I had the absolute best round of my life. I played so well on the first 18 me and my two buddies played another 9 to which I also did really well. I broke 80 today with some blemishes on the card as well so I know it could’ve been better. I drove a 300 yd par 4 green and lipped out the eagle putt. I have never played this course before either so it was even better shooting blind. I played smart golf and took medicine when I needed to. I had to recover quite often but was usually only just off the fairway. I can’t post it but the other 9 I also played was +2. I might have to go back next week and at least play the other 9 to post that as well.

Best score to par I've ever had. Course was short but lot of dog legs so you couldn't go driver off tee. Had one bad hole all day and it was more so drive went way long which put me in the junk and couldn't scramble well. Overall great round so I am happy with it.

Visiting Bend, Oregon and played River's Edge Golf Course today. The front nine was longer that the back and the greens were on the small size. Over all played well on the back except two shots. Very happy with the score.

Par 62 course,   35-43, 2 dbls and a triple in 3 of the Last 4 holes coming in. Didn’t even think about measuring a drive till this morning and that’s just a bit to late. 
 

nice round with my wife who never walks more than 9 holes. This is an easy walk and she thought she could handle it. She did fine but her feet started to get sore. She finished all 18 and we had beers after.

Wow this round was a rollercoaster! Not only was it 100 degrees out but I had just got out of the car after 3 hours driving across the state. I wasn’t sure today would be a score I wanted to share with anyone. I ended up having enough time to get loose on the range and roll a couple putts before teeing off though, and that helped a ton. 
 

I birdied the long par 5 hole number 1 and was off to the races. Through 4 holes (possibly the toughest 4 hole stretch on the course) I was even and then proceeded to shoot a + 3 on the front for my lowest ever nine hole score of 37. the back nine wasn’t quite as friendly, but I really hit my driver well and am starting to see gradual distance increases each week. As my head pro always says “the more you practice, the luckier you get”

Nine shots under your handicap and a 330 yard drive is some very strong golf!

41/47 Another terrible day with the driver and a mediocre putting performance. I squandered scoring chances on every par 5 on a relatively short course by losing a ball. The first round of the year in the +100F weather and the last 6 holes is where I definitely lost steam. Stay hydrated out there! On to the next one...

Was that the Stafford Country Club just east of Batavia, NY?  My late father in law was a member there for more than 40 years.

Stafford CC is just east of Batavia NY in Stafford NY just off Rt 5.  The Head Pro and his wife are friends of mine and their kids also work the country club

Yes, Stafford C.C. -- my phone "corrected" my original post to change Stafford to Stanford (I fixed it now).  I grew up in Lockport and lived in Batavia for a few years (my ex-wife is from Batavia, and still lives just outside of that town), and my 53 year old son has lived in Batavia for about 10-12 years.

I great week of scoring... both in quantity, and quality.  116 total scores and 69 scores at Net Even par or Better.

Low Net Score

This week, we had some seriously low net scores.  Amazingly low.  Like... once in a lifetime rounds!!!

The lowest was carded by @tommyb1683 with his round of gross 78 / net 59 at Apple Greens.  WOW!!!  12 under par Net!

It really was a once in a lifetime feeling too.  It was my lowest score ever. I refused to talk to my buddies about it during the round for fear of messing it up. lol. I hope I can repeat it though. Maybe I can give credit to my super speed training cause I’m hitting better drives now and that was my biggest issue. Great week guys. I hope I’m not at the bottom again next week haha.
