The West has been baked this summer. We've had at least 5 heat waves with temps of over 105* f this year. Yesterday was 106* and today should be 102*. I'm ready for Fall.

Florida guys, lower East Coast maybe Gulf States we got a PO'd chick named Irma trying to make life miserable this weekend (and beyond).

Around here, central FL people R buying up everything especially water, long gas lines until stations run out.

Hope we all get lucky and only get wet and minor damage. Good luck guys.

A little update. All the hotels, motels around us are at capacity. The word is that some of the folks from the Keys and South FL are evacuating to this area of Central FL. Rumor has it that rates are at a low $55-$65 and the pet ban has been waived. Good to C folks not rate gouging!

There's a moon? Can barely make out sun through the smoke. I think half of west coast is on fire. Go out in the morning and the windshield is gray with ash. Leaving the golf course this afternoon it looked like it was snowing. Been like this for weeks with the odd clearish day. Supposed to rain tomorrow we could sure use it.

Wow!  Just like that, summer's over.  Two days ago high was 92 and sunny.  Today high is 75 and the low tomorrow night is 39; pretty much the same for the next week.  Rain is forecasted for Sunday/Monday which is good because we haven't had any since June.  Won't be long before we have frost delays in the mornings.

My brother-in-law live north of Seattle.  He says you play in the rain or you don't play.  I really don't like the rain which is why in 1970 I moved to the dry side of the Cascades from the Willamette Valley in Oregon.  We play in the wind, but that's preferable to being wet any day in my book.

Beautiful blue skies all the way through next weekend is projected.  The problem is the temps are going to be in the upper eighties.  Today I am going to a football game to watch a friend's son play a JV game at 4:00 p.m.    Those kids are going to roast out there!

It felt sooooooo good walking my dog this morning. Nice and cool at 54 degrees with a slight breeze.

Hey! I had the same experience this morning. I could've walked ten miles with him it felt so good. Had to come in because the wifey needed me to run to the grocery store.

Never seen a weather pattern like this before since I've been in Jax.  We're in the 2nd day of what's forecast to be a 9 day Nor' easter!  Strong winds out of the east, northeast with periods of rain, heavy rain through a week from Tuesday.  20 to 25 mph winds, with stronger gusts, although the temps are a comfortable low 80s.  Supposed to play Tuesday, at this point forecasted to be dry, but windy.  

Nonchalant putts count the same as chalant putts.
