Good morning from a peacefully quiet sleeping house on this WNY Sunday.  Sky is chilly clear and air is still for what should be our last glimpse of summer for at least a few weeks according to forecast.   Hot tea this morning which is my weekend fare for home time with thoughts of a hot tee the next time I play  hope golf is a part of your day.

I am excited for the day. We will be going to church, and then this afternoon, my son and I are playing 9 holes. The weather is going to be incredible - high of 71, very light wind (unusual for this part of Texas). I hope you all have a great Sunday.

Good Morning,

Just finished coffee, Lincoln fetch and morning reading (Dale Brown Eagle Station). Working on some Track invitational and D-6 Relay organizing. Looking out the window at the gloomy sky, hoping that the pair of Cardinals come back to perch on the apple tree that is starting to Bloom. Divine Mercy Mass at 10:30 followed by a brunch in the church hall that Kelly and a few other people organized. Have a great day!

Surprised my wife with an empty house for our anniversary weekend (kiddos were at the grandparents) and made her brunch this morning: frosted PB & banana doughnuts and goat cheese / artichoke shashuka!

Now off to a couples massage!

Good morning everyone! I'm a little late to this thread this morning. After arriving home late from my round yesterday, I didn't go to bed until after 11. I'm not used to seeing that time of night anymore.

It's a pleasantly cool morning with signs of rain that came through last night. I'm currently drinking coffee and keeping the animals company on the couch. I sometimes don't think they sleep through the night because they're passed out and I'm listening to the gentle snoring of our pug, Mercy.

Good morning spies! Weather is taking a massive downturn for at least a week starting today here in Wisconsin, and we are looking at a potential, GULP, 5” of snow tomorrow  (It was 78 and sunny yesterday). Made some cinnamon bread French toast for breakfast today which was a hit, and we are taking the boys to the Mario Bros. movie for a matinee showing at 11:25 (I SWEAR we are taking them to see it, NOT so I can see it ). 
 

Hope everyone else has a better weather forecast for the coming week and will get some golf in for me. Busy couple weeks coming for us anyways with my oldest turning 6 soon, so if we are going to be gone on some weekends I’d rather it be poor golfing weather anyways!

GM all, 10 minutes late of AM, but I am nursing a strange injury from yesterday.

Keep in mind earlier in the week I had a golf ball bounce off the back of my head with no after effects. Not even a lump back there which I thought would be a definite. Really dodged a bullet (pun intended, the old dude who hit me did not hit bullets ) I think the snapback of my hat took the hit and my last haircut being months ago helped for padding.

So escaped that very dangerous scenario unscathed then yesterday I hit my 52° and jumped back in the golf cart to pull forward to the next tee box. I was still carrying the wedge while driving. Somehow when I parked and hopped out I hit my wedge directly on the toe of the club, directly on the bone on the side of my ankle. Hard. The kind of injury you don't notice, then 2 holes later you're limping, end of the round it's finally painful. Now the next morning I'm sitting with ice on it.

I will say, I played very well after the limp started. I was playing slow by definition and taking my time analyzing but also moving with purpose as I wanted to get done. There was a cocky strut feeling, like I was Snoop Dogg gangsta walking around making pars. 

I might start playing all my golf with a pimp limp.

I don’t want to overshare, but admittedly the last few months haven’t been my best; I was engaged and late last year things didn’t work out. But making my way back to this forum and all of you has helped more than I care to admit. This truly is a fantastic community of genuine people who love a beautiful game, and I’m grateful for it. Hey…whatever works!

A similar thing happened to me on a recent golf trip - I was walking behind my partner on the green and he was swinging his mallet putter while walking backwards. Of course he ran right into me, proceeding to slam the mallet directly into my shin.  Almost a minute later, I had a golf ball sized bulge coming out of my shin but felt no pain. I proceeded to shoot mid-80s…so
