Good, well afternoon I guess Spies. Yeah, I'm a little late getting my 'ola out to everyone. I was on the road at 8am this morning and didn't get to the hotel here in Atlanta till around 1pm. Then I popped into the data center and checked on a few things. Then off to Chick-fil-A for a late lunch. Oh, so good! I haven't had it in over a year and I had to get some today. It was only 2 blocks from the data center. I have a feeling I'll be eating lunch there each day I'm here, and probably some dinners too.

And I think your last statement was directed at @cnosil, not me - he just suffered through a major surgery and is now recovering .. and WILL BE (or else gawdammit!  ) rebuilding his strength and his game going into May!!!

 

A few years ago had the left hip replaced and later found out the right leg was then slightly shorter. Had a 2mm heel lft on that side but this new chiro switched me to 5mm .. and I feel like that's really helping.

 

Was curious about that also. My best guess = you touch those big buttons with the butt of your club to control or select options in the sim (ie don't need to use a keyboard or mouse, or touchscreen or whatever other input device is being used).

Difficult for me to post from my phone, hoping to get internet restrictions lifted at work so I could use computer again.

Either way you have it figured out, and looking forward to meeting in person in May.

Scores won’t matter with the fun factor it should turnout to be.

I was a Boy Scout!!  Went camping every summer (and one winter in the snow); cut myself with a pocket knife, and look how I turned out... sitting here looking at a tiny screen and typing this.

That's nothing!!  When I was 10 years old, I broke my right ankle.  My right leg has been 1/2" short ever since.  Last year I put a 1/2" lift in the heel of my golf shoes and my sneakers.  I think it has helped my low back pain.  Maybe I should have done it 30 years ago and I would have a better golf swing now!!

I did it. Used the air compressor method for the first time on a set. I decided to used one of each color pure grips since I got them during the going out of biz sale.

I am going on a journey. I'm a 4 hcp and my goal is to shoot under par at my home course. I've been close with my last couple rounds but stumbled down the last few holes. So my plan is to start from the front tees tomorrow and play those tees until I shoot under par. Then move back to the next tee and stay there until i break par. Repeating until I break par at the tips where I normally am. The theory is to be comfortable shooting low and being under par. I play 3-4 times a week so I'm hoping this doesn't take a long time. Thoughts on this plan? I'm also open to any other suggestions to help with the final push of breaking par.

Good morning everyone!

There's not much going on this morning, I went to the range yesterday and didn't quite a bit of time there and am now still groggy. I need for my brain to wake up and I'm hoping my coffee will give it the jump start out desperately needs. 

It's Friday and it's supposed to be a rainy weekend, so I'll get to catch up on some rest and take care of some things at the house.

I play from all the different tee boxes to switch things up.  It's a great way to gain confidence in shooting lower scores.

Good Friday morning all!

Got a nice run in yesterday, this warm weather we are having I feel the need to get out there everyday even if my legs start yelling at me. So hopefully going to get out there today. Have a hockey game tonight the kids want to go watch which should be fun. Kids might also have some friends over before that for some fun.  Weekend plans are pretty minimal but great weather so I am sure we will find something to do.

Coffee is made and kids are still asleep for a little while longer.  

Starting in the low 60's this morning and planning on getting a round in before a busy day of work related items that need attending to.

Good morning my esteemed friends.. It is Friday, May you use this  day to launch yourself into a memorable weekend. 
   I played well yesterday.. The Edison’s had two (2) marvelous shots and only one (1) semi-Ooops. The rest of the wedge shots were acceptable. I actually tried to focus on putting during the round. As someone stated recently, it is easy to develop bad golf habits. I have been leaving/ pushing most putts right. Noticed that my set-up and stroke were causing  me to open the putter face a tad or more. Started over correcting and burning left edge of the hole. Last couple of holes my putting looked like I had been on a golf course before. 
   Will get to have another go with the putter and Edison’s again today. Tee time again at 10:00 AM. Temperature will be in the 70’s for the entire round. 
    Tonight I will be going to a little celebratory event for a former Ancient Ager that because of recent life event(s) has given up golf. While divorced, he was the happiest most easy going of the group. Anyway, the life event was that he remarried a young woman the age of his 20 something granddaughter. My wife person and most of the female spouses of the Ancient Agers are boycotting the event. Most of the Ancient Agers are passing on going also out of fear of their wives. Me, I am already in trouble for my snarky insubordination remark from yesterday, so I am going to the party. Besides  I am suppose to give trying a full solid meal ago, might as well make the attempt in public. 
  I will readily admit that …. 

Again, may this Friday be the start of a great weekend.

The week feels to have flown by and there was never any mention of working on Saturday so my brain is already excited for the weekend. No solid weekend plans other than watching some of the Phoenix Open.

Very smart idea and I can’t stress enough how effective this is. I would do exactly this with the boys h/s golf team I coached. We would always have at least one practice round a week where I’d have them play 1 to 2 tees forward. 

I remember a few of my better players thought it was silly, then they would come in after 9 either at par, just over and occasionally just under … and talk about how it just gave them much more confidence in knowing they can go low and no freak out over it.

Good morning MGSpies from this urecognizable neck of the woods where the only ice pack is in my town from being over-wintered last month here in WNY where it is in the 40s still after a high of 54 yesterday expected again today.  Only one thing to do the early Community Call participants know was occasion for a round of February golf, unheard of outdoors here, with one of my favorite playing partners, and not because he works for the PGA HQ locally.  Arrived at the course not yet on the call here...

This is The Guy, hits driver 300+ usually from the tips... nice finish.

Low light twilight shot at the end of 9 where I had my last of many double bogies, wouldn't trade it for playing golf outdoors in the Buffalo area on February 8 

We are on again for another PGA REACH Foundation event tonight at Glen Oak, two days in a row with this positive energy powerhouse, can't wait for work to finish

Good morning spies! The week flew by for me and it is crazy to think that it's already Friday. No complaining here though. I get to go play golf tomorrow on the simulator which I'm more than ready for. Let's get through today and off to the weekend.

Morning spies. Came home yesterday to find the dryer quit.  Stripped the front of the cabinet, Broke out the multimeter hoping for a simple replacement part swap.  Nope!  Element coil split in the middle, causing all the little doodads to also burn out.(it is 16 years old)

So off to the local appliance place I went this morning. $180 later, I have the new setup, and will get that installed today. Hopefully it didn't damage the control board too!

Good morning Spies on a no commute, temperature record setting Friday from the Motor City.

Already been at computer waiting on some data systems to download the information I need to some presentation materials to be created today.

Time consuming and tedious but doing it from home office makes it tolerable.

Here we set a record for the WARMEST coldest overnight low temperature recorded, and will set a record HIGH later today when we break 56 degrees, although the forecast is saying low to mid 60's.

Hope that your day is the best it possibly can be, no matter what may be in your plans, and that something enjoyable makes up part of your day!

Looks awesome!  My workout will come later this morning.  Then taxes appt with accountant this aftersoon!  I might be playing more golf or I might not, we will see!

Good morning everyone. Feels great to have gotten out on the course yesterday. Not sure when the next opportunity will be since overnight lows will be in the 20s again here soon and will linger for a while. As long the snow stays away, I'll be fine with the colder temps. Was able to take some good video of my swing while playing yesterday and I thought I had made some progress on my early extension habit but alas, it's just as bad as ever. Will have to hit the garage sessions with more vigor over the next couple of weeks and continue to capture more video to monitor progress. Anyone have tips/tricks to work on weight shift and hip turn? I think that is really the bigger culprit in all of this. Happy Friday everyone. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Well greyish skies are back but then we're also getting the milder temps others are also seeing .. like +10 degrees! Have the urge to hit a few golf balls outside today so will have to look for an open range nearby.

And then some wine shopping for tomorrow's dinner with old friends.

Nothing like a 40mph breeze to humble you.

Roasted this drive yesterday..... 190yds.  Remove the wind and that shoulda ended up about 260 lol.

It was so bad it was affecting putting lol.

I deleted that round it was abnormally windy even for here.

Funny as all hell though.
