I am shocked. We have had maybe two days since last March that were too cold for shorts. Yesterday it was in the 60's. it started raining last night and that turned to snow at 2 pm. It is now just after 3 and we have an inch on the ground And no let up expected for hours. It should be fun for those commuting tomorrow but I will be back home shortly after dark tonight. The closest thing to a snowplow in Texas is the zamboni the Stars use.

I gotta get on a desktop cause the mobile version only shows peoples profile pics.

Rick I don't get how we've been living with mostly 32* temps for weeks and you get the white Christmas! So sorry you couldn't golf today.

Merry Christmas everyone!

That's funny, lol. I mean, you were in shorts a few days ago.

What's the wheather supposed to be like through the week-end? We're supposed to get hit with a winter storm. I think 2-4". Oh Boy!

Merry Christmas

So far it looks like we're going to be hit by nothing but rain... In Vancouver I'd be kinda worried if we didn't! But hey, at least golfing in the rain is a possibility so can't complain about that!

Too late Dan! You already got him sucked in! I tried to warn him. But there's no going back now!

I admit, the white Christmas is much prettier now that I am back home. It took 40 minutes to drive the 45 miles to my sister's house. It took 1 hour and 34 minutes to get home with the traction control light flashing every few seconds. Sometimes over night we have accumulations of snow, usually ice, but come on. It was 70 last weekend and 60 yesterday. I told Lady Jane there was no reason to take the Range Rover, there would be no snow on the roads.

I was wrong. It started snowing at my sister's just as we arrived at 2. By 3:15 there was an inch on the cars and ground and by 3:30 all the water that was in the streets from the rain started to turn to slush. We left then and had to stop for gas and well, married men understand the problem there. Of course the pump did not work, and when I finally got one that did, and got on the roads they were covered. No big deal, I thought. However, travel here to there is not on an interstate and let's just say the farther we went the worse it got. I had her take some pictures but they did not come out to well.

The funny thing is that it is we snow and stuck to the signs so there were people who were obviously lost. Right now I can not see the freaking street, 55 feet from my front door. Buckets of snow and 25 mph wind.

I know you guys in NY state are laughing at me, but I was in Syracuse, NY one day when they got 48 inches of snow. It was beautiful all day long and you had much more difficulty staying out of the way of the snow plows than driving. This is not the case here. Roads are made to cause the water to run off fast. They seem to have more crown than northern roads. Snow and ice are not a consideration more than one or three days per year.

Any way, it was not that bad, it is just that I scoffed at the weather report that said we had a 100% chance of snow at 4 pm on Christmas Day. It was 70 and we were having a beer on the patio discussing the weather.

I'm not ready to dampen the exhuberance & enthusiasm of youth, though might I suggest MBrP that you put swingin in the rain on the back burners and take full advantage of the huge heart that your Bro-in-law posesses & show up bright & early tomorrow morning(If I'm not mistaken, your retail stores open a tad earlier tomorrow than usual), and take a ride to the nearest golf equipment store,

It looks as though your putter is taken care of(Though we do have to talk at a later time because you should have at least a three putter rotation for when the Ghost goes cold, though that can wait), however you should have a 19-22* hybrid, if not in the bag, at least ready to put in depending on #1, how you're swingin and #2, the course & layout that you're playing. I think that this would be a beautiful gift for Boxer Day 2012 :P

Again, just a thought B)

Merry Christmas

Oh boy we're creating a monster! Don't encourage the guy.

Starting @ 10am.

new remote - DVR one is shot

Memory card for MbrP's dad's new smart phone

MbrP needs a new mouse

Possible:

Golf Town had TP5's for $25/dz

Dan would entertain a ATV wedge

Man, how desperate is this?

I'm so starved for golf that I'm watchin The Deutsche Bank Championship on the GC for the FOURTH time.

Even having taken my night meds, I know not only know who won, though for Rory, Louis & Tiger, I can tell ya where their shots are gonna go before they hit 'em on the last three holes. It's either that or 3rd rate Christmas ficks(none of the classics, they're all 1-2 star circa 2009-2011 flicks dry.gif )

The NCIS marothon doesn't start until tomorrow :D

Hope Ya'll had a great Christmas Day!!

Alright Bro, here are your choices:

1) Ben Hogan Special-S Berylium 56*, 8* Bounce(Forged)-This Beylium is really cool lookin, copper look

2) Cleveland 588DSG(Dual Sole Grind) 56*, 10* Bounce

3) Ben Hogan 5808 Forged 58*, 8* bounce

If you're definitely goin with the TMaG, cool, though if not, these are three sweet wedges that are prisine with no bag time and only a few practice balls hit, and zero groove wear, like new.

They're in my closet and they're not comin out.

The Hogan wedges can be bent (+)(-)3* either way, the Cleveland (+)(-)2*

Dependin on what ya use your 55-56* wedge for, ya may not want the same sole.

If one catches your fancy, let me know & I'll e-mail ya pics

Fairways & Greens 4ever

My wife said if I set up my net in the back yard she would take my picture so I could post it. I told her that you all were all familiar with snow, and you already knew I was crazy. The temperature is 25* and honestly for some reason I have no desire to go outside and just for a picture. If you want to see some idiot wacking golf balls in the snow, most of you can do it yourself.

No no no. That's the easy way out! What y'ought ta do is go hit balls in your shorts in the snow the same as you were playing in shorts the other day! C'mon Mr. "it's 65* here."!!! Are you just a fair weather golfer? :D

Actually, we went out a couple of hours ago and played in the snow, in the Range Rover. It felt cold when we went out. Now, the thermometer says 32* but there is no wind and the sun is shinning and it feels warmer. I was just out cleaning out the Rover and not wearing a coat. so doing that would not be a big deal now. The snow will probably be gone tomorrow and golf this weekend, shorts again next week. Nothing like winter in East Texas. We may have more snow twice more this winter, but we will have 70* days in between them.

I have tried to play golf in the snow. The main problem is that you lose too many balls.

After careful consideration I realized it was not everyday that I get a request to pose in a minimal amount of clothing to be placed on the internet. All my thongs were off getting resized. (at Omar the Tent Makers) So this is the best I could do. I did not realize that I was in the shade of a tree and because of the snowball fight that ensued shortly after these were taken, the wife will not come back outside until the snow is gone.:P

Ok lemme get caught up while we're waiting for lunch.

Rick how is it you find the only shadow when taking this outdoor shot?

RP hang onto the wedges, if I'm going to get one it'll be the ATV cause I love the soles. THX so much for the offer. :)

As for hulk I refuse to post a welcome as I feel it is adding fuel to the fire. Is it rude not to post welcome when I do for everyone else? Give it a week and see what happens.

I can't believe I'm sitting in a restaurant right now with Mrs. And MbrP and we're all reading the same thread.

While Lady Jane was willing to step outside and take a picture. Since it is below 70* this was a huge thing for her. She is from South Africa and has never been too hot in her life but does not like the cold. She was not about to step off the back patio into the snow, so I had to move directly in front of her. I was no where near that tree but the shadow stretched across the yard.

The temptation was too much for her and she grabbed a handful of snow to throw at me. However, she was apparently unaware that you had to pack it and she never came close. While I may not have the same experience as someone who grew up in the frozen tundra of the north, I did know to pack the snow. I hit her once in the forehead, and once in the back of the head and it was game over. She did dump a bowl of snow that was on the patio on my head.
