Umm, what? Titleist seems to be going against its brand identity lately. I personally don't like flat bill hats, and the people that do, would be more inclined to gravitate toward Cobra.

Although, all that said, for a flat bill hat, they look pretty good.

I generally agree with you, but there's always been something about the way Charlie Hoffman pulls his off.   Maybe it was when he had the surfer dude haircut it was a bitter fit.   But yeah, not sure I could make it work for me.

Yay more Tour Rope, boo Flat Bill. I can't pull Flat Bill off, but I love the tour rope look, it's like a cool belt for your hat. Torn on this offering.

Here's a tip for everyone, the bill still bends

Correct if you do it redneck style by putting it in a qt Ball Mason jar. If one does not have any---- me or one of the Georgia Contingent can send you one no product included though

They were showing those over on WRX the other night. Man it was funny on the comments. The flat bill guys did not like the rope and the old rope guys like me did not like the flat bill. I am going to get one when this storm passes and do exactly like I told Theoo put the bill in a QT Mason jar and let it sit a night or so. Ha Ha will piss off both sides of the tracks with that one. What is funny the other thing is I no longer play a Titleist ball or carry any Titleist clubs unless I have the rusty Scotty in the bag. LOL the bag a early Ping Hoofer and not a Ping Club in it. That hat may look good Redneck style with my Blues Brothers shades and cigar though. Personally I like it even with the flat bill

Those pics made me laugh because at a certain age you out grow flat bill hats lmao. Love the effort though because Titleist is trying to market to a younger crowd which in turn will grow the game. Pretty cool but I doubt they will sell.

Never have owned a flat billed hat per say. Some folks will buy them and not admit it on open forum because it is Titleist after all. Seriously hope they do ok with those because the folks at Titleist have families to feed too. But if they don't they will be on the reduced isle or on Amazon cheap and us Southern guys and one guy from the Columbus OH area know how to modify them

Sooooo....let me get this straight.  You want me to buy a hat with a OEM logo on it?  Seems to me that if Titleist wants me to wear their brand, they need to be coughing up some $$$ to me.  Otherwise, I've got about 100 non-OEM hats to choose from at the homestead that fit just fine.

I have several plus visors but never bought one per say cash. Most of the  Titleist stuff I got when I was on a deal with Titleist when we had the golf store and played the minis some. Others I got for free a late friend of mine was I guess you could say a hat and visor ho. Everywhere he went he got a hat or visor. When he passed his wife gave me about 50 or 60 hats and visors unopened in the plastic. Everything from Addias to Ping. Mostly now days I wear a Pukka floppy hat that the GM at a course below me gave me or one of my straw wide brimmed hats from Goodwill at $1 each.

Funny hat story and shows you I do not give 2 rips about being "golfing correct" brand wise. I found a TM R-5 hat at Goodwill mesh style ball cap brand new in the plastic for $1 one day. Heck yes I bought it. Was wearing it on the range one day and these 2 tourist golfers showed up dressed to the 9s looking like they just stepped off the TM Tour Van I mean hats staff bags and all. I basically had the clubs in my signature in a raggedy old Titleist Stand bag. One of the guys looks over his nose at me and comments "R-5 man that is OLD !" I did not bat an eye told him yeah you think that R-5 is old look at those 2 V-Steel fairway woods in my bag and if you think they are old check out my Macgregor irons. They looked shocked. The V-Steel 7 wood I have owned darn near 15 years now and is on it's 3rd shaft due to me getting old

This is the shift of Major OEM's listening to their customers. The Charley Hoffman green mesh SnapBack was one example of the public begging them to make this. They followed suit.

Titleist has been for so long the band that plays whatever they want and wouldn't ever take a request.

If this is the trend then I hope hope hope that there is an x5 welded flow neck in the works.

They need to bring ALL of Rafa's hats to public sale. I don't really wear hats, but that man has some serious style with his colors. I was a Titleist fanboy for many many years, I still like them a lot. Not sure what they'd have to do to earn me back... but it probably wouldn't be much.

I took my old DCI OS irons to the range a few days ago... if they didn't have a mile of offset I would put them bag in the bag. For a cast club, they were butterish.

Shouldn't have sold my 990's... ☹️

Seems like a contradiction in style, let alone mixing generations.  Something for everyone, I guess.

Not sure if anyone else has heard this yet or not, but I have been told that the new 720 irons (or whatever Titleist decides to call them) is set to release this August (2019). If so, I would totally expect to start seeing the announcements right before either the Masters or the recently moved PGA Championship. Anyone else have more info??

TITLEIST EQUIPMENT UPDATE: The Honda Classic

According to Darrell Survey, for the third time this season, Titleist achieved the feat of sweeping every major equipment category at a PGA TOUR event - this time it is The Honda Classic - and by looking at the counts, the choice is overwhelmingly clear.

From golf balls, to drivers, fairway and hybrids, and irons to wedges and putters, the Titleist brand is the overwhelming field favorite as the Tour moves from the west coast to the Florida swing.

      >  Titleist is the top choice in golf balls with 112 players in the field of 144 - that's 78 percent of the field and seven times the nearest competitor with 16.

      >  One out of every three drivers in the field is a Titleist with 48 (33%) in play this week - that's 16 more than the nearest competitor with 32.
      > The Titleist TS3 continues to be the most played single driver model on the PGA TOUR with 29, nearly double the next closest driver model with 15.
      > The Titleist TS3 is also the most played driver on the European Tour again this week with 29. That's 20 percent of the field playing that single model.

      > Titleist irons also accounted for nearly one-third of the field with 46 (32%) sets in play - 21 more sets than the nearest competitor.
      > The Titleist 718 MB (20) and the 718 AP2 (14) are the top two most played iron models this week.
      > Titleist Brand Ambassador Peter Malnati is playing the 718 AP2 Black irons (5-9) that were recently released. Malnati was shipped the irons to his home in Tennessee during his off week but never got a chance to practice with them because of inclement weather. It was the only set he brought with him to the Honda Classic and worked them into his bag this bag this week. He joins Cam Smith as the two Titleist players putting the new AP2 Black models in play.

      > More than half of all wedges in the field this week (220/55%) are of the Vokey Design variety. The nearest competitor has 60 wedges in play.

      > Scotty Cameron putters are the overwhelming field favorite this week with 54 (38%) in play, 14 more than the nearest competitor.
      > More players on the PGA TOUR rely upon Scotty Cameron putters than any other brand and tops the Tour in wins with 4 this season.

      > Titleist equipment counts at The Honda Classic vs. the Nearest Competitor (NC):

      GOLF BALLS:
      TITLEIST - 112 (78%)
      NC - 16 (11%)

      DRIVERS:
      TITLEIST - 48 (33%)
      NC - 32 (22%)

      FAIRWAYS:
      TITLEIST - 56 (31%)
      NC - 37 (20%)

      HYBRIDS:
      TITLEIST - 25 (39%)
      NC - 17 (27%)

      IRONS:
      TITLEIST - 46 (32%)
      NC - 25 (17%)

      WEDGES:
      TITLEIST - 220 (55%)
      NC - 60 (15%)

      PUTTERS:
      TITLEIST - 54 (38%)
      NC - 40 (28%)

This is a press release from adidas golf regarding it's 2019 adicross line.
CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 28, 2018) – For golfers, the game never stops. adidas is continuing to push the boundaries with adicross, the urban-inspired, non-traditional line that’s meant for golfers both on and off the course. Today, adidas unveiled the 2019 adicross line, highlighted by Primeknit material and new footwear specifically designed for wear-anywhere versatility. The new apparel will be available December 1, 2018 and footwear beginning February 1, 2019.   The spring/summer 2019 adicross apparel line differentiates itself by featuring select articles with adidas’ Primeknit material, a first in the game. Because of its seamless construction, the material wears flatter to the skin, features a lot of stretch, and has a look of a woven garment without losing its shape. These pieces are cool to the body, feature moisture-wicking fabric and will form for individual fit. Key articles include the adicross Primeknit Polo ($110), adicross Primeknit Sweatshirt ($200) and adicross Primeknit Anorak Hoodie ($180).   Other new additions to the adicross spring/summer 2019 line include:   adicross Piqué Polo ($80) Wider at the body with a straight silhouette Shaped hem, soft feel Unique golf print   No-show Transition Henley Shirt ($70) Three-button Henley collar Short sleeves No-show technology stops appearance of sweat before it gets to the surface   adicross Hybrid Shorts ($85) Stretchy fabric Front pockets, one back pocket Drawcord-adjustable elastic waist with zip fly   adicross favorites like the No-Show Transition Polo ($75), Henley Long sleeve ($80), Anorak Jacket ($120), Graphic and Big Logo Tees ($40), Five-Pocket Pants ($90) and shorts ($75), Flat bill hat ($30), and Oxford Shirt ($90), which now features mesh ribbed cuffs, will round out the apparel line.   Continuing to shake up the traditions of the game, the adicross line will also introduce new footwear: the adicross PPF and the Crossknit 3.0.   The latter is the latest rendition of the popular Crossknit franchise that was first introduced in 2016. Built on the same last as adidas’ Ultraboost running shoe, this version will feature a lace closure with reflective laces and internal lace loops, a lightweight water-repellant heathered textile upper and the spikeless Puremotion outsole. The Crossknit 3.0 ($150) available in three colorways (grey, blue, and black with green outsole) is designed for comfort utilizing BOOST™ cushioning without sacrificing traction, favored by players who are looking for something both comfortable and untraditional.   The adicross PPF ($90) is new to the adicross line, giving golfers another non-traditional spikeless footwear option for the course. The sneaker-like upper features leather, microfiber and textile materials to provide a breathable feel that’s also water-repellant. The Puremotion outsole features 169 strategically placed lugs for optimal traction and flexible Bounce midsole cushioning giving wearers a springy feel for wear-anywhere comfort.   Both the Crossknit 3.0 and adicross PPF will be available online at adidas.com and at select retailers worldwide beginning Feb. 1, 2019.   The entire adicross apparel line will be available online at adidas.com and at select retailers worldwide beginning Dec. 1.   Here are just a few images.  You can find more at the above links on the dates listed.
