Got a question for all of you guys.  Metallurgy, material science and the like is way beyond my pay grade.  Do any of you guys know what would cause the discoloration going on with my 3w?  It was all the same shade of gray a couple of years ago.  This has been changing for the last year iirc.

The way its darker in the center, almost boxed off is strange. Could be from cleaning the grooves over the years or maybe they had some face tech on that 3w that could cause that. Very strange though.

Played 18 today in terrible conditions. Cold, right after a heavy rain with some misting showers mixed in. I had a rough front 9, but shot great on the back. I drained a 12ft eagle putt on 18 for -3 on the back with a bogey mixed in. Missed a few 5-7ft birdies putts too. Felt like I was sticking everything for a stretch.

Fertilizer and none of us wipe our clubs down well enough!! Really bad on putters as those little granules you see on the green are bad news!!

Welcome my fellow spies to Sunday;  the 23hr. day. Not only did I survive the self induced stupidity of engorging on mudbugs to the point of almost engaging in “ Power Puking “….. but myself  and a committee of self proclaimed experts and geniuses almost solved all the worlds problems. Alas, before we could finish the problem solving, some ignorant heathen bar owner, closed the bar and showed us to the door. Bar closures and what to do about them has moved to the top of the list of problems to be solved. 
  Heading home, after taking a couple of the committee to their respective homes. Once home, I will perused the DO NOT DARE list the “ fearless  female ruler “ left behind. Hoping to get an idea of what to do next during my time of freedom….. I will be paying a steep price when you-know-who returns. So, whatever I do, had better be worth it. 

Here is to hoping that you all have 25 hrs. of joy, happiness, and fun on this day. May golf be part of your day.

Good morning to all and a happy Sunday morning.  So as I sit here enjoying my morning espresso and with clocks moving forward by an hour.   It doesn’t really mean an extra hour of golf when it’s 1* C outside and feels like snow.  Weather correction, it now is snowing.  Ah the beauty of living in Canada. Good morning spies and happy clock jump day, well, for most of us.

I still have 3 analog wall clocks, and 4 digital ones to change over. Oh, and the vehicles too...crap forgot about all the watches as well. 

NOTHING  noteworthy planned for this Sunday . But I will be practicing a bit indoors on putts. 

Mother nature has decided to shed her spring coat and went back to winter mode for some reason. Woke up to temps of 41⁰ and windy.  Brrrrrr

Good Morning everyone!  Hope you set your clocks forward so you don’t miss your tee time today.

‘Woke up to 43 deg which is waaaaay nicer than the 28 deg yesterday.  After the 2 hour frost delay we teed off at noon and it was only 46 deg then with a breeze.  I shot an even par 37 with one bogey and one birdie on the front nine.  The back nine was a different game; shot 5 over 40 for a round of 77.  Missed my age by 2 months!1

Good morning all! Daylight savings time is upon us which means 6am dew sweeper rounds and evening 9s are almost upon us here in Wisconsin and I can’t wait. 

Last day before heading down to Mexico so finishing packing and then heading to Milwaukee this evening to fly out early tomorrow. 

Stopped in at Golf Galaxy yesterday and hit the Ai Smoke TD, Qi10 LS and Darkspeed LS and all I can say is holy smokes what a year for drivers. Fast ball speeds, forgiving, and long.

Good morning spies. 19°F to start the day so I think that I’ll stay inside for now. Should get to 52° today. The good news is that temps should be in the high 60s for a few days starting tomorrow.

No solid plans on the day, maybe tackle a couple of projects at home and work on some putting.

Good morning! We rolled the clocks forward this morning and looked out the windows and saw this unwelcome white stuff!

 

We’re going to get some donuts this morning to “celebrate” the snow and then church and then this afternoon we should be meeting with a plumber to go over our kids bathroom project.

I didn't know this until just now, apparently it was a problem with Mavrik fairway woods.  I am not the world's best but I do take extra care of putter and driver!

Golf is a game of confidence (or I guess for some of the sandbaggers out there it's a confidence game )...

.. and so in that way it's kinda like trust in a relationship, or your fitness level as you age or maybe your money in Vegas...

.. as in it can leave you quickly and easily and then be very hard and take a long time to get back...

Hmmm okay well back to my coffee! And some more swing practice later...

Good morning everyone. Up early but not for golf but rather for my other hobby. Brewing a hazy IPA in the garage today. Got the water warming up and now time to drink some coffee and watch some soccer while I wait. Golf is on the docket for the next few days while temps reach the high 60s and low 70s. As much as I hate losing an hour of sleep, so far I’m off to a great start today. Hoping everyone makes the most of your 23 hours today!!

It does kind look like the outline of the face to me, eg where it's welded or brazed or whatever'ed onto the body .. tho couldn't guess the cause other than environmental factors and/or chemical exposure like Marlin Dave suggested..?

Did you try a metal cleaner or a magic eraser pad?

Good Morning MGS Troops from Mesquite NV! Was a long couple days! We drove all night Friday and made a stop in Hurricane UT to play Sky Mountain http://www.skymountaingolf.com/ and let me tell you, that course is awesome! But the starter forgot to tell us how hard the greens were and that no ball would hold. Not one from our group could hold the greens. It was crazy!!!

anyway, have another round today in Mesquite NV. Will let you know how it goes! Happy Birdie Hunting!!!

I'm just getting moving and drinking coffee after sleeping in on my one day off this weekend. I'm a little down in my back and might head to the chiropractor tomorrow after work, so nothing golf related for me.

At least the sun is shining this morning after a few days of rain. Here's to hoping better weather is on the way.

One cuppa down. One to go. Dottie our foster dog was adopted yesterday. So happy for this bundle love. The adoption process will take a few days to clear so we will continue to foster her until that is finalized. 
We will batten down the hatches in CNY for a winter storm tonight into tomorrow. Not much on tap for today. I am feeling the pull of baseball season though. I renewed MLB TV for this season.

Good morning Spies on this "DST Spring Forward" Sunday here, although @jbern has displayed a picture of what it looks like in my area too. 

Mid 20's, windy and high of low 3o's today, but supposed to get to 50 tomorrow so it won't last long.

Did manage to get some range time in, and a SIM round in yesterday, so today will be doing tasks around the house and watching the final round of the AP Invitational.

Hope your day is the best it can be, and that something fun and enjoyable is in your plans.

Nice!  Loved Sky Mountain even though I played in a light rain… no problem holding greens.

Good morning and happy Sunday to you all.

I have yet to go through the morning thread as I just woke up and I need a coffee badly. Who knew it was daylight savings time, again? Does this happen every year? Sheesh. Anyways, lesson at 10am this morning with instructor Danny Lee at Heartwell GC. I am excited, optimistic, full of questions and ready to learn. I think a primary weakness he will instantly notice is my weight shifting but he is the instructor and I really don't know. In any circumstance, I am ready.
