I'll just post my best score - yesterday at Scepter Osprey/Falcon course; an 83 (gross). Course hcp was 17, one birdie and longest drive was 222. Closest to the pin was 3 feet and made the putt for a natural birdie.

@Golfspy_TCB I see you have a net birdie criteria. Should I just scan the scorecard with the strokes to show natural birdies? Obviously I didn't include net birdies above = not sure how you wanted to handle it.

I am scheduled to play 3/19, Pumpkin Ridge Ghost Creek. Long term weather looks like it should be a go. If someone is looking for a partner. I haven't really played a full round Thanksgiving. I have been to the range a few times but most recently dealing with a back issue. I did get to the range the other day and other than being out of golf shape, it went ok. Current handicap is 15.2. I'm hoping to break 100, My course handicap is 18 according to GHIN.

Is your group full?  I have something booked at Glendoveer that afternoon, but if you have a spot open I'll change my plans.  Would love to get some revenge at Ghost Creek.  I also have two rounds booked.  One with @richk9holes, but the other is open.

Happy to have you guys post two team scores - so feel free @tony@CIC 🙂

Yes, for net birdies, it would be the number of net birdies (hole by hole) for you, added to the same for your partner.

By the way... nice 3 foot approach and birdie 🙂

Not to get too much into the weeks - do you just want a net birdie number or should we scan the scorecard to show the detail hole by hole. I'm fine either way since I have to do the math hole by hole.

Also do we send you separate info or combined?

Do we send you our best games or all games during the week?

no need to scan the scorecard (unless you want to), you can just post the number - we trust you 🙂 .

The way others have done it, is to tag certain rounds for a specific team ( @Golf2Much can talk through his approach as he has a couple of different teams he has entered).  Since you and Foz may be each other's teammates for more than one team score... I would say use FIFO (first in first out) to match them up.  But ultimately you are managing which score you turn in for the tournament round... so it really is up to you.

You can send your scores in seperate to your partner (different posts in the thread) but if you can, comment on which partner score you want to match that posted score with.  That will make it easier on Norm ... I've already made his job much harder than it should be 😉

All good questions Tony.

@tony@CIC , right now on my spreadsheet I have you both your teams listed "Old Geasers 1" and "Old Geasers 2".  I know very scientific!  It's just like Grumpy Old Men (and I'm one) and it's sequel.   Instead of ice fishing, we're golfing.  I won't comment about drinking beer and chasing women part of the film.

I initially modified the Turkey Trot Tournament spreadsheet for this tournament with hole by hole entry.  However, I quickly realized that because it's 2 ball total score, that level of detail didn't matter.  Total gross score, net score, how many over/under par, net birdies or better, closest to the pin and longest drive should work just fine.

At the end of the day I'll look at all the posted scores, enter them into my spreadsheet and send it off to @Golfspy_TCB so he can update the leaderboard the next day if there are any changes.

Best of luck all.  For those who have yet to enter and/or do not have a partner.  Drop a response here.  It's fun competing and getting to know other forum members.

@tony@CIC, your round already was added to @fozcycle's best of two rounds under the "Old Geasers" team name.  The only line item I didn't have until for you is the net birdies or better (10 in total is awesome).  I have a second "Old Geasers 2" that I have on the spreadsheet waiting for your next round.  If you want to change the name, just let me know.

I'll update the spreadsheet with your net birdies or better number and send it off later tonight.

Great round!!!

I've had a couple get close to the green this past week. Been a while since I actually drove one though.

@tony@CIC, I have it included in last night's update to our fearless leader.  Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to update the standings on the site.  As a team, I have you two with 13 net birdies or better.   Great shooting!

Alright! So got washed out last Friday, but I've got a time booked for tomorrow morning with a buddy, so I'll need a partner (still) - @GolfSpy_BOS were you able to get a round in?  I think we talked early on about teaming up, but if it's a no-go your way, no problem.

Playing a par-61 (where my index is around 9), and it's truly not a hard course - when I'm on 🙂 When I'm off, it's a nightmare full of sneaky-hard par-3s (three over 180 yards, three under 80 yards with severe elevation changes), and two 450+-yard par-4s.  I kind of love it, to be honest 🙂

I'll post my score, regardless, and if anyone needs a round, we can team up.

Driver - PXG 0811 XF - Gen 5, 9 degrees (+1 setting), Oban Devotion TR 65 04
3/5 Wood - Cobra LTDx Max (Blue Colorway)
Utility - Caley X01 Driving Iron (3 = 18*)
Irons (5-PW) - Caley 01T
Wedges (48, 52, 56, 60) - Indi Wedges FLX 48 / ATK 52, 56, 60
Putter - L.A.B. Directed Force 2.1 - 65*
Ball - Chrome Tour Triple-Track
