Had an average of 4 hours sleep each night Thursday through Sunday due to a family wedding.  Didn’t have my best stuff today.  
Not a good ball striking day. Hit 6 greens missing from <140 on 7 others not counting par 3s.  Didn’t miss a swing on the range, but on the course, didn’t  make a decent swing from inside 150.  That led to having to pitch and chip all day and that failed me too.  My first putt distance average was 28 feet on the front and 22 feet on the back. Had 6 1st putts ranging fro 35-60 feet today and 3 inside 15.

Career best on my home course.  Double bogey on Hole#2.  Yanked it left into some tree trouble.   Everything else on the front was straight forward pars.  Birdied 12-13-14 on the back making some slippery 12-15 footers.  Chipped in on a par 3 17th.  Left my tee shot short.  On 18 I pull up to the tee box and the spinklers were on!  Needing a birdie on 18 to shoot a 69!  I felt i had to tee off from the box not off to the side seeing that i was having a good round....timed my tee shot stepping over the spinklers and hit a low bullet down the middle to 150.  Approach was hole high to the left with a 18 foot left to right breaker.  Missed it and tapped in for a 70.  Re hit the putt and of course i made it!  Oh well, 32 on the back, i felt pretty good.

The day after the big hailstorm. Course was CPO so there was a lot of extra walking….ugh! FIR 7/14 50% GIR 5/18 28% with 35 Putts. The course lost a few critical trees, one that made a critical hazard to a short par 4.

Our course aerated and top dressed the greens last week.  The sand has washed through the top of the grass and we're left with a Pinko-like surface to putt on.  I know, it's the means to the end but it still makes putting and scoring much more difficult.

I had 30 putts total including one three putt from 35 ft.  On the plus side, my greens in regulation doubled to 22% due to hitting three of the four par 3's and on in three on the first par 5.  

My fairways hit was 64% (9 out of 14) but four of the misses were within two feet of hitting the fairway.  

I'm still struggling a little with the Paradym X irons I reviewed.   Even with the softer aerated greens, on our short par three sixteenth hole I hit a 7 iron to the front and it ran through to the back.  I'm supposed to get a lesson from one of our former pros this week who back visiting.  I'm hoping it will resolve some of my issues as I really would like to love these Paradym X irons!

So, after a tough day putting, at 66 years old, I'm off to get my first root canal this afternoon.  Even though one of the guys I play with is my dentist (and a very good one to boot), I'm not expecting any sympathy or extra strokes come Thursday's round!

This was an absolute day on the course. I got paired with 3 random people which is always iffy but they were all easy going and fun. The course has 27 holes split into 3 nines. For the layout I played we technically started on the 10th hole. My driver was on point, getting off the tee box clean and hitting decent approach shots to give myself putts. I am super happy about how I played but still not happy about the one 3 putt I had on a par 3 , or the 3 double bogeys. My goal this year is to break 80 and this was a great indicator that it's possible. I also had an absolute mash of a drive, yea the course was a little dry and it got a big bounce and a nice roll out but still it was a great feeling, I still bogied that hole so the long drives aren't always the key to low scoring.

Played great, tied PB for this course. Couldn't get the putts to fall, 42-44 for 86 +14, 35 putts 10/14 FW hit and 7/18 gir. I'll take it, as that previous round of 86 was September 2020 and 4-5 attempts since have resulted in scores of 92-101.

Had a doubleheader today: 36 holes.

First round after 10 days out of town for work. Never played this course. Shot a nice 83 and vlogged a few shots for fun (see 311 yds drive on 3rd hole below).

There are currently many forest fires located a few hundreds of miles away from my city, in the northern part of my region. That explains the smog in the video. Nature trully is scary. Stay safe everybody.

Played the "alternate" course at my home golf club and finally broke-80, albeit on a par 70 course!

Driver was cooperative today and it had a huge impact on the amount of birdie chances that I got (including a solid eagle chance).

If the forward tee has a rating and slope it shouldn't change anything. Your course handicap is calculated off whatever tee you play. Is the forward tee not rated for men?

I'm not sure that I understand the question about the linked thread but yeah, my swing is definitely outside-in and I've recently been struggling with many slices with driver. If your swing looks like this, yes, you do come over the top and cast the club.
