Thanks to all that posted about electric.  I had looked at the Ego, and almost bought one before mowing season began, but don't know anyone with one.   Online reviews are good.  Checking the specs, the Ego is not any lighter than a gas mower but the vibration should be less.  I think it would be close as to whether the battery would last.

We have a neighbor Lady who cuts her grass w the Ego electric. She seems to be OK W it.

When I was working, I had a lawn service at my old house from 2005 to 2014.  It started out at $15/week.  When I retired, the cost was $40/week.  I decided I had time to mow and save money.  
I have no idea what it would cost today, but I'm sure that it's more that $50/week, and if I were in business to cut lawns, I would charge $80/week to cut mine!!.

I’m figuring $80/month is OK considering the heat and humidity most of the months.
I was paying $65 when he was cutting w the rider but lawn didn’t look good.

I would pay $80/month, but it's an expensive service here.  Can't really use a rider on my lawn.

We moved last December.  I think we had more lawn at our old house, but it takes longer to mow at our new house.  Concrete curbing around all of it, and it's not all straight.  Looks real nice when mowed, but a pain to maneuver in spots.  Besides being heavy she doesn't like the vibration on her hands; arthritis and carpel tunnel.

You could always have a spare battery in the charger. When the mower started to run low, just swap out the battery.

The battery cost the same as a regular lawnmower!!  

I suppose I could just wait until the battery is charged to finish mowing.

MD, battery prices bought single are ridiculous. That’s one reason I have all Ryobi lawn power tools so I can mix-match batteries.

A lot of my lawn and power tools are also Ryobi based just for that reason.

I keep driving past this on my drive to work so I had to stop. Looks good from a distance but up close there is rust and paint problems not worth the 13000 they are asking for it, but I now have an idea of what I keep looking at. I really like the colors of it.

Haven't had much time for golf, Superswing, or anything else. End of last week we started packing, doing  multiple trips to goodwill, etc getting ready for our move. We're finally in our new place as of Monday night and now even more fun unpacking and figuring out where to put all the stuff we've accumulated but don't necessarily need. My wife and I are taking a break today to head over to Windmill Golf Center for a fitting. Irons for me and a driver fitting for her.

Congratulations!!  That pic looks very familiar; we moved into our new house last December.  I still can't find "stuff".

My wife has moved several times (apartments in the 20s) I luckily have only had to do this twice in my life (although packing up for deployments is kind of like moving?) I have 1 more of these in me to our "forever home" in the next couple years....Not looking forward to that lol

If the price was better and there wasn't rust issues i would consider it because it's a nice truck and the top comes off which would be a nice summer truck for driving around. It was lowish miles especially for a 1970.

Was the same when I moved back to MA from  San Diego, my stuff came I think about 3 weeks after I was home. I cant imagine some of the folks that are overseas that have to move it back how long they have to wait

This is our 17th move in 51 years. Seems like the older you get the tougher it gets. Told my wife for every new piece of clothing she gets - she has to throw out /give away three.

During this pandemic SWMBO and I are taking cart rides thru different neighborhoods. Of course we found a house that we both REALLY liked. We almost pulled the trigger on it but after thinking it over we decided on staying where we are. Moving is just tooo stressful for us and we are happy where we are.
Sure was a nice house though.....

I have never been a car guy.  It wasn't my thing and frankly, I just hate depreciable assets.  That said...anyone else impressed and intrigued with the new Bronco line?  I showed my wife and to my surprise she said super cool.  It was nice to see them priced for mere mortals as well.  When a Tahoe costs $60 grand, a $38,000 4 door Bronco looks like a steal.

I’m not a big Ford guy BUT I’ve always liked the Bronco line ever since late m 1960’s thru 1970’s during my hunting/fishing years. If SWMBO would want one I’d definitely grab one.

One of my friends had a mid 1960’s International Scout. I loved that little SUV but it was a rust bucket. Had a piece of plywood over passenger wheel well to keep mud/water out.
I drifted a bit, yes I do like the new Bronco.

The moving part is tough, however being in a new place is awesome.
