Combining two 9-hole league nights. Subbing in this league, have gotten to play 2 out of 4 weeks so far. Will hopefully get a full time spot next year.

Not my best stuff, inconsistent off the tee and put a couple out of play. High point was an eagle on the par 5 1st. Bombed one 318 down the middle, 9i to 10 feet, made the putt. Proceeded to shoot 45

If only I could putt!

Was a decent round with a lovely couple I had never met before. 

Quick recap is the driver was fair. Long... all the drives connected well and had 2 that peeled off left for penalties. 

Putter was ice cold and I dont remember the last time I missed so many 5-6 footers. Normally I am close to automatic, but not today. Maybe because I got my shipping notice for my LAB putter?

Anyway made 2 nice birdies. One on the 2nd hardest hole on the course and another just missed an long range eagle putt, but happy with a birdie there. A great 2 putter par on the hardest hole on the course. However again I dont remember the last time I had more than a single 3 putt in a round. I am pretty sure I had 3 or 4 this round. Was just ugly. 

Good par on the last hole to end the day after nearly chipping in. 

Fun day fun round!

Had a match and stroke play against a friend who is around the same handicap as me. 

I won the first 9 holes 4 up, but it was nothing to be proud of. The greens at this course are lightening fast. Like putting on concrete and took a lot to get use to. Driver was stellar and just really solid, but apparently I forgot how to hit my irons which was frustrating. first 2 holes great off the 2 and managed lost balls on the approach. 

Back 9 was far better and the final 5 holes I played 1 over, however the round was as a whole pretty brutal. The course is stupid difficult with 4 foot high grass for rough which means any ball close is a gonner. 

Won the back 9 1 up, which was nice we had a better back 9 and made it more interesting. 

Fun round and cant wait to go back as this course can be getable, just wasnt our day!

Had a fun round with little in the way of results to show for it. 

Made 2 good pars to start the round before an awful double on a not so hard par 5. Just one of those rounds where couldn't quite get everything going and in truth a lack of sleep played a big role as well. 

Either way fun to get out there and play as I am in my final few rounds before the baby comes and then there wont be much golf for a little while!

One of my favorite courses to play. Jumped out for twilight and was able to just barely squeeze in all 18. It has been a struggle off the tee (some inflated driving distances on this course, some nice speed slots and sloping fairways + no rain in 3 weeks) but at least was hitting the center of the club face, just not sure what direction it will go. Irons have been as good as ever, still waiting on that round where all the pieces come together but until then I will take solid contact and work from there!

My home course is in the middle of their first of likely four aerations (punched with sand top dress) this summer.  We had to play the front twice.  

The first nine, I shot 40, hitting every fairway in regulation, four up and downs and 13 putts.  I'm really surprised how few putts I made given the varying degree of sanding.  The second time around, my driver gave out around the 6th hole.   On the par 3 eight hole I hit it in the mangrove thinking I would make my third double in a row.  A decent chip shot and making a 16-foot putt saved a bogey.  

I'm struggling with my iron play. which is making the Paradym X irons I tested look bad.  I know it's something in my swing that I can't seem to overcome.   Part of it is that I tend to stiffen up when I have a general infection.  I've been struggling with a tooth infection for the last two months.  That's how long I've had to wait for my root canal and subsequent cap.    The root canal is scheduled for next Tuesday (after my round of golf), so hopefully I'll gain some range of motion with the infection gone!   If not, I'll need another excuse.  Either way, I've sought out professional help with my root canal (my first) and should do the same with my golf swing!

Might have been the best round of the year so far. Normally, one can shoot low here, but doing so from the tips (7202 yards), was still a feat. 9/13 fairways hit, 13/18 GIR, 31 putts, (and a chip in for birdie on 18), that will get 'er done.

May Grey has given way to June Gloom here in San Diego. Overcast and drizzling this morning.  Sand was a challenge as it was wet and packed. Fairways and greens are in excellent shape. Putter and short game really kept me in it today. Really digging my new Vokeys.

Ok sports fans, new driver. I pulled the trigger on the Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond. I purchased the 8 degree loft, 1 degree flat setting with the HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX in stiff at 60 grams cut down .25. My goodness what a driver! Just like the irons!! First drive was 339 with a slight draw over the short par 4! I only missed one fairway today!! Had there been better putting this day would have beat yesterday! However, after the 69, 68 and 72 the handicap dropped through the floor!!!

Another round  I won’t forget soon.  46-35. 11 over on the front and 1 under on the back.  It was the worst of nines and the best of nines to paraphrase Dickens.  

My drive on #1 a 429 par 4 goes 291.  I am in the middle of the fairway hitting to a green light flagstick from 138 with PW in my hand and get down in 7 more from there for 8.  My drive on 2 hits a tree and drops straight down but I am stymied in big roots and have to take an unplayable.  I am still forced to chip out from where I can drop and make triple.   So I’m 7 over after 2.  I don’t make par until 7 and par 8 and 9 and make the turn in 46, 11 over, despite having only 14 putts.
 

 I par 10, birdie 11, bogey par 3  12th after a fat 6iron from 182 which left me 35 yards short.  I make birdie on the # 1 handicap 13th and eagle the 14th 363 par 4 with a 287 drive  and 56 degree, one hop in the hole. Bogey 15 with my only 3 putt in the last 4 rounds. Bogey 16 and par in for 35, 1 under for the back with only 12 putts.

Stone Creek was my home course for several years (a few years after it opened).  I really enjoyed that course.

Nice score Jamie... even with a few wayward drivers and a cold putter!  Sounds like a lot of things went right.

Played amazing, finally feel like the winter rust is coming off. I have spent a lot of time over the last week working on my chipping and wedge game from under 100 yards in and it made a big difference today. I put several chips to tap in range and had 2 approach shots within 5 feet for birdies. I also rolled in about a 25 footer for birdie, which is always an unexpected bonus. All in all, I am getting close to being tournament ready, which first one is next week on June 7th!

Out of sorts all day, some excellent shots only 2 or 3 complete holes. I think I was rusty.
