I will never change my picks again. This is ridiculous. DJ is +6 for the tournament...he's +6 on 17 and 18 alone. 

 

I don't blame him, i blame myself for thinking he'd do well at The Open. Furk. 

 

Definitely some surprises on the scoreboard.  JT, Rahm, Bubba, Kaymer, Garcia, Poulter, will all be spectators over the weekend.  Seeing Zach and Kisner at the top is not all that surprising now that I think about it. The not so long ball hitters making a run at it.

It look like the rain took some fire out of the course.😟

It looks like it will be windy though. 😃

Big hitters didn't fair so well. It really shows that to win an Open, you can't overpower the course, you just have to think your way around the course.

Shaping up to be an exciting weekend.

I think someone from back in the pack like Mickelson will win.

I'm still in Koepka's corner. I'm expecting a very similar Sunday to the US Open.

A Zach Johnson vs. Kevin Kisner shootout would be really entertaining. But so would a Rory McIlroy vs. Tommy Fleetwood, or a Bruce Koepka vs. Justin Spieth... or any combination of the above.  I just want to see a horse race at the finish much like we did at the US Open.

 

That said, I predict Tiger catches fires and takes the jug on the second hole of a three man playoff.

I agree about Koepka.  I am hoping he can get hot and make a run tomorrow.  I was wishing Brendan Steele could build on a good first round today but he didn't fair as well as I had hoped.

I like the leaderboard, there's a couple sleepers, also some good names, and some familiar faces. I was thinking ZJ would play well, accurate off the tee and not very long, but the roll he gets allows him to hit many wedges, and he's pretty good with those, Kevin Kisner playing well, and he's a SC guy. A fun fan favorite with Tommy Fleetwood, Kuch right in the mix. Rory in hunt as well. Phil and Tiger seem to be right about where I thought they would be. In mix but a few shots back, they need a big round today. Then there's Speith, hasn't played well the last few weeks, but finds himself right near the top. This should be a pretty good Saturday. How's goong to continue to play well and who will not. Exciting times at the Open.

I am trying my best to appreciate Open golf but it's difficult when they look like cow pastures. I know it's the home of golf but I'm not going to bite my tongue anymore. The saving grace for me is that it's televised golf at 8 am.

The greens on links courses are probably the smoothest and fastest you'll ever play on so not quite cow pastures.

 

However if it's pristine manicured lush fairways with color enhanced greens and water then that's ok, we all like different things in life.

Different strokes for different folks. You know that feeling when you see something and you either love it or not in your gut? I don't love it. It just doesn't click in my head.

 

I understand why folks appreciate it, it's just not for me.

 

I've played plenty of domestic Links golf; haven't had the opportunity to play abroad.
