John Deere Classic - 2021

The kid in me always loves the John Deere Classic - celebrating it's 50th anniversary on the tour schedule. Some of the more recent advertisement displays are really creative.  Dylan Frittelli returns to defend his 2019 title against the "middle of the pack" field.  With The Open coming the following week, most of the big names are taking a break and prepping for that event.  TPC Deere Run is home to the 2010 round #1 59 turned in by Paul Goydos.... 59 is nuts!

With only 3 of my FTx crew participating, I'm going to need one or more of them to have an "out of body" tournament and all of them making the weekend .  My H2H this week is against one of the "big guns" and former FTx Champ, and now moderator .  I sure hope he'll not take the loss too harshly . I keep feeling like Brian Harman is due.  He's been playing exceptionally well this season and I'm going with him for the win.  Who are you picking?

That script dosen't work out well for my FTx players .  But, these low power ranked fields definitely increase the odds for first time winners.

I'll be looking but doubt I'll make a move or have the $$ to win the day.  Last week I went through a lot of change up scenarios only to come to the conclusion that the net result was 50/50 at best. If I can make the playoffs this year, I'll consider the season a success.  If I somehow win, it will be the equivalent of shooting a 59 .

Well, I had 5 starters this week and 3 of them WD and one didn't make the cut.  I still have one, but hate losing the points with the WDs.

I didn't watch any of it as I got hooked on the Senior Open.  I looked at the leaderboard a couple of times and knew he was hanging around... then quite surprised when I saw the final.  I picked him up for Michael Thompson a few weeks ago on my FTx team.
