Good morning all on a beautiful Friday morning that will be leading into a great weather weekend for Mother's Day. We are planning on heading to my in-laws cabin for the weekend to do some fishing and whatever else fun we may come up with. Short work day today as I have an acupuncture appointment at 11am that'll last 90 minutes (first one so a lengthy initial consult) an then calling it a day after that. I've been having some nagging shoulder soreness in my right shoulder. I am not sure if it is from trying to snag waywardly thrown baseballs by the little guys on my baseball team or sleeping on it wrong. I remember one night about a week and a half ago, I woke up and my arm was completely numb from shoulder to fingers, so I know I was in an awfully awkward position. I am going to take as many avenues as possible before going to my doctor because it feels like soreness and not acute pain which I would associate with a joint injury. I am hoping it isn't serious as the thought of losing my entire summer and golf season in which I have set some lofty goals for myself just makes me sad lol.

TGIF? TGIF!!!

Wedding day today for the son of one of my wife's longest time and closest friends. One of several this year and next year and who knows how many more yet to be announced?? (dammm kids growing up and turning into adults )

Need a non golf day anyway .. actually a little tired and sore from yesterday .. did a bunch of range practice then played 9.

So being lazy this morning while the wife is busy busy busy phone calls texts nails hair prepping who knows what else..... I "assume" (hope!) my dark suit still fits and I put it away clean!!

Well hope you have an enjoyable day today, and if there's any golfing to be done then have fun with it!!

I have the further complication that my mom's birthday is always near or exactly on Mother's Day. They're two days apart this year; she'll be 84 on Tuesday. So I sent a joint gift which is scheduled to arrive today. Also sent one to GF, who has no human kids but plenty of feline ones. Card there says Happy Cat Mom's Day!

Similar complication with my dad, actually. He was born on New Year's Day, seven days after Christmas. We solve that by not exchanging Christmas presents at all, and I call him on his birthday. Next NYD will be 86. He's healthy as a horse, which is more than I can say for Mom.

Golf stuff: I've been taking a short break from FFG, Rypstick and golf in general as the right shoulder is acting up. It's better this morning so maybe I'll do something later. Rain expected at the Casa though. Might have to do Rypstick in the garage.

Slept in a little so will have to review the rest of the morning's posts. Some work to be done but not bad.

Welcome to the asylum! As I frequently point out, the inmates here are generally friendly, if monomaniacally obsessed.

I hear you about the coffee. GF fusses at me if I get up first and don't make it. Also, GF sent me to the store yesterday for the usual pay-day grocery run; this particular store also usually has excellent raspberry-filled donuts, and yesterday was no exception. So I bought a dozen. GF got up first today, made the coffee and had three donuts. I've had one so far; I think another one is calling my name along with the second cuppa.

Morning all! Had a great round of golf yesterday (due to the weather and course condition, but my play) and looking for the same today! This time I’ll be walking. Headed to a baseball game tonight with the wife and son before hopefully a much needed relaxing weekend (yes I remembered Mother’s Day haha). Have a good one!

It’s a Friday, but sadly I can’t play a round today but I will be heading to a range and an indoor launch monitor.  Hopefully it will be a great driving day.

Hope everyone gets in a round today or this weekend.  Hopefully the weather will be better for the golfers in the MidWest.

Good morning spies! Another Wild Bunch day today and I am really going to try and not donate to someone else cause. Going to be really nice with temps topping out at around 90 and a whole 12% humidity.  My mantra for today's round is PLANNING and AIMING. I am going to make it work. 

The weekend will be spent chasing the trailer brakes problem on my 23 Colorado. The idiots at vans plug in their tester to the connector on the rear bumper and it produces a "service trailer" on the truck, and they unplug and say there is no problem. I then ask is your tester working, they say yes, then I say there is a big problem. There is no trailer attached to the truck! How can the trailer need servicing if it is NOT attached to the truck?? My service guy frowns and says I will have to check on that. I am done. This weekend I will hook it up to 3 different trailers and take videos of the same exact error, then build a light and brake magnet tester and show that produces the same error on video, then show that to my service guy. 

Now that I think of it I can bring the test rig with me to the dealership. Hmmmm that should prove interesting.

@PhilHartSway welcome to the forum and a coffee tip .. depending on the type of coffee maker you use .. we set it up the night before (water, filter, grinds) where weekdays are on Auto and weekends just push the On button.

@Dead Solid Bogey cracks me up you feel, umm, "safer" in Cartel Alley vs at home!!  

@taylorjonasher hope you survive the night maybe run the gang thru one of your power lifting routines to wear them out!!

@Erin B good luck at the tournament but whatever happens it should be a great time .. enjoy!!

@GolfSpy_KFT hope the acupuncture can help you - it has really been beneficial for my back!!

Good morning all!

Currently relaxing in our mountain Airbnb somewhere near Asheville, North Carolina. This place has it all: hot tub, movie theatre, sauna, arcade and more. 

I started my morning with some time in the sauna to sweat out the alcohol consumed last night while watching the NBA playoffs in the movie theatre. 

No real plans on the agenda today. Should be pretty lowkey as we get settled in for the weekend.

That's kinda wild, but here's a random thought - what if the last error code saved in the truck's computer doodad _was_ generated from the trailer? (..or maybe the trailer doesn't even send error codes?)

I'm on the colorado fans forum (just for research and info), and found out the module for the tow/brake controller is above the spare tire carrier.  Also look where the pigtail connects to the dozen wires behind the drivers side bumper for corroded or separated connections.( I have a 2018 WT)

Love that area!!! My 20th annual motorcycle trip to that area is this year.

For sure. This is something I know well given my profession. Always seems that in my field, you're a little more stubborn to admit you're actually injured even though you have the knowledge to understand it

GolfSpyWife is on her way to mom's house in NJ so it's just me and the boys this weekend. 

Golf tournament early Sat morning and for some reason we're in this cycle of beautiful sunny spring days midweek and overcast and cool days on the w/e. Going to be a cool one but should be fun nonetheless.

Might have seen it in another thread but I've spent the week on a hunt for a set of irons with graphite and decided to move forward with the 718 ap2 with steelfiber. Appreciate all of the earlier advice - special shoutout to @chisag - I tried a number of different types and the move from steel to graphite w/steelfiber seems to be the smoothest and every time I tried them I couldn't stop thinking about them. The recoils were close, but something about the SF....  

They can't get here soon enough. I had a bad case of the hooks with the one length on the range yesterday...

For all that still are able to celebrate mother's day with your mom I hope it goes well! Have a great weekend, gang.

Good morning and happy Friday, spies!

Aside from work, the plan to today is to test out the strained serratus anterior and see if I can hit balls without much discomfort, then see how quickly I recover. Only a small number of balls on the range and then more chipping and putting practice. I *need* to try out the new TSR2 7-wood against the old Rogue ST Max and confirm I've made the right change. Ha ha.

The muscle still aches a little, but it's vastly improved over a few weeks ago. I'm itching to get out on the course and I hope to be ok to play in Italy in 10 days and weekly 9-hole league when it starts at the end of the month. I'll definitely be focusing more on quality over quantity of hitting balls going forward and spending more time on whole body strength and conditioning in the garage gym more than I have done in the past year or so.

The weather today is perfect. Sunny and warm, but not too hot. Hoping that's a good omen. Clutching for any straws available. lol

Happy Friday mid-morning MGS,

Back home after a work trip earlier this week. My eye started twitching looking at the grass this morning. It's been only 5 days since I mowed and with all the rain that dropped its so freaking high. Lawn work on the docket this weekend. Really want to get more range time in but backyard chipping is more likely with other activities honoring all the mamas going on. And they deserve all the praise!
