Congratulations, chosen testers!

I am anxious to read about your experiences as much as I am looking forward to getting my first pair of Sqairz Speed Bold out on the course.

My experiences so far:

1) the first pair was ordered using the same size as my current FootJoy's.  I was a bit hesitant as the FJ's were just a bit on the tight side in the toes.  With the selling point of the larger toe box, I ordered a pair of 12 Speed Bolds.  Sadly, they were too tight.

Customer service was very responsive to my inquiry (order 13's or get a shoe stretcher) and recommended going up a size.

2) Second pair arrived, fit great!  Before I took them to the course, I tried them in my simulator.  Felt great!  But... I noticed something on the floor.  One of the spikes had popped out.  No luck getting it to stay in as the little tabs on the spike shaft appear to have been weak or malformed.  Only 1 tab of the apparent 3 is remaining.

I proceeded with a back and forth with the online chat for customer service/sales, trying to get a new spike or set of spikes.  I am hopeful my fully descriptive email earlier this morning will explain the situation more clearly, resulting in some new spikes being shipped quickly, and allowing me take these to the course!

Congratulations to all the chosen. I’ll be curious to see the weather conditions each of y’all play in and how breathable the shoes are. I’m in Central Texas and we’re already in the 90’s so breathable shoes are worth every penny not to mention cushioning. Our fairways tend to be pretty firm and can wreck ankles and knees if you’re a walker. Good luck guys.

Congratulations testers! Very interested to hear your reviews. I'd really like to hear if they're claims of the gained yardage is true. I'm still rocking my Oakley golf shoes that are roughly 12 years old. I did go about 5 years without playing golf in that span. I use to only ride but now I almost exclusively walk and they're not the most comfortable walking shoe.

Congratulations testers !

I was very tempted by these last season, and ended up getting a pair over the winter and have been playing them this season.  I was tempted to sign up to get a chance at a 2nd pair, but decided not to.  That's all I'll hint at for now as for my thoughts on them, and will be interested to hear what all of the testers think.  Besides, I would not consider myself a golf shoe expert by any means.

I hadn't seen that about lining up your putts.  I will look into that claim and see.  I assume with a square toe you can line it up better but I don't keep my feet straight, my toes are open a little so I don't know that it will work for me.

@BobW - thanks for giving the MGS family the opportunity to prove the Sqairz design. As a transmet amputee (motorcycle wreck in 2016 took all the toes on the left foot and included split skin grafts to replace the devolved skin), I am looking to hear what the testers say about feel, stability, playability.  All that to say I don’t have great lateral stability in the left foot and hope the test will provide key insights.  Thanks again sir for allowing you product come under the MGS spyglass!

I posted my initial impressions of the shoes and you can find that link at the top of the page.  Over all the shoes feel great. 

I didn't go into the details within the review but I have had a chance to wear them during a practice session at the range and for 9 holes with a cart.  I don't have any data yet as the intent was just to try them out, break them in and get initial impressions.  The initial feel from the shoes is very positive, I can feel the difference in stability from my adidas and the Sqairz and the Sqairz are very good.

Also, I am not going to win any awards for my commentary, but I have included a couple of videos. One is of me opening the box and the other is of the initial thoughts after trying the shoes on for the first time.
