Good description: always gets in the air like hybrid, but hot face makes distance = to fairway metal of same loft (or more if honest about average taking into account bad misses with fairway woods). Also don’t find that i have to worry about the wide left hybrid miss.

My new 19 degree gets here Tuesday and I can't wait! I've been describing it as easy distance ever since trying it last weekend.

I was debating the Mizuno S23 but ended up ordering an Edison 55 degree wedge. Can't wait to get it.

Nice. I have two Evnroll putters. An ER7, which is my gamer, and an ER11v. Absolutely love the feel of the ER7.

So yesterday when to ye ol' DSG, picked up 2 dozen MaxFli SoftFli, a 5 pack of Martini Tees, a one size fits all golf glove, a hat clip for two Syracuse ball markers, and then went to a local shop and picked up a golf calendar card for 2023... but not for me, for a donation basket to one of my wife's coworker's benefits for their child battling cancer. It's a different spend but it felt good just the same. Going to add from my personal stash a Tiger Wood Funko still in box and a golf ball ice cube mold. 

A good reminder that while we all want things to go well, there are those who need help, so find the ways you can to help those you know, be it monetarily, spiritually, emotionally, etc.

So *finally* booked an iron fitting .. at Club Champion, vs a top rated local independent shop .. only cuz I'd like to try the new PXGs.

FYI current promo "100birdie" until 5/18 for a $100 full bag fitting or a $50 any other fitting - but *IF* you make a purchase from them......

Well the newest club in the family just came in. Couldn’t pass up the deal they are currently on so wanted to pick up the Grandsport to compliment my SuperNova I currently game.
 

The Grandsport game with the KBS Tour 120 shaft with the SuperStroke grip unfortunately so will be ordering a KBS CT Tour and getting a Lamkin Sinkfit for it so there isn’t any variables between the two besides the heads

The C-Tapers are a little too stiff, and heavy, for me too.  I could hit them sometimes, but I also got a nasty draw frequently and hit too may toppers.  (Most likely user error, but let's not go too far to there right now.)   Fortunately, the fitting specs for the Miuras are exactly the same as my Mizunos (according to my CC fitter who also has a set of CB57s), so I am going to have confidence in reshafting the Miuras into the same KBS Tour Lite shafts I got fitted for early spring for the MP223s.  And then I am going to have a really tough choice to make, I hope/fear.

FYI- According to the Golf Pride website- it's the core size. The weight of the MCC Plus 4 Align Midsize is 67g, the Align Standard is 53g

The Non-Align +4 is 66g with the Standard at 52g

That would be my temptation too when it comes to the Cobra putters, I just love the Stroke Lab shaft and might have to get it put into the Cobra if it wins out.

I could hit 'em- just way too low of a trajectory for my liking. The Lites were really nice though (I had those in my Apex 21s). But according to my latest fitting (for the Paradyms). I had a choice between the KBS Tour Lites(S), the Nippon 120(S), Nippon 105(X) and the Project X Rifle 105 Tour Flighted(S). It was a really rough choice. But after a lot of thought(and a BUNCH of time in the bay), I'm sure I made the right choice(for me). I love the flight/descent/distance/control. The only thing that's taken a little getting used to is that the 105s spin a little less than the others, but I have no problems with holding greens.

I’m glad I am not the only one that found the C-Tapers had a lower ball flight. I suppose KBS knows what they are talking about when it comes to shafts. It was one reason I went with C-Taper Lites in the irons and C-Tapers in the wedges, that way I could flight my wedges better.

I don't even know what kind of shaft is in my current Taylormade Spider Tour Platinum, so I am pretty excited to have that KBS putter shaft in there. Might not be anything too special, but I still find it cool!

How about an update on the Mizuno 223's?

Curious actually, as I have an opportunity to get a set to "play around" with from a friend, if I choose to do so.

SWMBO had hip replacement surgery about 10 days ago, so between work, and then tending to her needs, along with the cold, damp April weather here, haven't been out to play, been to the range a few times, and practice putting green at a course I can walk to from home a few times, and I didn't want to take him up on his offer not knowing how long it may be until I can get some real course time in.

Getting better on a daily basis, no longer in pain, surgical pain different that what she experienced prior, and that is going away. Physical therapy for her starts in a week or so, but so far she is very glad she had it performed.

Thank you Jason for the wishes, and I hope your wife both enjoyed her birthday, and gets her health fully restored.
