punched and sanded greens ....like really sandy greens. Pretty poor start on the first hole, but was able to settle down and put together a really solid round. 

Fun times and extremely happy with how I came off the tee.

Really frustrating day, was trying to bed in a new swing thought and had a new putter. Putter worked really well, doubles on 5 and 10 were both bad swings catching ground before ball on approaches from the middle of the fairway. 16th was me trying to hit the ball too hard off the tee putting myself in trouble and never recovering. And 18th, grr, I'm really getting p!ssed at the way people leave bunkers, rakes in the bunker up against the side that catches the ball, not raked. I landed in a deep unraked grove at 18, no way to get into the back of the ball ended up thru the green against the wall for another double.

Another hot one today, 100, with index of 105. Struggled a bit with the putter today, with three three-putts. Took a few penalties. Back nine was a bit more of a struggle, with several double bogeys. Although my score wasn’t my best, I can see my improvement. Last year—heck, a few months ago—a day like today would be at least 3 to 5 strokes worse.

After a month's hiatus to get moved back 'Home' & getting over a sore knee, there were a lot of tired swings/duffs on the back (42-50 = 92).

Only SGs were through putting (thank you, Bettinardi!) - everything else needs work, repetition & consistency.

At least I'm back Home & focus on golfing again 🥰

Thursday was the proverbial "tale of two nines." and the 2nd nine could be classified as the "nine from hell."  Started very nicely with two bogies and a birdie for a +1, 37. Then somewhere between the ninth green and the tenth tee a switch was flipped, and the canoe sprang a leak you couldn't plug with a 5-gal bucket... Staggered in with a 48 that could have very easily been 50+ if not for making some putts along the way. Still haven't figured out what happened to cause me to go off the rail like that but have decided to chalk it up to "that's golf," lick my wounds and move on.

Just a terrible swing day in a new course. Greens were lightning quick and bumpy. Lead to a bunch of 3 putts.

Not the worst round, even though I didn't score all that great. Balls plugging all over the place due to the rain last night. No roll on anything. Lost the ball on 1 due to it plugging and not finding it.

My pitching/chipping was much better despite my SG was negative. Greens had been sanded (not aerated though), so they weren't rolling perfectly. But I do see some light at the end of the tunnel with my irons. I had some really great strikes and distances, along with my normal bad ones.

New Mizuno STMax 230 driver did very well. 9/14 FIW, even without any roll averaged 233. Super straight driver. Not for someone who wants to work the ball, that's for sure. But worked great for me today. We'll see how the rest of the season goes.

Being consistently under 100 is so close I can feel it. At the start of the season 110 was an excellent score and now I shoot a 102 on a bad day. I fell apart on two of the par 3 holes and lost 6 strokes. I also had 2 penalties that cost me 2 strokes. On the positive side I didn’t let those two bad holes or the penalties get in my head and I am continuing to improve my consistency by hitting more good shots and fewer disastrous shots.

Shot of the day was on the final hole of the back 9.  Hard to describe all the details of the shot, multiple challenging conditions.  I hit an amazing wedge shot that landed me within 2 feet of the pin. Felt great to end the day with such a great shot.

To describe how bad my relationship with my driver has become I had my better drives with my 3 and 5 woods on the front 9 so I stopped using it on the back. Wedge game was great on the front, had a chip in and 2 that went to about a foot.
