He will be there but he won't be playing. Just selling his gear like in years past. He will be parked outside the Windsor Jewelers at 2635 Washington Road in Augusta during Masters week.

He'll be playing in the Hootie Monday after the Masters tournament in Myrtle Beach along with Furyk, Dustin, Kristy, a bunch of other pros and some "celebrities", a lot of whom are musicians not familiar to me.

Daly is a crowd favorite.

Sad but true. Has to be a better way to make a living, but JD like's the easy way. Not sure why anyone would pay $40 for a tee shirt with JD on it, but to each his own I guess.

I'd pay for an autographed can coozie or something.

Lion driver headcover with his signature and a photo with him would rule.

I'd even bring the tall cans. :D

I bet he will get more media attention then some other guys that actually play... If he is trying to get people to recognize the new him, he is definitely getting the attention...

Wow. I was flipping through the channels tonight, and his GC show came on. My wife asked me if he was a golfer... MY WIFE, who has lived with a golf obsessed freak for 19 years, has to ask me if JD is a golfer. He must really need the scratch.

I guess there's a couple ways to look at this, you can bash the guy for what he's done in his life and belittle him for what he's doing now. But it's quite obvious to me john walks to a beat of his own drum. who am I to question whether this is the proper or improper way for john to make his money when he can't make a cut or get an invite. If he's not hurting anyone and hopefully he's not hurting himself anymore, atleast he's not sitting around a wallowing in his own self pity. He making money the way he knows how, at least he's trying something. Who am I to judge? I just wish him the best and hopefully someday he can find that game he once possessed. The guy was given a God given talent and who's to say he doesn't wake up one day and the light clicks and so does his putter! All I can say is good luck John Daly. He sure makes life interesting.

Bob, do you watch that tournament? I assume it is a lot more laid back, fun, players having fun, interacting with the fans. I have always wanted to come down and watch it.

My wife and I always attend, John. It's about the only tournament we have left down here.

It's not the most exciting event you'll ever attend but it is pretty laid back and the pros and celebs are friendly for the most part. Gary Valentine is a hoot! Daly has been sober the past couple of years which is nice. I got no enjoyment seeing him shytfaced in bare feet hitting drives off beer cans. I have never seen him refuse a request for his autograph either.

The tournament has a website which indicates who is playing.

Daly will have his media attention... Especially since "Being John Daly" on Golf Channel is getting its viewers..... It's sad to see a man who is a Major Championship winner have such a friggin crazy life. If any of you watch it, (and i'm assuming you do)... It is quite sad to watch a man who has gone through so much... It pains me to see the images of him walking the course and shivering/shaking away the hangovers, etc from all the booze. he has been through quite a lot.

I still like the guy, I hope he somehow returns to competitive form, because the tour does need him and his huge base of fans.
