SuperStroke "Honor Veterans and Active Duty Personnel" Grips Travesty

I posted this on another site but wanted to share.

"Just got off the phone with SuperStroke customer service and the rep I talked to stated NONE of the Proceeds from these grips will go to any Veteran affiliated charity or be used to support Active Duty personnel.  I stated directly to her that they are using the sacrifices of present and past military personnel to trick people into buying grips thinking they are 'Honoring our Veterans and Active Service personnel' just to generate revenue and she responds with something along the lines of "I guess we are."

I will no longer be a customer of SuperStroke and given my previous service would be extremely disappointed in any one else who decides to be knowing the above bull $hit.  To me this is the lowest of the low for a company in America to do.

Maybe the lady I spoke with is clueless but I highly doubt it."

Here is the website to the grips, just copy and paste it into your browser...  http://www.superstrokeusa.com/
Here is the # for their customer service..  1-800-667-0181

I highly encourage others to call and ask the same question I did above to ensure this isn't just the case of a ignorant employee.  Do not send an email as mine went unanswered for the last week with no response.

I bet they might change that if you asked Jordan Spieth How SuperStroke honors veterans and active service personnel with their Limited Production Camo Grips.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

I would never put one of those on my putter- not a fan of camo prints, but if this is true that would be very troubling and disheartening to say the least! I really liked the superstroke flatso ultra.

I guess this would be par for the course for many charities that pocket huge sums of founds with very minimal going to those they are suppose to be serving.

I am spamming their Instragram account as we speak.

I mean if there no proceeds going to charity that's fine, but the verbage used seems a little misleading....

How can we Honor our Veterans and Active Duty Military Personnel if there are no proceeds given to Charity?

Just got this in an email from my inquiry to Superstroke......I asked what charities would benefit from the proceeds.  They replied:

That is up to the winners of the contest. They get to choose the military charity of their choice and it will be donated in their name. An announcement will be made at the closing of the contests.

Thanks,

Pete

Update from Pete on another site.  They either did a very poor job with this one or are now covering their butts.

"Everyone!

I want to first and foremost apologize to you all for the miscommunication. We take this very seriously and I want to explain the confusion of what is going on.Our launch of the grip on the website did not coincide properly with our campaign on social media. The intention in this release and social media contest was to offer the winners not only a prize grip but a donation of 20% of the proceeds split among the three contest winners donated to the military charity of their choice. This was to be announced tomorrow at the conclusion of the contest as a surprise. I want to thank you for your continued support and dedication. If you have any concerns at all I am more than happy to speak with you in person. My phone number is 586-758-7807 ext. 105.

Thanks,

They are probably covering their butts since this hit here on MGS and on WRX or that service rep did not know her butt from a hole in the ground which would not surprise me either. That last part seems to be SOP for most companies around here anyway
