just beautiful.
