mbrodeur86 379
I still think it's BS this ball is not available to Canadians (can't even get them to ship it here, despite my phone call and being very charming). Golf equipment retail in this country is a freaking joke. Every club is at least $100 more than it is in the US, if it's even available here. Total bullshit they won't ship the Ksig here, the only ball I can order at Costco is a Polara!!! Rant over. This ball sounds awesome, and it seems like something that will really help the consumer in the long run because it could force OEM's to re-evaluate their price points. If Costco can sell this ball at the price they do, those guys need to take a look at their production capabilities and techniques in order to compete. But Canadians will still pay $65 for a pack of 12 Pro V1's. Because Canada. I hope Trump wins (okay, no I don't....I didn't mean that, sorry) As a fellow Canuck, I concur. 1 Quote DRIVER: ST190, 10.5*, Fujikura Atmos Black Tour Spec 65g, Stiff flex, Golf Pride CP2 Wrap, midsize HYBRIDS: Pro 2 hybrid 16*, Aldila Tour Red 75g, Stiff, Superstroke TX1 Midsize grip JPX 850 hybrid 19*, UST Proforce V2 85g, Stiff, Superstroke TX1 Midsize grip IRONS: King Forged Tour 4i-pw, KBS FLT, shafts, stiff, Superstroke TX1 Midsize grips WEDGES: 50, 55, 60 degree wedges with Genius 12 stiff flex, Superstroke TX1 Midsize grips PUTTER: O-Works Marksman 33.5", Superstroke 1.0 Flatso grip w/ 50g counter core BALL: Tour B X BAG: Cirrus Golf Bag Shoes: Skechers Hexgo Control Shoes

PlaidJacket 7,725
I did the same thing. Same price except the free shipping deal is over. The last thing I need is more golf balls.... of any brand. But I just can't pass this deal up. I probably gave away half of my first purchases and I'll give some of these away as well. My total ball cost this time is $1.55/ball vs $1.43/ball before. Can't beat it. 1 Quote My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour
PlaidJacket 7,725
I commented in another Kirkland post this morning that I made purchase today. Without the free shipping that was previously offered my per ball cost went from $1.43 to $1.55. Horrors. PlaidJacket 7,725
Hold your horses everyone... I just got found a super deal on PV1's through World Wide Golf. They have a fantastic sale going on. You can get a dozen new PV1's for only $39.99 or two dozen for $86.97 including shipping. That's only $3.62/ball. Wow! What a deal. Why play some old warehouse brand ball when you can play what the pros play? 1 Quote My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour

PlaidJacket 7,725
Got my order in early this morning. Hope it's fulfilled. Maybe this time I won't give so many of them away. Heh! Passing thought: Does anyone think this for real? I mean.... yes the ball is very good as I think most of us agree. Do you think this will cause any of the big boys to lower prices? Who's buying all these Kirkland's? Just us here on MGS and the guys over at GolfWRX? Wonder that Dean Snell thinks? 2 Quote My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour

chisag 11,771
... Not a chance the Big Boys will lower their prices. I was talking with the Marketing VP at Srixon when the Z Star was selling for $39.99 and said they had a chance to really cut into the others selling for $45. I said I am promoting the Z Star and have never promoted a golf ball in my reviews because I like to stay neutral and not promote one product over another. But told him it was my favorite ball at any price so promoting it at under $40 was a service to my readers. ... He sheepishly told me they were raising the price to $44.99. I said they will lose a ton of potential customers that may buy a sub $40 ball instead of a ProV1 and that's how word of mouth starts, but they wont try a Z Star over the ProV1 at a similar price. This was driven by the sales division of course and he was not happy about it. Turns out the bean counters figured the amount of current users as well as potential future users they would lose would be offset by the increased profits in sales. Analytics... sigh.... When I spoke to him a year later it turns out the bean counters were wrong but rolling the price back to $39.99 would signal a problem to buyers, especially independent golf stores worldwide. Instead, they take their inventory at the end of the season and sell them 2 for $60. Still TWICE the price of the KS. So it will be interesting to see if Kirkland increases the price since they are not in the golf ball business, and if so, by how much? 2 Quote Driver: TaylorMade SIM Max ...
