Rylongshot89 Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 What's the oldest club in your bag or the club that you just can't take out? Mine is my TM r7 st 3 wood. Bought it brand new about 12-13 years ago. I know there is plenty of new technology out there but I still hit it just as far/consistently as I did day 1.
Guests Guest Delete Posted June 20, 2020 Guests Posted June 20, 2020 Ping G2 irons are my oldest. they are from 2005-6ish. I am not attached to them if something better comes along but, at the price I can afford stipulation keeps them in my bag.
elvis14 Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 I have a Ping G15 driver and 4-wood that are my oldest clubs. Until about 2 months ago it was my 2-ball putter but I finally replaced it. I haven't found anything that I hit so much better than those G-15's that warrant me spending the kind of $$ it'll cost to replace them. -elvis14, Hacker, Engineer, Dad, CG Camper, Co-Founder of From Your Neighbor

gavinski91 Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 I've got an old Northwestern steel-shafted 3-wood. No idea how old it is, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's as old as I am. I hit it cleanly maybe 25% of the time, so I often leave it in the bed of my truck so I'm not tempted to pull it out on the course. Would be nice to get a newer one, but I don't use 3-wood often enough to justify the cost. I must have jinxed myself....my G15 broke (shaft snapped about an inch up from the hosel). Now I have a decision to make: re-shaft the G15 or get something newer. I'm leaning towards newer..surely 10 years of technology will make a difference even for pretty bad golfer! -elvis14, Hacker, Engineer, Dad, CG Camper, Co-Founder of From Your Neighbor

thatjasonlee Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 My 18 degree Perfect Club. I think it was the original hybrid club to some degree. Being a 20+ handicapper, I always go back to it. I use it off the tee, in the rough, out of the fairway, just not for chipping. So it almost works exactly as advertised, and pretty good results too. For someone who can't hit a reliable driver, this club gives me more distance than teeing off with irons, but keeps the ball in play. I took it out a few times because I thought it was a little embarrassing of a club, but I always go back to it because it works.
